Alright, alright, alriiiiight! Sony Hack Reveals Kevin Hart Made $2 Million To Tweet Guess it pays to be a “whore” after all. Via MailOnline : Kevin Hart has been asked where he stands with Sony after leaked emails showed that one studio executive labeled him a ‘whore’ for wanting more money to promote his film on social media. Hart was out in Los Angeles on Monday night when he was asked if her would work for the studio again, but refused to answer the questions. This as a possible new leaked email claims the actor was paid millions to promote two films on Twitter to his 14.8 million followers. An affable Hart politely declined to tell a TMZ reporter if he planned on working with Sony in the future, the studio that is releasing his next two films, The Wedding Ringer and Get Hard. ‘I don’t answer those questions,’ said Hart, who went on to say that he is ‘politically correct’ and ‘a happy guy.’ Meanwhile, in an email posted to BikiniRobotArmy, a Twitter account that has been posting leaked email exchanges, producer Clint Culpepper responds to an inquiry as to whether or not the actor might send out a tweet promoting the Denzel Washington film The Equalizer by saying, ‘Yep. He owes us. I also got him to tweet on NGD. We paid him an extra 2M to tweet on 2 pictures. Let me [see] what I can do. What would you have him tweet? A :15 spot saying check it out and I can’t wait to see this? Or “how excited am I to see Equalizer this weekend?”‘ NGD is likely a reference to the Idris Elba film No Good Deed, which Hart sent on a tweet promoting in early September. ‘Make sure yo go support my Brother @willpowerpacker this weekend by seeing “No Good Deed” …. @TherealTaraji & Idris kill this movie!’ wrote the actor on September 12. Interestingly enough, Culpepper is the same executive who called Hart a ‘whore’ after members of his team asked that he be compensated for promoting one of his upcoming film’s on social media. Like Kev said, “ know your self worth! ” Demand millions per tweet — receive millions per tweet.
Larry Flynt is going to take the cancelation of ‘The Interview’ lying down — in that he’s going to make a porn parody of the film to fight back against Kim Jong-un. It’s the American way!
Given the fact that he still has two books to finish in the acclaimed series that inspired Game of Thrones, fans of George R.R. Martin’s would probably prefer that he stay out of harm’s way. Unfortunately for them, Martin has made it clear that he doesn’t give a dragon’s deuce what his fans think, and he recently decided to involve himself in a high-stakes international pissing contest. As we imagine you’ve heard by now, the Seth Rogen-James Franco comedy The Interview was pulled from theaters this week following a series of terrorist threats from what’s believed to be a group of North Korean hackers. Several stars have expressed their frustration over the fact that the nation’s five largest theater chains backed away from the film, thus setting a dangerous precedent and essentially giving in to the demands of terrorists. But while most celebs are content to post outraged online tirades, Martin is putting his money where his mouth is and offering Rogen and company a chance to show their movie on the big screen. In a recent LiveJournal rant (dude is stubbornly old-school), GRRM blasted the “corporate cowardice” of the Regal, AMC, and others, and offered to screen the controversial flick at his own independent theater in New Mexico. “Come to Santa Fe, Seth, we’ll show your movie for you,” Martin writes. Obviously, Rogen’s gotta be less than thrilled with the fact that basically every theater dropped The Interview , making a small arthouse in Santa Fe his best option for reaching an audience, but c’mon…it’s not every day the man who created the Starks offers to make you the King in the South. Hopefully, Mr. Martin is aware of the price that’s already been paid by victims of the hacking scandal: 9 Things We Learned From the Sony Hacking Scandal 1. New Ghostbusters Cast Revealed! One email reveals that the studio is hoping to have Jennifer Lawrence, Melissa McCarthy, Emma Stone, and Lizzy Caplan star in the upoming all-female Ghostbusters reboot. Well, “all-female” isn’t quite accurate. The ladies will be joined by an A-list male star, who will apparently need to be dragged to the set kicking and screaming…
This hunter was sure that he had just killed a deer recently. He couldn’t be more wrong. It couldn’t be more funny. Deer Scares the Crap Out of Hunter When the above clip begins, the hunter believes the deer he had just shot at has been hit and killed, seeing its body laying motionless on the ground. He approaches with caution, but certain of success. Then all of a sudden, when he’s standing just a few feet away, the animal leaps into the air and bolts, taking off running full speed in the other direction. You need to see it for yourself to fully appreciate it. For more great animal moments, most of which don’t even involve an animal playing dead (but you never know!) … just scroll through the video gallery below: 35 Awesome Animal Videos 1. Penguins Continually Tumble Over Rope These penguins are trying really hard to walk over this rope. But, hilariously, none can do so.
Winter is coming…eventually. Until then, we’re forced to rely on whatever tiny morsels of information we get from the sadists at HBO, like a bunch Flea-Bottom peasants sharing a bowl of brown. But hey, it’s better than nothing, right? The first Game of Thrones season 5 trailer told us very, very little about what to expect, but the Internet ate it up anyway. So in that spirit, let round 2 of the wild speculation begin! Game of Thrones Season 5 Teaser #2 Let’s see; what do we have here? Well, aside from an aspect ration that might make you want to borrow your grandmother’s reading glasses, we have some painfully brief glimpses of what three of GoT’s main female characters are up to. (There’s a shot of Tyrion in there too, but it’s so quick that it’s practically subliminal.) Arya and Sansa Stark look bummed, as does Cersei Lannister, who appears to be locked up. That makes sense, as she was last seen declaring her love for her brother and threatening to take down her powerful family. The marketing for season 5 has focused on the three-eyed raven from Bran Stark’s visions, which seems strange, as sources indicate that Bran and Hodor won’t be in this season at all . Maybe the suits figured since they took all that time gluing a half-marble to a bird’s forehead they better take advantage of it. If you’re the greedy type, and that 16 seconds of nothing didn’t quite do it for you, you can watch Game of Thrones online at TV Fanatic. And because we know why you really watch, check out our gallery of Thrones’ hottest women below: 13 Hottest Women on Game of Thrones 13. Shae It’s not hard to see what Tyrion sees in Shae. She’s a lover in a world full of fighters…and she’s good at what she does.
The Bruce Jenner sex change rumors are back with a vengeance, thanks to a new tabloid report claiming that his transition into a woman is nearly complete. According to alleged insiders, he is ” trying out feminine fashions ” like painted nails and sports bras, plus an extra long ponytail … and may be growing breasts. You can’t make this stuff up. Actually you can, if you’re Star (see above, they may very well have made it up out of thin air), but you know what we mean. Asked by photographers recently if any of these Bruce Jenner sex change rumors going around have any merit to them, the Olympic great was mum. (Jenner also just attended the female-favorite Kinky Boots performance in L.A., a musical by Cyndi Lauper and Harvey Fierstein that’s all about drag queens.) Despite the speculation, his undeniably different appearance, and his breakup from Kris Jenner, the Keeping Up patriarch’s family has stood by him unabashedly. Kris has vocally termed reports of any Bruce Jenner transformation into the opposite sex ridiculous, while some of his children have been just as adamant. Daughter Kendall Jenner recently discussed the issue on Nightline , expressing her hope to “brush off” any unwanted media attention about her father. “My family, my friends, they know what’s real,” the model in the making said of the rumors surrounding him. “So what else, why does that matter?” The sex change rumors first started circulating when Jenner had his Adam’s Apple shaved down, with Bruce insisting he “just didn’t like” his trachea. He’s clearly not happy with more than that. Does it mean he’s actually becoming a woman in any true sense? Not necessarily. But it makes you wonder. Scroll through the photos below and see what you think … 11 Photos of Bruce Jenner Looking Sort of Like a Woman 1. Bruce Jenner with a Ponytail How long is Bruce Jenner’s hair these days? He can easily wear is in a ponytail.
In response to the Sony hacking scandal and threats of violence from a North Korean cyber-terrorist group, all five of the nation’s major theater chains have reportedly chosen not to carry the controversial Seth Rogen-James Franco comedy, The Interview. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Regal Entertainment, AMC Entertainment, Cinemark, Carmike Cinemas, and Cineplex Entertainment have all opted out of showing the film. Yesterday, the group identifying itself as “Guardians of Peace” issued terrorist threats and promised 9/11-style attacks on theaters that continued with plans to play The Interview. In response, Sony canceled a premiere event and offered contracted theaters the right to refuse the movie. Less than 24 hours later, The Interview has been ousted from every major theater chain, which effectively means that for the time being, there are no plans for the film to be released to the general public. Earlier today, there was talk that Sony hoped theaters would pull The Interview , so that the studio could avoid the PR nightmare of a nationwide release, without looking as though it had given into terrorist demands. If that’s the case, then execs got their wish. Now, however, they’re faced with two unattractive options: shelve the film completely and accept a massive financial loss, or find a different, more low-key approach to releasing it, such as a pay-per-view platform. Either way, it’s profoundly bad news for a film that Sony believed in enough to justify some massive risks. 9 Things We Learned From the Sony Hacking Scandal 1. New Ghostbusters Cast Revealed! Earlier this week, the cast of The Shawshank Redemption reunited in Hollywood for a 20th anniversary screening of the film. A box office flop when it was first released in 1994, Shawshank has since earned its place on the short list of true modern cinematic classics. The Shawshank Redemption Cast Photos 1. Tim Robbins The most recognizable Shawshank inmate at the time of the film’s release, Robbin’s performance as the wrongly-convicted Andy Dufresne has since become his signature role. In the years that followed he directed the acclaimed film Dead Man Walking, won an Academy Award for his performance in Mystic River, and established his place as one of Hollywood’s most versatile talents. Life-affirming but never cloying; heart-wrenching without being manipulative, Shawshank is one of those rare films whose appeal transcends generational boundaries and the demographic niches that usually determine a film’s success. No small feat for a film that features a murder and a rape scene in its first 20 minutes. Yes, unlike other films that have survived as sentimental favorites, Shawshank is no family-friendly romp. A tale of brutality and injustice of the highest order, Shawshank – like its protagonist in the film’s thrilling climax – takes the hard road to an unexpectedly satisfying conclusion. In that sense, it’s a film that proves one of the most vital truths of storytelling – a happy ending is only as moving as the struggles that preceded it. 1994 was a banner year for American movies, with Forrest Gump and Pulp Fiction also vying for Academy Awards honors. And yet somehow despite the boomer-years nostalgia of Gump and the violently audacious thrills of Fiction, Shawshank might be the year’s most enduringly beloved offering. And for a film that was widely dismissed by audiences twenty years ago, there can surely be no greater redemption. Check out our update on Shawshank’s principal players in the gallery above.
