‘I would want to have the time, the ability and the love for something,’ she tells MTV News of choosing roles. By Azia Celestino, with reporting by Kara Warner Taylor Swift Photo: MTV News Although pop/country superstar Taylor Swift has her hands full with a very successful music career — be it grabbing Grammys or working on a song for the “Hunger Games” soundtrack , don’t rule her out for a full-fledged crossover into acting. Swift recently went from recording songs to sound effects when she took on the role of Audrey in “The Lorax.” “What people don’t think about with character acting in the voice-over form [is] you’re making a lot of sounds,” Swift told MTV News recently about her experience in the latest Dr. Seuss movie, which also features the voices of Zac Efron, Betty White and Danny DeVito. “It’s very different from when you’re singing songs that you wrote. With this, you’re sitting there in a booth by yourself having conversations with no one.” The cast of the movie recorded their parts in different places, which made acting out dialogue even more of a challenge. But a part in “The Lorax” seems to be a premeditated change of pace for the pop star. “Acting is something I’ve been fascinated by my entire life,” she said. The singer said she has been reading scripts in her free time for the past five years but hasn’t been quick to accept a role. “I would want to have the time, the ability and the love for something, the love for a character to where I could really make that commitment to it.” Taylor is known for writing lyrics that reveal her feelings about love and heartbreak, and you can probably expect the same passion if she makes a move to the big screen. Already the parents of two beautiful daughters, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are now the proud mom and dad of a beautiful baby boy as well! Congratulations! The A-list couple, who got married back in 2005, have proven pretty skillfull at picking out pretty girl names, with Violet and Seraphina. The little boy’s name? Alas, mum’s the word on the little guy’s name for now. But he’s here ! Jen and Ben with Violet, 6, last fall. Seraphina is 3 . “It would be so weird to have a boy,” the actress told Ellen DeGeneres recently, but also said the experience would be absolutely “cool and different.” Affleck, in turn, said that the 3-against-1 female-to-male ratio in his house leaves him significantly outnumbered. Looks like he has a teammate at last! “He knows when to swoop in with the gesture. He’s sweet that way,” the actress says of her husband. “Honestly, I would do anything for that man.” “I always know that it’s not taken for granted.” Aww. Congrats again to the whole family! Ok guys, get your rotten tomatoes ready, because this is just ridiculous. After reportedly insisting that producers cut her topless scene from her new movie Wanderlust , Jennifer Aniston has been going on a media blitz to promote the film. “So what”, you say? Here’s what: she will not shut up about how great her nude scene was . in an interview with Entertainment Tonight Canada , Jennifer says that ” ‘Liberating’ is a good word to use ” to describe the experience of shooting her topless scene, which she says ” fit the spirit of the movie .” Not only that, but she went on Chelsea Lately last night for an interview that skewed heavily towards discussing the nude scene that reportedly isn’t even in the film , including this infuriating statement by Chelsea Handler : “I’ve been lucky enough to see you topless in our private life, but now America, when they go to see the movie, will get to see her topless running!” Jen went on to say of her naked male co-stars, ” Finally, for once, the men have to disrobe! Trust me, there is your fair share of breasticles as well …” Breasticles? BREASTICLES?? Commence fruit-flinging…now!
My name is Ale. I am 13 years old, and I would’ve never thought that I could write one of these one day. I am a HUGE fan of Justin’s, so when I heard that I was getting FRONT ROW tickets to his concert, I absolutely went wild. I couldn’t believe it. It was something that I knew probably wasn’t going to happen again, so I couldn’t stop thinking about it till the day of the concert. September 30th, 2011. The day that would change my life forever. I got to the concert that day, with enough energy to run around the world, and a smile that could not fade. I took my seat in front row, when it finally began to sink in. I was going to see Justin Bieber only a few feet away from me in a couple of hours. I waited a lot of long and exhausting hours, but after the concert started, my heart raced. Justin walked in front of me on stage a few times, and his face looked as flawless as I had ever seen it. He looked 100x more gorgeous in person, I swear. I was watching the concert, and suddenly I realized that Scooter Braun was standing RIGHT in front of me! It was amazing. It was a really weird feeling seeing him in person, but it was astounding. He was watching the concert, so I said hi to him, and of course he said hi back. I asked him many questions about Justin and about how he was liking my city. I even got to give Scooter a high-five! My mind was blown, but not until I saw Kenny coming in as well. He, as well as Scooter, was standing only a few inches away from my face. The feeling can never be explained, but it was incredible seeing them so close to me. I talked to Kenny and told him that I admired him a lot, and I got to ask him other questions as well. I even touched his hand! A while into the awesome concert, Justin started pointing out random fans in the crowd, like “You in the yellow shirts, hey,” and “Over there with the giant black posters, I see you.” At this point, I decided to lift up a big, heart-shaped pillow that I brought with me to the concert , that had a big “I LOVE YOU” in white letters. I lifted it up really high so that Justin could see it. I had some hopes that he would, but I knew that I was 1 in 10 million. He started walking toward my side of the stage as he pointed out 3 different people in the audience. I was jumping so much and stretching my arms so high that my body started to hurt. But it was all worthwhile, because out of nowhere, Justin saw me, looked directly into my eyes, pointed at me, waved his hand and told me, “LOVE YOU, TOO!” then turned away after saying that . The crowd went crazy, but not as crazy as I did. I entered into this weird state of shock that I’d never felt before. I zoned out, my heart raced as fast as it ever had, and my nose stopped letting air in. Tears could not stop streaming out of my face. I cried horribly and made very loud noises as I cried. It was the most amazing feeling that I had ever felt in my life. I had this adrenaline inside me that I had to let out. I screamed, jumped, did everything I could to let that energy out. I was the luckiest girl on the planet at that moment. Justin Bieber had just told me he loved me! It is just a feeling that you can’t explain no matter what. I felt so relieved and special because I knew that for one moment, for that one small moment, Justin had looked at me and had thought of me. We made direct eye contact! It was an experience that I will definitely NEVER forget. Ever. To top the night off, I saw Pattie walking in front of me for a few seconds, looking as beautiful as ever. Unbelievable! I had always said to my friends and family to never say never and to never give up, and look where it got me. Look at the situation that I was put in. All because of staying positive and believing in myself for many years. A HUGE thanks to Justin for changing my life forever, I love you so much. Read more from the original source: My name is Ale. Surely no one saw this coming: Uggie, the Jack Russell terrier and Artist wonder dog on whose behalf the Consider Uggie awards campaign has surged ever onward for nearly three months now , won the top prize Monday at the inaugural Golden Collar Awards. That’s really all I have to say about that, deferring instead to Uggie’s trainer Omar Von Muller, who put the purpose of the whole phenomenon in perspective while accepting the trophy with his winning pooch: Von Muller said the award was “overwhelming” adding: “He has been my buddy forever and is a great performer and great family member.” He also thanked award organizers DogNewsDaily.com saying: “This is very important for all the trainers in the movie industry, because we have never been recognized before, and people just don’t understand that it takes hundreds and even thousands of hours to train a dog.” Exactly . Respect! [ BBC ; photo via WireImage]
Because one good Lynchian turn deserves another: “I found myself intensifying the experience of Jeffrey’s scenes with Dorothy with a kind of conceptual narcotic inhaler: it involved, ahem, imagining Isabella Rossellini was her mother and that Kyle MacLachlan was actually playing this love scene with Ingrid Bergman. And it is very easy to do – not merely because Rossellini looks and sounds so much like Bergman, but because of the film’s intense noir atmosphere. Perhaps I need therapy. But there is something in the infectious and mesmeric weirdness of David Lynch which makes it feel all right.” [ The Guardian ]
The current Twitter trend ” RIP Eddie Murphy ” has gripped the unwashed microblogging masses with equal parts earnest apoplexy (“Idiots on twitter, why would anyone want to trend something like that”) and predictable cheap-shottery (“Hey Eddie: ‘RIP Eddie Murphy’ is God trying to tell you something about your career.”) — not that unlike the last time Murphy “died” on Twitter . The most we can take away from this experience? ‘I just kind of dragged her in at the last minute,’ Madge explains to MTV News of her daughter’s short-lived role.
