Ali MacGraw on Just Tell Me What You Want, Oprah’s ‘Nonsense’ and the Drug of Celebrity

Ali MacGraw has lived the sort of life that usually seems confined to airport novels — a Wellesley grad who spent the ’60s doing grunt work for legendary Vogue editor Diana Vreeland, she became a fashion icon herself after starring in hits like Goodbye Columbus (1969) and Love Story (1970). Her passionate relationships, and eventual marriages, with Paramount chief Robert Evans and alpha-male Steve McQueen were the stuff of international headlines. She dried out at Betty Ford. And then she went to Santa Fe but remained active as an advocate for yoga and animal rights.

Pass (on) the Salt: 12-21 DVD Roundup

With Christmas right around the corner, time is running out to find some stocking stuffers for the skinema fan on your list. Luckily, Mr. Skin has made it easy for you by rounding up the best of this week’s crop of DVDs and Blu-rays for holiday T&A, including Angelina Jolie in Salt and a fully frontal Tilda Swinton in the Blu-ray release of the arthouse flick Orlando . Salt T&A-lister and recent Golden Globe nominee Angelina Jolie doesn’t show us her salt shakers in the spy thriller Salt , but in the opening scene we see Angelina in her bra and panties as she’s being interrogated in a jail cell. If that doesn’t do it for you, you might want to check out Angelina’s naked appearances in Original Sin , Taking Lives , and the skinstant classic Gia , where she goes lesbo with Elizabeth Mitchell . Have a holly Jolie Christmas! Wall Street / Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps Out in a DVD two-pack, it’s this year’s high-stakes financial drama Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps paired with the 1987 original Wall Street . Costars Carey Mulligan and Susan Sarandon are the actresses who never strip in Money Never Sleeps , so check the first film to see Suzen Murakoshi bare boobs, butt, and bush at the 13-minute mark. Now that’s a good skinvestment! Orlando Nude on Blu-ray, Tilda Swinton stars in the Virginia Woolf adaptation Orlando , the story of an Elizabethen nobleman who is ordered by the Queen to stay forever young who turns into hot babe a few centuries later. The transformation is complete at the 56-minute mark when Tilda goes fully frontal looking into a mirror. Nice skinton, Ms. Swinton! The Matador Also nude on Blu-ray, Pierce Brosnan stars as a drunken, anxiety-ridden hit man who has to enlist the help of mild-mannered Greg Kinnear to pull off his last job in the 2005 arthouse hit The Matador . Mamtastic Mexican mamasita Azucena Medina puts the T&A in The Ma-TA-dor when she bares her butt one minute in and then goes topless on a strip club stage at the 17-minute mark. Ole !

‘Family Guy’ Exclusive: Nine Minutes Of ‘Star Wars’ Parody ‘It’s A Trap!’

‘It’s definitely the most visually stunning of all of the ones we’ve done,’ creator Seth MacFarlane tells MTV News. By Eric Ditzian Brian, Peter and Lois Griffin in “Family Guy: It’s A Trap!” Photo: Fox Back at San Diego Comic-Con this summer, “Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane showed off a first-look at “It’s a Trap!,” the final installment in the animated series’ parodies of the “Star Wars” franchise. But unless you were lucky enough to be sitting in those hallowed, geek-filled halls, you’ve barely seen anything from the hour-long episode, which tweaks “Return of the Jedi” to hilarious effect. That’s why MTV News is happy to present nine minutes from “It’s a Trap,” which hits DVD and Blu-ray Tuesday. “It’s more of exactly the same kind of jokes you’ve seen in the other two,” MacFarlane deadpanned in a Comic-Con chat with us. “So if you like those, this is the same and you’ll enjoy it just as much.” That’s just a bit of an understatement, but it’s also true: The third episode is no letdown from the first two. Once again, young Chris Griffin plays Luke Skywalker. He’s joined by Peter as Han Solo, Lois as Princess Leia, Brian as Chewbacca, Stewie as Darth Vader and all manner of other “Family Guy” characters in various roles. (Paraplegic Joe as Jabba the Hut? Well played!) “It’s a Trap!” begins exactly as the episodes that preceded it, with a LOL-tastic take on the “Star Wars” franchise’s iconic opening crawl: “Luke Skywalker has returned to his home planet of Tatooine in order to — okay, you know what, we don’t care. We were thinking of not even doing this one. Fox made us do it … I’m sorry. I took a muscle relaxer earlier and it’s kicking in.” From there it’s off to the Death Star. We see Solo getting a fart-filled release from his carbonite prison, Meg Griffin as the multi-tentacled sarlacc beast, a Stormtrooper bicycle chase, and appearances from “American Dad!” characters Roger the alien and Klaus the fish in “Jedi” character. Random cameos include Pee-wee Herman, Ted Knight ripped from “Caddyshack” footage and the boogie-woogie piano stylings of Ray Charles. The whole production has never looked better. As MacFarlane explained, “It’s definitely the most visually stunning of all of the ones we’ve done.” Just don’t expect the “Family Guy” guys to attack the three newest “Star Wars” flicks. Says MacFarlane, “I would rather chew broken glass.” What did you think of the “It’s a Trap!” teaser? Let us know in the comments! Related Videos Exclusive ‘Family Guy: It’s A Trap!’ Preview Clips

New in Theaters: No "T" in TRON: Legacy

With big-budget kids’ movies like Yogi Bear and TRON: Legacy and the skinless romantic comedy How Do You Know? dominating theaters this pre-holiday weekend, it’s a perfect time to stay home with your DVD player and check out the stars in some of their less constrictive roles. Uploading into theaters this weekend, Olivia Wilde costars in Disney’s special effects extravaganza TRON: Legacy . Olivia Wilde doesn’t take off her glowing outfit in TRON:, so if you want to see her nude, skip the crowds this weekend and stay home with a DVD of the 2006 skinstant classic Alpha Dog , where Ms. Wilde shows off her eye-popping rackage an hour and 45 minutes in. That will put a light cycle in your pants. Also in theaters this weekend, it’s the new romantic comedy How Do You Know? for all the moviegoers who are too old for TRON. Unfortunately, it may not have the same special effects as those TRON , but it has the same amount of nudity—none. The movie stars Paul Rudd , Owen Wilson , and Reese Witherspoon in a story about a love triangle that will quickly lose the interest of anyone looking to see Reese’s witherpoon. So go pick up the 1998 vampire-free crime flick Twilight where just two minutes in, Reese’s pieces are on full display as she toplessly bangs her boyfriend in bed, and then again a minute later. How do you know when it’s a good movie? Check your pants!

‘Yogi Bear’: The Reviews Are In!

Is the 3-D cartoon just for kids and woodland creatures? The critics have differing opinions. By Eric Ditzian Boo Boo (voiced by Justin Timberlake) in “Yogi Bear” In 2010, we have seen standout animated fare like “Toy Story 3” and “How to Train Your Dragon” dominate the box office. Now the year greets its final CGI-assisted children’s tale in “Yogi Bear.” The adaptation of Hanna-Barbera’s classic cartoon about picnic-basket-obsessed talking bears won’t come close to the opening grosses of those earlier Pixar and DreamWorks films. Nor has “Yogi Bear” garnered its predecessors’ rave reviews. Yet Warner Bros.’ “Yogi,” coming weeks after “Tangled” and at the same time as the rather intense PG-rated “Tron: Legacy,” could end up faring better than its rather tepid B.O. tracking predicts. Is “Yogi Bear” the right pick for you this weekend? Find out what the critics are saying and then plan accordingly. The Story “The film’s plot has Yogi [Dan Aykroyd] and Boo Boo [ Justin Timberlake ] helping Ranger Smith (Tom Cavanagh) defend Jellystone from a rapacious mayor (the funny Andrew Daly), who wants to sell off the park’s logging rights to bail out the city budget. The ranger doesn’t want to hear about Yogi’s schemes, of course. He just wants Yogi to act like a bear — rather than water-ski, steal vending machines and build a contrabulous fabtraption of a flying machine for high-tech picnic-grabbing. (The Baskit Nabber 2000, as it’s called, has no seat belts, and its safety information card is just a hand-drawn picture of passengers screaming.)” — Dan Kois, The Washington Post The Comparison to the Cartoon “Those of us who grew up on Yogi Bear cartoons can breathe easy: In his new movie — featuring a 3-D computer-animated Yogi (voiced by Dan Aykroyd) and Boo Boo (voiced by Justin Timberlake) alongside live action actors — our beloved pic-a-nic thief isn’t asked to whore himself by rapping, farting, or dropping pop culture references the way some of his animated brethren have in recent years. … There’s nothing particularly inventive in the plot or grade-school humor, but the movie skates by on the timeless, undemanding charm of watching a tie-wearing bear try to steal people’s lunches.” — Adam Markovitz, Entertainment Weekly The Dissenters “Neither smarter nor dumber than the average family-friendly comedy, ‘Yogi Bear’ is a bland and innocuous small-fry outing that retains a measure of the original Hanna-Barbera cartoon’s charm, though scarcely enough to justify the time, expense and visual-effects trickery it must have taken to inflate an endearing 2D cartoon into a dopey 3D extravaganza. Still, as Fox’s ‘Alvin and the Chipmunks’ pics made abundantly clear, there’s a sizable audience for incongruous pairings of live-action humans and patently computer-generated critters, suggesting a steady stream of guests at Warners’ picnic table through the holidays, and heavy minivan DVD-player rotation.” — Justin Chang, Variety The Dissenters, Part II “The director, Eric Brevig (‘Journey to the Center of the Earth’), probably did everything he could with the simple-minded screenplay, the dumb jokes, and the general tedium. Studio heads probably instructed him to overdo the 3D gimmicks, too. Who knows, maybe they even told him to prevent Anna Faris from being funny, which I wouldn’t have thought was possible. In a way, though, the film is faithful to the old cartoons, in that it’s grating and tiresome and not suitable for anyone over the age of 4. The animation is better, though.” — Eric D. Snider, Cinematical The Bottom Line “This is a cute movie, a kid’s movie, and a rather good one. The computer-generated bears are adorable — it’s come to this: Computer creations can be adorable — and the movie packs a lot of amusing incidents into a nice, trim 79-minute package. … For single adults, there’s no reason to see it, unless you’re a Yogi Bear completist. But adults with children, who are used to getting bored out of their skulls with children’s fare, may find in this a refreshing and politically charged change of pace.” — Mick LaSalle, San Francisco Chronicle Check out everything we’ve got on “Tron: Legacy.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .

‘Step Up 3D’ Director Jon Chu Recalls Cast’s Tribute To Michael Jackson

‘We all danced to Michael on the dance floor,’ director says of King of Pop, who died while film was being shot. By Jocelyn Vena Michael Jackson Photo: GAB Archive/ Getty Images Jon Chu has become the go-to man for all things dance. And with the DVD for “Step Up 3D” hitting the streets on Tuesday, Chu is opening up about what it was like to direct the flick. He reveals that when Michael Jackson, who had such a major influence on modern dance, died during the making of the film, Chu and the cast and crew felt they had to pay homage to the King of Pop. “I remember particularly the House of Red Hook [scene] just because [we shot it] the day after Michael Jackson passed away and Michael had a huge impact on every single dancer,” he told MTV News. “I would say literally 99.9 percent of our dancers would say Michael is the #1 influence in their life and he passed [while] we were shooting and everyone was so upset. “Literally it shook us all, and the next day we were gonna go shoot the Battle at Red Hook. And so we got there and it was like there was an energy that was very stale and weird and nobody knew how to act,” he continued. “And so we just started playing Michael, first thing in the morning for like 15 minutes. We all danced to Michael on the dance floor. It was one of those beautiful moments.” While fans relive all the fun of the film in the comfort of their living rooms, Chu reminds them to check out the extras on the DVD. “The stuff that we really shot behind-the-scenes, in a way it’s a real documentary about the dancers in our movie,” he said. “We tried to squeeze as much as we could in the movie, but of course there’s only so much you can get in, so for the DVD, you get to see it all and you get to really know the dancers.” Wade Robson should take note. Variety reported on Friday (December 17) that the choreographer will direct the fourth installment in the franchise, with Chu on-board to executive produce the Miami-set flick. The film will shoot in 3-D next summer. Check out everything we’ve got on “Step Up 3D.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com . Alyssa Milano And Her Sexy Elbows

Ever since I was a young man I’ve been in love with Alyssa Milano , I can’t believe my little Samantha is all grown up, so I was always going to post these pictures of her at some DVD launch. I’m probably the only one still interested in this broad, but I don’t care, we’ve been together for a long time. I can still remember her and her dad driving up i their beat up blue van. Besides, she’s still pretty hot and she’s showing off some shoulders and elbows so why not. Enjoy.

Colossal "rape mine" where more than 300,000 women and girls have been brutalised

Hundreds of women and children were raped over and over during 3 days in July, another incident reported in August… estimates indicate many thousands of women and girls are brutalized each year on a gross scale …for the creature comforts of civilized society. Efforts to combat illicit mining of coltan and other minerals are gaining traction, as politicians in Canada and other Western governments look to establish tough penalties against the practice. When we glance at the holocaust in Congo, with about 7 million dead, the clich
