Gwyneth Paltrow Rumored to Make Music with Matthew Morrison on Glee

First Javier Bardem agreed to “rock the house” on Glee and now his Oscar-winning peer Gwyneth Paltrow is rumored to be circling the Fox hit. The custom designed role — Paltrow and creator Ryan Murphy are buds and he wrote it with her in mind — extends over two episodes in November and would find Paltrow as a singing and dancing substitute teacher for Will Schuester. Naturally, both he and New Directions grow to love to her, much to the consternation of Emma Pillsbury. Stay Country Strong , Gwen! [ E! ]

TV Networks Smear Christine O’Donnell; Bozell Demands Media Tell the Truth! About Tea Party Victories

Dubbed as “ultra right wing extremist” and “crazy,” Republican candidate Christine O’Donnell and her Tea Party supporters have been smeared by every major broadcast and cable network since she won the Delaware primary against GOP establishment candidate on Tuesday night. NewsBusters publisher and Media Research Center President Brent Bozell reacts : This is mudsliging at its ugliest. Pure character assassination. These networks have never treated a viable Democratic candidate with this level of contempt.  How dare they lecture anyone on manners or decency ever again. The MRC demands the media Tell The Truth! about the Tea Party, its momentum and the revolution of people whose votes are proving America is fed up with Washington. Here are just some of the latest smears by the liberal media: NBC’s KELLY O’DONNELL (Sept. 15 “Today”): “Democratic officials are gleeful and called her an ultra right wing extremist.” ABC’s GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS (Sept. 15 “Good Morning America”) to Republican Senate nominee Christine O’Donnell: “We saw that the Republican Party chairman in Jon Karl’s piece there, he went on to say, that you’re ‘not a viable candidate.’ That you ‘cannot be elected dog catcher in Delaware.’ He went on to say that you’re either a liar or mentally unhinged.” MSNBC’s MIKE BARNICLE (Sept. 16 “Morning Joe”): “The larger problem she has, I would submit, is this: that ‘different’ this year, for a candidate, is good. People are looking for ‘different’ this year. ‘Crazy’ is not good. CNN’s JOY BEHAR (Sept. 15 “Joy Behar Show”): “She needs to watch some porn and get some tips, is what she needs.” CBS’s NANCY CORDES (Sept. 15 “Early Show”): “The chair of her own state party called O’Donnell, ‘a liar who could not be elected dog catcher,’ and yet, the tea party conservative easily defeated the well-known Mike Castle, 53 to 47%. O’Donnell, a former marketing consultant with a checkered financial record, was a dark horse until two weeks ago…” Be sure to click here to learn how you can do your part to Demand the Liberal Media Tell the Truth!

Guidos and the BP Oil Spill Are This Year’s Biggest Television Stars

This marks a sad state of affairs for the world: A global language survey determined that the words “BP Spillcam,” “dysfunctional” (associated with Modern Family ) and “Guido” were the most used words of the 2009-2010 television season. The survey used a math formula to track words and phrases used in print and electronic media. Other popular choices included “Lady Gaga,” “rude” (associated with Simon Cowell) and “Asperger’s Syndrome.” Better luck next year, Glee and Oprah. [ Reuters ]

‘Glee’ Cast In Desperate Hunt For VMA Tickets

‘Can we get some tickets, for God’s sake?’ asks a peeved Mike O’Malley. ‘Or do they only give it to the young kids of ‘Glee’?’ By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Jim Cantiello Matthew Morrison Photo: Jason Merritt/ Getty Images When MTV News announced that the cast of “Glee” would be presenting at this year’s Video Music Awards , fans of the show and castmembers alike seemed to have reason to celebrate. But it turns out not everyone is so “Glee”-ful. Some of their Fox castmates — specifically, those actors whose names aren’t Cory Monteith, Chris Colfer, Amber Riley and Jane Lynch — are trying to score VMA tickets before the show kicks off on Sunday in Los Angeles. “Can we get some tickets, for God’s sake? Or do they only give it to the young kids of ‘Glee’?” Mike O’Malley joked to MTV News at the show’s season-two premiere earlier this week. Dot Jones asked us, “Can I go with you?” “I want to go!” Jessalyn Gilsig, who plays Will Schuester’s wife, whined. Well, they may not be able to make it to the awards show, but they can watch it from the comfort of their living rooms and catch the night’s other big presenters. TV talk-show maven and former “American Idol” host Ellen DeGeneres (who will tape an episode of her show at the VMAs), reality-show starlet Kim Kardashian, VMA-nominated Katy Perry, “Star Trek” star Chris Pine, Rosario Dawson, the cast of “Jackass” (including Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera and Steve-O) and others will present from the Nokia Theatre. But co-star Matthew Morrison , who has a solo album in the works, revealed his a plan to score a place at the next Video Music Awards. “I’m hoping to perform at the VMAs next year!” The 27th annual MTV Video Music Awards will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday. The party starts with MTV News’ VMA Pre-Show at 8 p.m., followed by the main event at 9 p.m. ET. Fans can go to VMA.MTV.com (or text VMA to 97979 if they are Verizon subscribers) to vote for Best New Artist from now through Sunday.
