The memorial for 29-year-old Reeva Steenkamp is scheduled to take place tonight at the home of Oscar’s uncle, where the Olympic sprinter has been staying since he was released on bail last week. Oscar’s rep released a statement, saying, “Oscar specifically requested the memorial service as he continues to grieve and remains in deep mourning for the loss of his partner Reeva.” The rep adds, “Since it is such a sensitive issue, Oscar has asked for a private service with people who share his loss, including his family members who knew and loved Reeva as one of their own.” Sorry, but we can’t help but think this “private service” is all part of Tink Tink’s plan to convince people he didn’t bust a couple caps in his lady. Donald Trump Says Django Unchained Was A Racist Movie Motor-mouth meat head Donald Trump is back talking isht, but this time he surprised a few folks when he voiced his opinion on the controversial award-winning Tarantino film “Django Unchained.” via The Grio Believe it or not, director Spike Lee and conservative business mogul Donald Trump have something in common: They both hate Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained. During a series of tweets he unleashed during last night’s Academy Awards, the polarizing reality TV star saved some of his most vicious words for the hit slavery-themed Oscar winner. “Django Unchained is the most racist movie I have ever seen, it sucked!” he tweeted. Trump further explained his objections to the film during an appearance on Fox & Friends. “I thought it was terrible and a disgrace,” Trump said, adding that when people “talk about guns and gun control, that movie — people should watch that.” Sounds like the Donald is salty that Django Unchained racked up so many awards at the Oscars last night. Via NYDailyNews reports : Brooklyn Assemblyman Dov Hikind was sharply criticized Monday for dressing up in blackface and a large Afro wig to a Purim holiday party he hosted on Sunday. Hikind said the costume, which also included dark sunglasses and a bright orange basketball jersey, was part of a “good fun” celebration of the festive Jewish holiday. “Yes, I wore a costume on Purim and hosted a party,” Hikind wrote on his blog Monday morning. “Most of the people who attended also wore costumes. Everywhere that Purim was being celebrated, people wore costumes. It was Purim. People dress up.” Hikind added he was “intrigued that anyone who understands Purim—or for that matter understands me—would have a problem with this. This is political correctness to the absurd. There is not a prejudiced bone in my body.” But a Brooklyn city councilman, Democrat Charles Barron, said of the costume, “It is racist.” Barron dismissed Hikind’s comments justifying the get-up. “That is a bunch of crap. He is trying to justify his racism,” Barron said. Barron added: “If he wanted to find somebody who liked strange wild and crazy, he should look in the mirror. He didn’t have to pick on us.” A photo of Hikind in the costume was posted on his Facebook page before being removed Monday morning. Hikind told the website Politicker, which first reported that he wore the costume, that a professional makeup artist came to his home to apply the makeup, which proved difficult to remove afterward. The assemblyman said he spent more than 30 minutes in the shower scrubbing his face and still could not remove all of it. “I came out and I wiped my face and I still had stuff on my face. It’s going to take me a while,” the assemblyman explained. “But it’s all worth it, I would do it again in a minute.”. Via Celebuzz reports : Lance Bass is calling Chris Brown out — about a certain word the R&B star should toss from his vernacular. After a history of the letting the word “f**got” fly, whether it be in his hit “Look At Me Now” or an alleged attack on a fan, Brown has again come under fire for the homophobic slur. In the wake of Brown’s brawl with hip-hop artist Frank Ocean in late January, Ocean — who came out in late July — revealed to investigators that he was called the “f” word by a member of Breezy’s crew during the fray. And that simply doesn’t sit well with the openly gay Bass. “Calling people fa**ot and that stuff, I mean, he may not even mean what he means, but it’s a derogatory term that people throw out there and without even knowing why they are saying it,” Bass told Celebuzz. “But when it comes to Frank Ocean and knowing that he’s … very out … it was definitely meant to hurt him. It’s never good to throw those words out there that mean so much.” And it upsets Bass all the more that the slur is being thrown around by a minority. “[Brown] should understand that being a black man himself. He should know that the F word is just like calling you the N word in a very derogatory way,” Bass said. “When you come from a minority like that, being gay or black or whatever, it’s like there should be an understanding, like we all get each other. But you don’t see that a lot, which is really sad.” Given Brown’s brushes with the law — dating back to his 2009 felony assault of recently reconciled girlfriendRihanna — Bass sees the singer striding down a bad path. “I think there are a lot of people out there that have anger issues, and you can definitely see that in Chris Brown. John McCain (R-AZ) Monday made a joke comparing Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to a monkey, something one Republican congressman charged was “racist.” “So Ahmadinejad wants to be first Iranian in space – wasn’t he just there last week?” McCain said in a tweet that also linked to a story about Iran launching a monkey into space. Some didn’t take so kindly to the not-so-diplomatic quip, prompting McCain, 76, to respond: “Re: Iran space tweet – lighten up folks, can’t everyone take a joke?” Seeing that, Michigan congressman Rep. Justin Amash, 32, shot back. “Maybe you should wisen up & not make racist jokes,” Amash tweeted. It’s not the first time McCain’s made a joke about Iran that landed him in some hot water.
