Justin Bieber Promises ‘Sick Dance Moves’ In New Video

‘I think you guys are gonna like it,’ he says of ‘Somebody to Love’ clip. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber Photo: MTV News Justin Bieber recently shot his latest music video for “Somebody to Love,” the latest single off his album My World 2.0. And while details about the video shoot are scarce, Bieber did take to his Twitter account to let his fans know that he’s really stepping up his dance game for the new clip. “Secret music vid and rehearsals for ‘SOMEBODY TO LOVE’ with some sick dance crews. Fun day … gonna go chill,” he wrote, adding in a previous tweet, “Now rehearsals for the ‘SOMEBODY TO LOVE’ video. we got a lot of surprises for this one … it is a lot of work. gonna be crazy.” He also teased his fans letting them know they were going to love the video, which he shot with director Dave Meyers (Britney Spears, Jay-Z, Avril Lavigne, Pink). “Shot a music vid today for a new song … details coming in the next couple weeks,” he wrote. “I think you guys are gonna like it.” The tune — not to be confused with Leighton Meester, Queen or Jefferson Airplane songs of the same name — is a dance track in which he professes his love for a girl and tells her he’d do anything for her. “It’s basically about somebody to love,” he laughed. “It’s cool. It’s young. It’s nice. I think it’s like a universal record.” And with several adorable girls already starring in his videos, when Megan Fox was suggested , he said, “That would be great. That would be awesome, but I don’t know if that would be possible. … I don’t know yet.” What do you think will happen in the new Justin Bieber video? Tell us in the comments below! Gudda Gudda Recalls Getting ‘Willy Wonka’ From Lil Wayne

‘Right before [Weezy] went to jail, he was like, ‘Man, you can have that,’ ‘ Young Money member tells Mixtape Daily. By Shaheem Reid Gudda Gudda and Lil Wayne Photo: Young Money/Cash Money Breaking Through: Gudda Gudda Young Money’s Gudda Gudda has a new video on the way for “Willy Wonka,” but he has no idea what the clip will look like. “We shot a green-screen video,” Gudda told Mixtape Daily about the production, which was shot before co-star Lil Wayne went to prison . “It was almost like how [Young Money’s] ‘Roger That’ was. I don’t know what they’re doing to it. I’m kinda lost. “It wasn’t my video at first,” Gudda continued. “All I know is that we shot green screen. I don’t know if I’mma need to shoot more scenes on it. I didn’t see the final cut. If I don’t like the way it is, I’m gonna pay for somebody to shoot more scenes for me and make it right.” “Willy Wonka” was originally slated to be on Weezy’s upcoming Tha Carter IV, but the YM founder passed it on to his good friend. “[DJ] Ill Will sent me the beat,” Gudda recalled. “He didn’t do nothing on the night I played it for him. I laid my verse on it that night. He came back the next day, the engineer pulled it up like, ‘Look what Gudda did to the beat.’ By the time I came back to the studio, [Wayne] had already laid his verse on it. The song was done. “I didn’t know what he was using it for. Ill Will sent it to me for my mixtape. I already figured Wayne might want it. I was like, ‘If he wants it for his album, we gotta give it to him.’ So basically, he wanted it at first. We shot the video for it. And right before [Weezy] went to jail, he was like, ‘Man, you can have that sh–. Go ‘head, man, get you. Put that sh– out and go stupid with it. Take the song, take everything.’ He gave me all that sh– right before he went to jail.” Gudda said he communicates with Wayne frequently. “I talk to him a few times a week,” Gudda said. “He’s doing real good, on some real sh–. He’s in there being positive, reading all his fan mail. He’s trying to stay busy. He’s got a job in there. He’s good.” Weezy also appears on Gudda’s Back to Guddaville mixtape, dropping soon. The New Orleans MC opened up about the warm reception for his last street album. “When I put that Guddaville out [a few months ago], I ain’t never get a response like that since I been doing music,” he said. “It felt good, I was real humble. It makes wanna go in the studio ASAP. I started working on Back to Guddaville. I didn’t wanna leave that space. “This one is all originals,” he added. “I have nothing on nobody else’s track. All of it is originals. Of course, y’all gonna hear the ‘Willy Wonka’ joint with me and Wayne [and] ‘Small Thing to a Giant’ with me and Wayne. I got a joint called ‘Polo’; it’s crazy. I got a joint called ‘Lock My CEO Up’ featuring Waka Flocka [Flame]. That’s gonna be one of the hardest songs this year. I promise. I put things about Wayne in my verse. Waka put things about Gucci [Mane] in his verse.” As a bonus for the song, Gudda said he’ll feature the recording of an actual phone conversation between himself and Wayne from Rikers Island , where he’s been since April, as well as a phone call that captures Gucci calling Waka from prison. Jay Rock, Juelz Santana and various members of the Young Money squad will also cameo on the new mixtape. Gudda said he’s excited about his sequel and grateful about the momentum that the original Guddaville tape has sparked for him. He performs material from the tape at shows, several times a week. “It feels good,” Gudda said of his growing fanbase. “I been patient for a long time. People know I been with Wayne for a minute. Me and him been through a lot. It feels good to know that I been patient and I’m getting my just due. I ain’t all the way there yet, but I’m making some money. I’m making a lot more money than other n—as. [Fans] hit me and tell me they … sorry. They say, ‘I’m sorry my n—a. I ain’t know you was that nice. I take it back.’ ” For other artists featured in Mixtape Daily, check out Mixtape Daily Headlines or follow the Mixtape Daily team on Twitter: @shaheemreid and @mongosladenyc .

Christina Aguilera Was ‘In Control’ Of ‘Not Myself Tonight’ Video

‘I’m a very sexual person. It’s important to me that that always comes across,’ she says. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Matt Elias Christina Aguilera Photo: MTV News Christina Aguilera has veered toward the provocative when it comes to her image. Whether dolled up like a prostitute in 2001’s group track “Lady Marmalade” or clad in chaps in the boxing ring for her “Dirrty” video, Aguilera certainly isn’t afraid of sexy. So when fans got a glimpse of the very, very sexy Christina in “Not Myself Tonight,” they weren’t surprised to see the singer dressed up in S&M gear, getting it on with ladies and gentlemen alike. But Aguilera didn’t make the racy clip for attention, she insisted. The video was meant to reflect the song, which is about losing yourself and doing things you normally wouldn’t. “It wasn’t a prove-a-point type of song for me. It was an ultimate need-to-release song for me,” she told MTV News, adding that being a mom to son Max doesn’t mean she can’t be sexy. “What I do artistically in expressing myself has nothing to do with being a mother,” she said. “Those are two very different hats for me, and my little son, he will grow up in a household that is very artistic. That will be very much a part of his life, and appreciating a woman’s beauty and the fact that a woman is allowed to express herself in a sensual way, a sexual way, and not have to be ashamed of it.” The singer was quick to make it clear that no matter how sensual the visuals appear, she’s always in the driver’s seat. “I make sure every time I express myself in that way, it’s in a very controlled environment, that I am in control of the environment,” she said. “And I’m very comfortable. It’s such an important message to me, because I feel there are so many rules and regulations, especially for women,” Aguilera continued. “Men are sort of allowed to be whatever they’re wanting to be. You’re allowed to be these free beings, and I feel that women should have the same rights. I’m a very sexual person. It’s very important to me that that always comes across [and to] always stay inspired by the non-mainstream things.” Do you think Christina’s latest video is too sexy? Let us know in the comments! Miley Cyrus Shares ‘Credit’ For ‘Can’t Be Tamed’ Video

‘Amazing’ director and choreographer helped come up with concept, Cyrus tells MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by James Lacsina Photo: MTV News Miley Cyrus might have taken some major strides toward her post-Disney career with the sexed-up video for “Can’t Be Tamed,” but the singer didn’t do it alone. When it came time to create a concept for the slick clip — for the title song from her upcoming June album — her director and choreographer helped the star get creative. “I worked with Robert Hales, who is an amazing director,” she raved to MTV News about Hales, who has also worked with Demi Lovato, the Jonas Brothers and Justin Timberlake. “And again, I didn’t look at any of his work he’s done previously. I don’t even know really what he’s done previously.” Instead, the two focused on what they could do now that Cyrus is beginning to plot out life after “Hannah Montana.” “I just know that when we talked and what I said, he got excited and envisioned it the way I did,” Cyrus said. “And that’s what I wanted. I wanted someone that would get excited about it, and he was. So it was awesome. My choreographer, Jamal [Sims], also helped me come up with the concept. … I definitely am not going to take full credit.” The result of her collaboration is a clip that, according to Miley , can’t be compared to previous music videos. “I made a big point to everyone that I didn’t want anyone else to watch a music video and show me and say, ‘This is what I think we should do,’ ” she said. “I don’t think it looks like any other music video. I think if we would have looked at another music video or listened to another song or looked at a different artist, it could have easily [been influenced].” What do you think of Miley’s moves in the “Can’t Be Tamed” video? Ke$ha On ‘Saturday Night Live’ Backlash: ‘I Don’t Care’

‘I had a fun time. I played laser beams,’ she says of her divisive performance. By James Montgomery Ke$ha on “Saturday Night Live” Photo: NBC EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey — Ke$ha’s recent performance on “Saturday Night Live” was divisive, to put it mildly. Some saw her two-song set — which featured laser beams, body paint, spoken-word interludes, dancing astronauts, fireworks and an American-flag cape — as an attempt at “artistic expression” gone awry, while others praised her efforts, calling the performance “spirited” and writing pieces in her “defen$e.” Either way, it didn’t really matter to Ke$ha. As she told MTV News on Saturday at the Bamboozle festival, she’s not listening to anything anyone has to say about her these days. “If you don’t like dancing astronauts, laser beams that play music, me talking about aliens, glow-in the dark things, vocoders and a hot chick, I don’t know what to tell you,” she laughed. “My new theory is … I don’t really listen or look at anything. But I have heard through the grapevine that some people thought it sucked and some people thought it was great. [I] don’t care. I had a fun time. I played laser beams.” She did, indeed. If anything, Ke$ha didn’t think the backlash from her “SNL” appearance had anything to do with, you know, her actual performances as it did with the fact that she refuses to be categorized. In an increasingly segmented industry, she proudly — almost defiantly — sticks out like a sore thumb. A sore thumb with laser beams, of course. “I don’t use Auto-Tune. I come from a country-music-writing family, a punk-rock loving brother who gave me his records, and in a society where everything is supposed to be perfect — down to what I wear, what I look like, my body, my voice, my outfits — I’m not perfect, and I embrace it,” she said. “And I think that’s what a lot of people are finding not being up to par to, like, the standard that other people have set, but I’m just being real. And I think what I’m doing is good.” What did you think of Ke$ha’s “SNL” performance? Let us know in the comments! Related Videos MTV News Extended Play: Ke$ha Related Artists Ke$ha

Usher, Drake And Nicki Minaj To Play New York’s Summer Jam

Ludacris, Trey Songz and a now-incarcerated Gucci Mane also on the lineup for Hot 97 concert. By Shaheem Reid Usher Photo: Mike Coppola/FilmMagic New York radio station Hot 97 announced the lineup for the annual mega show Summer Jam on Monday afternoon (May 3). The event takes place June 6 at the new Meadowlands Stadium, with Usher headlining a lineup that includes Drake, Nicki Minaj, DJ Khaled and Ludacris. Trey Songz, Juelz Santana, Fabolous and Reflection Eternal fill out the roster, with Gucci Mane — who is due to be released from jail soon — rounding out the bill. New York’s Summer Jam Lineup For headliner Usher, the top spot at the show is another feather in his cap for what is proving to be a stellar year, which has already included a #1 album . “This album means so much to my career,” Usher recently said told MTV News about Raymond v. Raymond. “I think this is the one time where I’m able to put it all in, emotionally and the good times — super-freaky and then also super-emotional. Raymond v. Raymond, artistically, is one of my greatest pieces of work, not only just because of the content, but also the people whom I got involved in it: T.I., Will.I.Am, Puff, Nicki Minaj.” The album also features “She Don’t Know,” a track with Ludacris, who collaborated on one of Usher’s biggest hits, 2004’s “Yeah!” And the video for the Will I. Am. collaboration “OMG” recently hit the Internet. The clip is all performance as Usher brings his dance moves to the forefront. “A lot of people may have felt like I lost my swagger,” Usher said. “Let me tell you something: I play long-balls, so now we back. This one is it: Raymond v. Raymond !” As always, you can expect some of the performers to bring out surprise guests — it’s a Summer Jam tradition. Some of the biggest names in the game have come out unadvertised for the concert. Just last year, Jay-Z set off his Blueprint 3 campaign by performing “D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)” as a special guest of Young Jeezy’s. In 2001, it was Jay-Z pulling a trump card, bringing out Michael Jackson . What surprise guests do you want to see pop up at Summer Jam? Guru Memorial Concert Should Involve DJ Premier, Solar Says

‘It couldn’t be [a tribute] without them,’ he tells MTV News, despite tensions between the two. By Jayson Rodriguez, with reporting by Sway Calloway Solar Photo: MTV News Although tensions between Solar and DJ Premier remain high, the controversial producer said he would like to reach out to the Gang Starr member to join him for a memorial concert he’s planning for Guru later this year. “Not only Premier, but the whole Gang Starr Foundation — everybody, for sure,” Solar told MTV News. “It couldn’t be [a tribute] without them. Plus, the list of artists Guru and I have already compiled that would go with it, that would be brilliant.” Solar said he and Guru had long planned to host an event, whether he recovered from his health issues or not. Since the Gang Starr rapper died last week , though, Solar has been vilified by fans for releasing a farewell letter purportedly written by Guru. In the controversial message, Guru assailed Premier and only referred to his groupmate as his “former DJ.” Solar denied claims that he wrote the letter, but Premier remains skeptical . Premier released his own statement following Guru’s death, a touching memorial to his friend. During a radio “salute” to his fallen Gang Starr cohort, Premier repeatedly disparaged Solar, writing him off as a jealous opportunist. Solar, for his part, stands by Guru’s authorship of the letter, yet he distanced himself from the remarks and said he now has to make the best decisions for the current situation. “At the end of the day, Guru’s statement is Guru’s statement, and that’s Guru,” he said. “I’m my own man, just like he was his own man. I have to make decisions as life goes on that’s beneficial to all involved. I haven’t had a chance to sit down with DJ Premier. Hopefully now will be the time, in the near future, even on this particular matter, and speak on things. It’s my intention that everybody understand I foster the concepts of peace and harmony. And I believe as time goes on and feelings settle that this will happen. And willfully, this benefit concert will be one way of speeding that along.” Share your memories of Guru and Gang Starr in the comments below. Solar Hints At Guru’s ‘Frustration’ With Gang Starr’s DJ Premier

‘Certain aspects of Gang Starr and that relationship seemed to keep hanging on to him,’ Solar tells MTV News. By Jayson Rodriguez, with reporting by Sway Calloway Gang Starr’s Guru and DJ Premier Photo: Gregg Delman/ MTV.com The last album Guru and DJ Premier released as Gang Starr was 2003’s The Ownerz, and the rapper began recording with a new producer named Solar. As the years wore on, whispers of tension between Guru and Primo grew louder until they were reportedly fully estranged from each other, both musically and as friends. Premier, for his part, had kept mostly quiet about any conflict between himself and his former groupmate, who died at age 43 last week. Solar, however, told MTV News that Guru might have felt frustrated by the public overlooking his contributions to Gang Starr, one of hip-hop’s most revered acts. Solar said he doesn’t want to sound critical of Premier, though, because he hasn’t spoken to the DJ in years and never knew his take on things between the pair. “I haven’t spoken to Premier, all the way back since they finished The Ownerz, ” Solar told MTV News. “We haven’t spoken. He hasn’t reached out to me, and I haven’t had the opportunity to reach out to him. What it’s been, more or less, with Guru, there’s been a lot of frustration on his part for various reasons once 7 Grand [Records] was started, it became … I don’t know, just certain aspects of Gang Starr and that relationship seemed to keep hanging on to him, and he felt it was dragging him down or holding him from getting to where he wanted to get, and it was influences that he felt around the industry was contributing to that. And I know that was a source a frustration for him and a source of frustration for myself. I felt the tension too.” Solar added that he didn’t want to be in the middle of any conflict between the longtime collaborators, during Guru’s life or now in his death. He emphasized that although he was privy to Guru’s feelings on the matter, it would be unfair for him to take the rapper’s opinions as fact since he hasn’t spoke to Premier. Solar did reveal that Guru was “definitely going through a crisis and having some trouble.” “Guru was frustrated, he really was,” Solar said. “And I think anybody around him at that time, Premier and all his people around him, might have saw the frustration around him. [Guru] was drinking, there was a lot of things going on with him that you could see, from anybody.” In the meantime, Solar is in the early stages of planning a memorial concert for Guru, which is tentatively slated for the summer. He said he’d like Premier and all the members of the original Gang Starr Foundation involved in the process. It remains unclear if Premier would be open to such a tribute. During his radio show on Sirius/XM last week, Premier disparaged Solar numerous times on air, criticizing his handling of Guru’s condition and refusing to acknowledge the producer by name. Premier issued a statement after Guru’s passing and didn’t directly address Guru’s controversial farewell letter , in which he allegedly had sour thoughts about his former DJ. ‘The City’ Star Whitney Port Teases New Love Interest

Port and photographer ‘kind of just hit it off,’ she tells MTV News of season-three romance. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Christina Garibaldi Whitney Port In the trailer for the new season of “The City,” which is set to kick off Tuesday (April 27), Whitney Port seems to have found herself a new guy. When MTV News recently caught up with Whitney, we asked her to dish on her potential season-three love interest. It turns out the pair met at a photo shoot for the “City” star’s clothing line. While Port wouldn’t say how serious the relationship gets, it was a good time, she said. “Jonathan was the photographer for the shoot, and he’s actually a war photographer,” she told MTV News. “So this was very different for him to be shooting little dresses. But we kind of just hit it off. … He asked if I wanted to get a drink, and we got a drink, and he took me on a motorcycle ride.” Whitney’s penchant for motorcycle rides will be familiar to fans who watched her romance with then-BF Jay. But they’ll have to tune in, Port said, to see if the new couple manage to take their relationship to the next level. “We had a good time,” she admitted. “We’ve enjoyed hanging out, and I guess we’ll just have to see how it plays out.” After having some past bad relationships play out onscreen, Port said she was feeling reluctant to date on TV. This time around, only her more casual relationships will make it to air. “I don’t think I’ll ever show a whole relationship again,” she said. “I think that was too emotionally taxing, but dating and meeting people is harmless.” What do you think of Whitney’s taste in guys? New drama, new fights. You know, we go on vacation; we go to Miami and film there. So there’s a lot of great new footage I can’t wait to see.” Does an Audrina/Kristin friendship mean we’ve seen the last of her on-again, off-again relationship with Justin Bobby ? “You know, Justin’s not on the season too much,” she shared. “He is on it, and there are a few run-ins, and you’ll have to see what happens. But no, I’m not getting back with him.” Now that Justin’s out of the picture, Audrina has a chance to show off her new beau, singer/songwriter Ryan Cabrera. “[Ryan’s] my love interest this season, and he’s been filming with me on the show, and it’s been really fun, because he’s one of my best friends,” she said. ” I don’t know how we started dating, but it’s been so much fun.” On Tuesday in New York City, as fans prepared themselves for the season premiere of “The Hills,” Patridge gave her review of the season opener. “Actually, I just watched the first episode yesterday.
