Remember Agent Scully from the ‘X-Files’??? Well she sat down recently and discussed her sexuality with Out Magazine: “I was in a relationship with a girl for a long time when I was in high school, and then I was in a relationship with a punk rock drug addict who…” Wait, a lesbian relationship? “Yeah, yeah, well it’s… You know, I’m old enough that I can talk about that,” she says, before resuming her list: “And then I was in a relationship with somebody who was way, way older than me. Everything that that kind of anarchistic attitude brings—the inappropriate behavior it leads to—was how I chose to be in the world at that time, which was, you know, not what people did.” Much of this has been written before — how she dyed her hair purple, how she glued the school gates shut on graduation night, the drugs and alcohol — but her lesbian romance is something new. Understandably, she is wary of making a big deal of it, precisely because it is a big deal for so many people. “If I had thought I was 100% gay, would it have been a different experience for me?” she wonders. “Would it have been a bigger deal if shame had been attached to it and all those things that become huge life-altering issues for youngsters in that situation? It’s possible that my attitude around it came, on some level, from knowing that I still liked boys.” Anderson says she has had relation-ships with other women, but they have been the exception, not the rule. She is, of course, aware of the lesbian fan base — in a 2007 episode of The Graham Norton Show, a popular U.K. talk show, the mischievous host invited her to read aloud from a lesbian foreign phrase book, to which she gamely responded, “Lick my cl*t,” only to realize that Norton intended her to deliver the phrase in German. But for many of those fans, it wasn’t Anderson they were responding to; it was Dana Scully, the FBI special agent she played in an oversized trench and sensible shoes on The X-Files. It’s clear that Anderson doesn’t want to make more of her admission than it warrants, but it goes to the heart of the instincts that animate her life. Wow. Who knew??? Grammy winning singer Usher is refusing to fork $50,000 over to his wife so she can pay legal fees she’s accumulated by fighting the R&B star for custody of their two sons. Usher finds Tameka Foster’s request ridiculous and counters that his ex-wife constantly defies court orders and files pointless motions, including one where she wanted Usher to be forced to take a drug test. The “Climax” singer says he’s already given Tamkea Raymond $25,000 for lawyers fees and has paid most of her legal bills, despite him being the defendant. Usher also feels her actions “directly harm the best interests of the minor children. Clearly, such actions should not be tolerated, much less rewarded.” Source RELATED: Usher Releases “Climax” [MUSIC VIDEO] Usher Fires Back At Ex-Wife Tameka Foster! ‘It’s a bit of a hyperreality … very violent, at the same time, it’s very funny,’ star tells MTV News at South by Southwest film festival. By Kara Warner Despite the fact Matthew McConaughey is a homegrown Texan, this is the first year he’s attending Austin’s annual South by Southwest film festival in support of a film of his that was selected. And McConaughey isn’t just in town for one premiere — he’s here for two: “Killer Joe” and “Bernie.” In “Joe,” the “Lincoln Lawyer” star plays a contract killer hired by a young man (Emile Hirsch) who’s trying to get rid of his mom for stealing his drugs. Sound outrageous? It is. So much so that the castmembers revealed that while watching some of the scenes, they didn’t know if they should laugh or be offended. “It’s a comedy, but everyone played it straight,” McConaughey told MTV News at the SXSW premiere Saturday night. “It wasn’t a comedy where you played the joke. The situations are absurd. It’s a bit of a hyperreality like in some good Tarantino films — very violent, at the same time, it’s very funny.” Co-star Gina Gershon added, “The wonderful thing about it is that you could be watching a scene and … one person watching is totally horrified and the other is laughing their head off. Sometimes, it’s like, ‘This is kind of sexy.’ ‘No, it’s horrible!’ ‘No, it’s funny.’ It really screws with your emotions a lot.” Hirsch admitted that the fact that his character hires a hitman to kill his mom is extreme, but she asked for it when she stole his drugs. “It’s kind of crazy. I think the MTV crowd — whoever those Music Television-loving people are out there — could like it,” he said. “I don’t know. I’m not going to tell them they will.” The “Into the Wild” star said he liked the insanity of the story — and that he got to act with a limp. “It was good. [Director William] Friedkin kept coming up to me and was like, ‘Don’t forget the pain. Let me see that limp, let me see that leg.’ ” McConaughey said he expects a lot of delayed laughter from audiences because people can’t decide whether they should find the situations funny: “It’s the kind of late laugh that you go, ‘I’m not supposed to be laughing, but I just found myself laughing, and is it OK for me to laugh at that ’cause I just did?’ I like it.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com . An American television producer found dead on a hotel balcony in Uganda last week died after taking contaminated coke, police and a private investigator said on Saturday. An official toxicology report confirmed the narcotic was in Jeff Rice’s blood, dispelling initial suspicions the father of two known for his work on the U.S. show “The Amazing Race” had been poisoned by attackers. Rice, who was found slumped over a table bleeding through the nose and mouth, died of asphyxiation, a post mortem showed. Drug users who fall unconscious risk inhaling vomit. “Rice … used cocaine which had lethal additives and that’s what killed him,” Uganda police spokesperson Asuman Mugenyi told Reuters. Brad Nathanson, a private investigator and friend of Rice, said he had been shown the toxicology report by police and there was no evidence of foul play in Rice’s death. “In fact it was as a result of buying bad drugs, coke to be specific … it was a bad concoction,” Nathanson told reporters. “I have read the toxicology report … it shows that there were small traces of coke in their blood and urine,” he said, adding he had traveled to Uganda as a friend of the Rice family following rumors he had been poisoned, and not for payment. Rice’s assistant, identified as Kathryne Fuller, was found unconscious when Rice’s body was discovered Feb. 18 at the Serena hotel in the capital, Kampala. She is now reported to be conscious but paralyzed down the right side of her body. Early on, there had been speculation that the two had been poisoned, then that they might have been forced to consume the drugs, because of the high amount of coke in Rice’s stomach. NBC News contributor Clint van Zandt said on the “TODAY Show” on Saturday that it seemed unlikely that Rice would have willingly taken that amount of coke. If Rice and Fuller were believed to have voluntarily consumed the drugs, Fuller could be prosecuted under Uganda’s drug laws. Ugandan police said on Saturday they had arrested a man who confessed selling drugs to the pair who had been in the east African country working on a documentary. SMH. Sherri Shepherd is on Team Breezy. The View host has been vocal in defense of Chris Brown before, so it’s no surprise that she stood up for the star in the wake of this week’s Grammy lovefest backlash . All Brown did was show up at the award show, perform and win. No controversy at all. Yet his mere presence at the event after his 2009 attack on Rihanna upset many. While Shepherd criticized female fans who Tweet about how they’d let Chris beat them all night (among other things), Shepherd defended Brown from criticism. He may even be a role model, she says. Why? Sherri Shepherd Defends Chris Brown “There may be a child in a situation of going through abuse that Chris Brown has gone through. His mother was abused right in front of his very eyes six years before this happened to Rihanna. He used to wet his pants from the fear,” Shepherd says. “He was a victim! He became an offender. He did what the courts told him to do. He went to 52 weeks, a year of domestic prevention counseling.” That’s all true, and she makes a strong case. But on the flip side, critics will point to the (perceived) utter lack of responsibility Brown has taken for his actions. Behind-the-scenes blowups, arrogance and a lack of remorse (real or otherwise) contribute to the lack of forgiveness in people’s eyes. Not heartlessness. What do you think? Is Chris Brown a role model?

Let’s all stop and give thanks for Nancy Grace, shall we? Seriously, without this attention-starved egomaniac, we might not know just how low humanity can sink. Earlier today, during an appearance on CNN Newsroom with Brooke Baldwin, the blowhard evoked the instances of Anna Nicole Smith and Michael Jackson when talking about Whitney Houston, wondering whether someone else played a role in the singer’s death. “I’d like to know who was around her, who – if anyone – gave her drugs… following alcohol and drugs, and who let her slip, or pushed her, underneath that water?” Grace asked, referring to reports that Whitney’s body was found in a hotel room bathtub. “Apparently, no signs of force or trauma to the body. Who let Whitney Houston go under her water? ” Forget the fact that initial reports indicate Houston did NOT die by drowning ; and forget the fact that it seems perfectly reasonable someone could overdose on pills and pass out in a bathtub… Grace is on a role, folks! Grace claims that three prescription drug containers for the same drug – benzodiazepine – were found on the scene, each from three different doctors. No other source corroborates this assertion and CNN itself has released a statement saying “we don’t know that to be true,” but, come on, people! Grace simply MUST weed out a potential Conrad Murray for ratings justice’s sake. “They were medicating her out the yin-yang,” she said.

Excerpt from:

Whitney Houston’s family was told by L.A. County Coroner officials the singer did not die from drowning, but rather from what appears to be a combination of Xanax and other prescription drugs mixed with alcohol, reports TMZ . TMZ also reported that water was found in Whitney’s lungs, but it was not enough water to lead to the conclusion that she drowned. TMZ reports that the family was told Whitney may have died before her head was submerged in water. The site also reported that it was actually Whitney’s aunt, Mary Jones, who discovered Whitney’s body in the bathtub. Initial reports suggested Whitney’s body would be flown back to Atlanta, where she lived for several years with Bobby Brown and daughter Bobbi Kristina, but CNN is now reporting that Whitney’s mother, Cissy Houston, wants Whitney’s body flown to New Jersey, where Whitney was born. ‘You will always remember where you were … when you heard the news,’ Simon Cowell says, echoing the sentiments after Jackson’s death. By Tomika L. Anderson Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston in 1988 Photo: WireImage Few people will forget where they were when they heard that the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, had died in June 2009. And now, the same can be said for 1980s and ’90s Queen of Pop Whitney Houston . The beloved, long-suffering singer died Saturday inside a Beverly Hills hotel room, hours before she was expected to attend a pre-Grammy Awards party thrown by her longtime mentor Clive Davis . And while the official cause of death is yet unknown — what’s been speculated so far is that Houston may have drowned in the bathtub after taking prescription drugs, including Xanax — given her very public struggle with substance abuse, depression and anxiety over the past decade, it’s hard not to conclude that some drug- or alcohol-related accident may have been to blame. It’s much like, most recently, British singer Amy Winehouse and the late, great Michael Jackson before her, who died after taking a fatal cocktail of propofol and two other drugs. Also like Jackson, Houston’s sudden death — at the age of 48 — has stopped the world in its tracks, an enormous, one-of-a-kind musical flame forever extinguished. Even Jackson’s brother, Jermaine — who was first introduced to Houston years ago by Clive Davis at the same Beverly Hills Hilton where the singer passed away — could not help but draw the comparison. In an interview with CNN overnight, he paid tribute to the two fallen musical giants. “They shared a lot of success in the late ’80s and they were great friends,” he said. “I’m happy and honored to have been a part of their lives.” And oh, what lives they led: Like Jackson — who died at just 50 years old, after years of struggling with personal demons — Houston, too, had an intensely profound and everlasting impact on the world of entertainment. Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson and countless other chart-topping entertainers have all name-checked her as their musical mentor, icon and inspiration: To date, she is one of the best-selling artists of all time, with more than 170 million albums, songs and videos sold. In her lifetime, Houston achieved what precious few of them have or ever will — stacking an astonishing 415 awards, including six Grammys, two Emmys, 22 American Music Awards, 30 Billboard Awards. Her voice, in its prime, was a national treasure. “X Factor” mastermind Simon Cowell may have summed it up the best: On “Piers Morgan Tonight,” he said, “She was one of the greatest voices in our lifetime. Whitney was the number one singer that other singers want to emulate. People like that can’t be manufactured. They’ve either got, it or they don’t.” He added, “You will always remember where you were and what you were doing when you heard the news.” Like Michael before her, gone too soon. MTV News’ Sway and James Montgomery will be live from the Grammys red carpet tonight starting at 5 p.m. ET to get reactions from music’s biggest stars on the death of Whitney Houston. Watch reactions and remembrances at MTV.com. Share your condolences with Whitney’s family and friends on our Facebook page.
