If you’d dismissed the upcoming Ginnifer Goodwin-Kate Hudson wedding-themed chick flick Something Borrowed as just another Bride Wars -esque lady comedy, think again; Something Borrowed tackles a subject that’s been on the minds of modern artists for decades — the moral lines between friendship, love, sex, and betrayal. Or, in the immortal words of hip-hop group Naughty by Nature, circa 1991, it’s about one concept in particular: O.P.P.

Dog The Bounty Hunter Bailed Out Nicolas Cage & Other Fun Facts

As Nicolas Cage settles back into life after lock-up, a couple choice nuggets about his fateful arrest have emerged. First, it appears that Cage stumbled into a New Orleans tattoo shop, seemingly arguing with his harried wife, and demanded to be tattooed. He also asked said tattoo shop proprietors to call the cops because he “just didn’t remember where he lived.” So maybe Cage daring the cops to arrest him was all part of his ingenious plan? And once he was arrested, celebrity bondsman and total non-racist Dog Chapman, was the one to bail him out. God, Nicolas Cage even has to get bailed out extravagantly. Monday, we celebrated when HP producers announced a series of behind-the-scenes documentaries about the making of your favorite child wizard franchise, Emma Watson revealed her favorite moment from Deathly Hallows: Part 1 and barely legal Potter co-stars Jamie Campbell Bower and Bonnie Wright trumpeted their engagement . To close out the week Potter -style, here is a new Deathly Hallows: Part 2 image in which Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Hermione (Emma Watson) and Ron (Rupert Grint) stare fearfully into the future.

Friday Box Office: Rio Feathers Its Nest At Number One, Scre4m Is Number 2wo

The birds of paradise enjoyed a view from the top as Rio debuted Friday night at number one, leaving the teens of Scream 4 in second place. UPDATE: Nicolas Cage Arrested For Domestic Abuse After Allegedly Taunting Cops

TMZ is reporting that Nicolas Cage was arrested early Saturday morning in New Orleans and charged with one count of domestic abuse and one count of disturbing the peace. The identity of the victim is unknown and no other details are available at this time but we’ll keep you up to date as this story unfolds. The Hangover Part 2 Monkey Is Now Addicted to Cigarettes, Todd Phillips Regretfully Reports

Maybe including a monkey in The Hangover Part II was not director Todd Phillips’s finest idea. Earlier this month, the Motion Picture Association of America (rightly) complained about a sequence in which the denim jacketed primate simulates oral sex on Zach Galifianakis and Warner Bros. was forced to pull the the trailer from theaters. And now, officials at People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals are (rightly) outraged that Crystal, the capuchin monkey who appears in the film, cannot quit cigarettes after being taught to smoke on the Hangover: Part II set in Bangkok.

Early Press Go Bonkers for Transformers: Dark of the Moon Footage

A handful of online press got a sneak peek at Paramount’s Transformers: Dark of the Moon the other day, complete with face time with Michael Bay himself. Alas, Movieline was not in attendance, so we’ll have to take these other folks’ word for it and assume Transformers 3 could be the balls-out, insane, eyeball-searing giant robot war movie to end all giant robot war movies! Right, guys?!

Is Discussing Your Sex Life Publicly Really the Best Way to Promote Your Film?

What’s the best way to revive interest in a ’90s horror franchise? If you’re Scream 4 stars Courteney Cox and David Arquette, you might think the best marketing strategy involves complaining about your non-existent sex life on national TV and radio — which coincidentally, has nothing to do with the film you are hawking . Maybe they are onto something, though; appealing to the public’s basest interests — sex and tabloid gossip — might put asses into seats in spite of a project’s mediocre reviews and impertinence. Let’s take a look at the former couple’s Dirt y strategy and see if it’s worthy of replicating.

Screenwriter Joss Whedon and director Drew Goddard must be thrilled with and annoyed by their much-delayed horror film The Cabin in the Woods , because their new marketing campaign reflects the completed MGM movie’s lack of a release date. Nothing is more effective in “horror” font than sarcasm, apparently.

Zsa Zsa Gabor’s Husband Says She Wants A Baby

94-year-old Zsa Zsa Gabor’s media-hungry husband Prince Frederic von Anhalt claims his wife wants a second child. “I’ve gone through the initial steps of donor matching and blood work and next week the donation process will begin,” von Anhalt claimed, citing involvement with Beverly Hills’ Southern California Reproductive Center. Yeesh. Z.Z.’ s had major health setbacks in the past few years. Maybe they should commit to something a little more reasonable — like a cameo in a Naked Gun reboot or something. [ CNN ]
