Chris Evans’ ‘Captain America’ Suit Was ‘Not Comfortable’

‘First Avenger’ star will talk iconic costumes and more tonight on ‘MTV First’ at 7:56 p.m. ET on MTV and MTV.com. MTV News is proud to present another exclusive “MTV First,” with none other than the Cap himself, Chris Evans, as our special guest. At 7:56 p.m. ET, tune into MTV and MTV.com, where Evans will be on hand to present a new clip from the movie, and then stick around for a 20-minute Q&A on MTV.com, streaming immediately afterward. We’ll be discussing all things Cap and answering the questions you submitted. Among a wide range of topics, we’ll talk to Evans about what it was like to put on those iconic Captain America costumes. And just to give you a little preview of what’s in store, we’ve got a snippet here, so read on (and click the embedded video). “I did not get to keep any of the costumes, unfortunately,” Evans told us. “Because a lot of times on films you have to go back to do re-shoots, and if they don’t have the suit available, we’re in trouble. And no, they were not comfortable,” he added. Regarding the evolution of Cap’s famous red-white-and-blue ensemble, Evans revealed that the next time we see him post- “Captain America: The First Avenger” — alongside a slew of fellow Marvel superheroes in “The Avengers” — he’ll be rocking a more modern suit. “In ‘The Avengers,’ the suit is much more slick, it’s modern. The First Avenger himself will present an exclusive clip on MTV and MTV.com next Thursday at 7:56 p.m By Terri Schwartz Chris Evans in “Captain America: The First Avenger” Photo: Paramount Pictures With the release of “Captain America: The First Avenger” only two weeks away, MTV News is excited to announce that star Chris Evans will be sitting down with our own Josh Horowitz to premiere an exclusive clip of the film and talk about the movie for the latest installment of “MTV First” next Thursday night. After the clip airs on MTV and MTV.com at 7:56 p.m. ET, Evans will stick around and chat for 30 minutes about the Marvel flick. Of course, we know you have plenty you’re dying to know about the comic book adaptation, so submit your questions on MTV.com or through Twitter, tweeting @MTVNews with the hashtag #AskChris. You can also upload a 20- to 30-second video with your questions for the “Captain America” star at Your.MTV.com . With “MTV First: Captain America” happening only a week before the film premieres, expect plenty of probing questions about how terrifying Hugo Weaving looked in his Red Skull make up and what it was like holding Captain America’s shield for the first time. He’s not pious, not condescending; he just wants to do the good thing. His morals are intact. I’m amazed that people like him exist. Jenelle Evans stars on Teen Mom 2 ( watch the trailer here ) this January. Typical for a cast member of the MTV show, she’s had run-ins with the law. More than a few, in fact. Her arrest two months ago for breaking and entering and marijuana possession was the latest in a series of crazy police reports involving Janelle. Teen Mom 2 star Janelle Evans is the mother of 16 month old Jace. She was arrested back in October of this year for breaking and entering, marijuana possession and paraphernalia possession. Not a good combo. The Oak Island, N.C., native was busted breaking into someone else’s place and was released on a $2,000 bond. She is expected in court January 10. In October 2008, Jenelle was arrested for sneaking through a bedroom window to see her then-boyfriend and father of her baby, Andrew Lewis. According to the police report, she “continued to refuse to leave even after her mother attempted to take her home.” Jenelle Evans was arrested. Luckily for her, Andrew’s mom dropped the charges provided that “[Jenelle] must not come to house uninvited and leave at reasonable hour.” In December 2007, Jenelle ran away from home and her mom, Barbara, freaked out and called the police after her daughter fled home on foot. According to the report, Jenelle “became upset after she confronted her about being impaired” and she “did not know where Jenelle was going.” She was found at then-boyfriend Andrew’s house. Then, just one month ago, Jenelle was committed to Brunswick Community Hospital involuntarily after experiencing some sort of meltdown. A report claims after an examination “she was found not to be a threat to herself or anyone else” and was released early the next morning. As for Jace’s dad, her ex-boyfriend, Andrew, dude was arrested in 2008 for committing a misdemeanor against her, for which he was convicted. He also was arrested for a DUI in August 2009, which was the same month their son, Jace, was born. Never an encouraging sign. Needless to say … expect some drama this season.

It was the namedropping heard ’round the Internet on Sunday night: Lost in the dizzying fury of his (first) anti-Japan tirade, Roger Sterling responded to the reminder that WWII was over with the bellowing rejoinder: “Why don’t we just bring Dr. Lyle Evans in here?” That suggestion didn’t make Bert Cooper very happy, baffled Pete, Don and Joanb, and sent a number of viewers straight to Google afterward wondering: “Who the hell is Dr. Lyle Evans, and why does he have these guys so upset?” Finally, it appears the Internet has revealed an answer.

Faith Evans Says She’s ‘Fine And Well’ After Arrest

Fantasia was ready to promote her album just weeks after her reported suicide attempt. And now Faith Evans says she’s resuming work on her new music video just days after her arrest on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving. The singer took to Twitter to thank fans for their well-wishes and assured them that a music video is still on the way. “Hi Faithfuls…I am on the set of my new video for my single “Gone Already”. I’m sure by now most of you heard that I was detained on suspicion of a DUI,” she tweeted on Monday (August 23). “After completing a full day of wardrobe prep I was stopped at a random checkpoint. I’m fine and well, and thank you for your prayers, kind words and concerns. I can’t wait for you all to see my new video & look forward to hearing from u guys…Fizzy,” she continued. On Saturday, Evans was pulled over at a checkpoint near Marina del Rey in Los Angeles and arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving where she was then taken into police custody at 10:40 p.m. According to The Associated Press, the singer’s car was impounded as she was held for a few hours before being released on bail the following morning. In addition to working on new music, the singer is reportedly filming her own reality show , titled “It’s All About Faith,” which will follow Evans as she makes her return to the music scene.
