Charlize Theron Says Pauly D Is Her Favorite ‘Jersey Shore’ Castmember

Oscar winner improves her record with MTV reality-show trivia. By Todd Gilchrist, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Josh Horowitz and Charlize Theron Photo: MTV News Charlize Theron is a cultured, cosmopolitan actress who transformed herself to play Aileen Wuornos (to Oscar-winning effect) in 2003’s “Monster” and threw herself into roles in socially conscious films like “Battle in Seattle” and “North Country.” But the real sign of her worldly wisdom is her familiarity with none other than MTV’s blockbuster reality show, “Jersey Shore.” “I know Snooki,” Theron told MTV News Saturday night at Spike TV’s Guys Choice Awards when asked how well she knew the show. “I know ‘The Situation’. [I know] Paulie.” Theron’s familiarity with even a few of the folks on “Jersey Shore” is a significant improvement on her storied history with “The Hills,” which she discussed several times with MTV News. She even has a favorite of the Seaside Heights crew. “I would say that out of all of them, Pauly is the cutest.” In between accidental F-bombs, another Theron trademark, she paid tribute to Snooki and JWoww, the show’s female contingent. “I love you all,” she said to the cast, who will all join MTV News on the red carpet for the MTV Movie Awards pre-show. “What are they called, guidettes? Rock on, guidettes!” Don’t miss the live red-carpet coverage, exclusive movie clips and fist-pumping action on MTV News’ “Jersey Shore Blow-Out at the MTV Movie Awards,” airing live from Los Angeles this Sunday, June 6, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Chris Rock Surprised Aziz Ansari Never Called Him For Hosting Advice

The 2010 MTV Movie Awards host could have learned ‘the ins and outs’ of awards shows from Rock, if only he’d asked. By Todd Gilchrist No matter who takes over hosting duties at MTV’s awards shows, they’re always standing on the shoulders of giants. After all, comedic luminaries like Eddie Murphy, Will Smith, Mike Myers and Ben Stiller have previously taken the stage to take the stuffing out of stuffy awards shows. But one of the most iconic Video Music Awards hosts, Chris Rock, told MTV News that he was surprised that 2010 Movie Awards host, Aziz Ansari hadn’t yet called him for advice. “I like Aziz, but he hasn’t called me,” Rock said Saturday at Spike TV’s Guys Choice Awards (which air on June 20). “That’s a bad sign.” Rock explained that he has actually offered guidance to other aspiring hosts in the past. “See, most of the hosts, they get the job and they call me, and I tell them the ins and outs,” said Rock, who followed up his 2003 VMAs stint by hosting the Oscars in 2005. “But he hasn’t called me.” Rock jokingly said that since Ansari never reached out to him, he refuses to take responsibility if there are any snafus during Sunday night’s awards ceremony. “If he messes up, it has nothing to do with me,” Rock said with a shrug. Sandra Bullock Thanks The Troops At Spike’s Guys Choice Awards

Fans in the military named Bullock the Entertainer of the Year on Saturday night. By Jocelyn Vena On Saturday night, a day before Sandra Bullock’s appearance at the MTV Movie Awards to accept the Generation Award , the actress took the stage at Spike TV’s Guys Choice Awards, which air June 20. Dressed in a body-hugging leather dress, Bullock was there to accept the Troops Choice Award for Entertainer of the Year, chosen by members of the military. In the speech, Bullock thanked the fans who voted her to victory at the show. “Let’s be honest here, just for a moment. We’re all going to be honest, right?” Bullock began. “Did I win this for being entertainer of the year, or did I win this because of the spectacular I.E.D. [improvised explosive device] explosion that became my personal life? “It’s OK, because I would do it over and over again if it was to entertain our troops,” she added, as she thanked the men and women of the military for their service. In anticipation of Bullock’s appearance at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night, the cast of the “Jersey Shore,” recently spoke to MTV News about the Oscar winner. “Sandra Bullock is probably one of my favorite actresses,” said JWoww, who will appear with her co-stars on MTV News’ “Jersey Shore Blow-Out at the MTV Movie Awards” Sunday night (June 6) at 8 p.m. ET. “I think she’s an amazing person. My favorite movie is ‘Miss Congeniality’; I watch it every day. She has an amazing aura about herself and presence.” Vinny Guadagnino noted that “The Blind Side” is one of his favorite Bullock films. “Sandra definitely deserves it,” he said of the Generation Award. “She’s a great actress, everyone knows that. And ‘The Blind Side’ was amazing. If you look back at all her movies, she’s funny yet serious.” Don’t miss the live red-carpet coverage, exclusive movie clips and fist-pumping action on MTV News’ “Jersey Shore Blow-Out at the MTV Movie Awards,” airing live from Los Angeles this Sunday, June 6, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Jessica Biel And Bradley Cooper Need To Catch Up On ‘Jersey Shore’

They better hurry — the ‘Jersey Shore’ cast will join the ‘A-Team’ stars on the MTV Movie Awards red carpet Sunday! By Todd Gilchrist, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Bradley Cooper Photo: MTV News Given the fact that the impeccably coiffed folks from MTV’s “Jersey Shore” are virtually everywhere these days, it’s hard to imagine that anyone isn’t on a first-name basis with the castmembers. But it turns out that some actors and filmmakers simply don’t budget enough time into their superstar schedules to keep tabs on Snooki, JWoww and the rest of the crew. When asked if he were familiar with the show, Bradley Cooper, who is presenting Best Kiss at Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards ceremony, told MTV Movies: “I am ashamed to say that I am not, because all of my friends, that’s all they talk about.” Cooper revealed that he actually has his own Jersey connection: “I grew up going to the Jersey Shore every summer.” Meanwhile, Jessica Biel, who not only is presenting the Best Kiss award with Cooper but also co-stars with him in the new “A-Team” film, admitted she knew about the show, but wasn’t much more familiar with it than Cooper. “I’ve never seen it,” Biel confessed. “I know who these people are — I mean, I don’t live in a hole. Well, somewhat but not really. But I’ve never seen the show.” The MTV Movies team helped Biel out, explaining that Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino’s perfectly carved physique earned him his now-infamous nickname. Biel laughed, “Oh, God, that’s a person? ‘The Situation’ equals ample abs? I wasn’t aware. Thank you! “I know somebody would have said that,” she said about walking the Movie Awards red carpet on Sunday and fielding “Jersey Shore” questions. “And I would have said, ‘I don’t know what’s going on! What’s happening?’ ” During MTV News’ “Jersey Shore Blow-Out at the MTV Movie Awards,” which airs at 8 p.m., right before the Movie Awards, Snooki, Pauly, JWoww, the Situation, Angelina, Sammi, Ronnie and Vinny will present the first 10 minutes of “Jersey Shore” season two . The new season, which premieres in full on Thursday, July 29, follows the cast as they leave the chilly winter waters of Seaside Heights and head out on a road trip to Miami. MTV Movie Awards Should Have Brawls And Nudity, Host Aziz Ansari Says

‘Like Ronnie from ‘Jersey Shore,’ he’s not going to be at the Oscars,’ the host says of limitless comic opportunities. By : Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Tim Kash Aziz Ansari Photo: Sohyung Kang/ MTV News If Aziz Ansari were running the 2010 MTV Movie Awards , some of the highlights from the show would include a fistfight between a Hollywood superstar and a reality show mover-and-shaker, and a certain A-List star whipping out his manhood in front of millions of viewers. Come to think of it, Aziz basically is in charge, as host of this year’s awards show. So, yeah, things could get a bit insane on Sunday, when it airs live at 9 p.m. ET/PT. You’ll just have to tune in to see what the 27-year-old comedian delivers. As he told MTV News, his wish list is a ridiculous and amazing mix of celeb pranks, brawls and more than a few moments that are definitely not safe for the airwaves. For one nutty example, Aziz is pulling for a throwdown between Johnny Depp and Ronnie from the “Jersey Shore” — and that’s just the sort of thing that makes the show great. “There’s the biggest movie stars in the world and then people that are famous for saying ‘bro’ a lot,” Aziz explained. “I mean, those people are not going to be at other awards shows. Like Ronnie from ‘Jersey Shore,’ he’s not going to be at the Oscars. He’s at the MTV Movie Awards, and he’ll probably do something dumb, like, he’ll go and punch Johnny Depp in the face or something. ‘Yo bro, you were looking at me weird,’ ” he imagined Ronnie saying in the confrontation. “That’s what’s fun about this show.” A lot of the fun last year, of course, centered around Eminem and Br

Amanda Seyfried Leads Best Scared-As-Sh– Nominees At Movie Awards

Sharlto Copley, Jesse Eisenberg, Katie Featherston and Alison Lohman try to out-frighten the ‘Letters to Juliet’ star at Sunday’s show. By Jocelyn Vena Jesse Eisenberg and Emma Stone Photo: MTV News Zombies, hell, ghosts, man-eaters and aliens — these are a few of our favorite things, and they left Alison Lohman, Sharlto Copley, Katie Featherston, Jesse Eisenberg and Amanda Seyfried frightened beyond belief and competing for the Best Scared-As-Sh– Performance at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards. Sharlto Copley may have been able to fend off aliens in “District 9,” but that doesn’t necessarily mean he will be able to fight off his fellow nominees, none of whom happen to be aliens. (At least we don’t think so.) Will Katie Featherston finally be able to enjoy a good night’s sleep after a possible win for her turn in “Paranormal Activity”? Fighting zombies isn’t easy — so after staving off those annoying undead, flesh-eating creatures in “Zombieland,” will Jesse Eisenberg still have the strength to keep his competition at bay? Although a lot of people would love for Megan Fox to chase after them, her “Jennifer’s Body” co-star Amanda Seyfried wished she could get her human-eating pal off her back. However, on Sunday, Seyfried herself will be chasing after the Golden Popcorn. Alison Lohman went to hell and back in “Drag Me to Hell,” which was more than enough to prepare her for a possible trip to the Gibson Amphitheatre stage to collect an award. ‘Jersey Shore’ Star Snooki Shops For Her MTV Movie Awards Dress

‘As long as I have that attitude as a guidette, then I can roll it,’ she says of her fashion choices. By Jocelyn Vena Snooki Photo: Sohyung Kang/ MTV News Snooki has been tapped to be MTV News’ guest correspondent for the Movie Awards on Sunday, which means the “Jersey Shore” star needs to find the right dress to dazzle on the red carpet next to some of Hollywood’s biggest stars. The Princess of Pouf invited our cameras along to document her shopping spree. Snooki first tried on a fuschia minidress complete with sequined fringe that she lovingly referred to as ” ‘Avatar’ hairs.” “I really love this dress,” she said, explaining that the sequins make it “very Snooki” — but there were plenty of frocks to go. Next up was a little black dress complete with sequins — you can’t go wrong with a LBD, right ladies? Well, Snooki disagreed. “The sequins are really big; I look like a walking disco ball,” she explained. “Other than that, I like the black. I feel like I look somewhat elegant. It could be a guidette dress … as long as I have that attitude as a guidette, then I can roll it.” The next gold spandex dress wasn’t up to guidette standards. “To be honest with you, I feel like a stripper,” she shared. “I try and stay away from gold because guidettes don’t wear gold — they wear silver.” The fourth pick, a little white dress embellished with multicolored sparkles, felt like it could be just right. “Obviously gorgeous!” she raved. “It’s so guidette. You got the bling everywhere. The only thing I don’t like is the boob — it should be a V.” Don’t miss the live red-carpet coverage, exclusive movie clips and fist-pumping action on MTV News’ “Jersey Shore Blow-Out at the MTV Movie Awards,” airing live from Los Angeles this Sunday, June 6, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. ‘Jersey Shore’ Stars Invade Enrique Iglesias’ ‘I Like It’ Video

‘When everybody sees this music video, they’re pretty much gonna realize that we’re a bunch of nut jobs,’ Snooki tells MTV News. By MTV News staff By now, we’ve seen that the “Jersey Shore” kids know their way around the gym, the laundromat and the tanning salon. But since they’ve become reality-show superstars in their own right, they’ve been picking up a few new skills. Case in point: their starring roles in Enrique Iglesias’ music video for “I Like It,” the club-ready single from the Jersey Shore Soundtrack. Snooki, the Situation and their pals are featured in the video — crashing a concert, obviously — and MTV News was there to catch all the behind-the-scenes details. “When everybody sees this music video, they’re pretty much gonna realize that we’re a bunch of nut jobs, just trying to crash Enrique’s concert,” Snooki told us. No offense, Snooki, but didn’t we already know that? Catch any “Shore” episode and you’ll see all manner of brawls, shameless hookups and wicked pranks. All that behavior is on full display in the video. And we’re about to get a fresh dose of Snooki and the Situation’s wild world when the second season of the show debuts July 29. Before then, MTV will debut 10 minutes of the first new episode during the MTV Movie Awards pre-show this Sunday. Next month, on July 20, Jersey Shore Soundtrack hits shelves. A collection of songs inspired by the tanned-and-terrific hit series, the album features tracks from Lil Jon, LMFAO, Taio Cruz and Akon, as well as Iglesias single featuring Pitbull. Iglesias had a blast shooting the video with Snooki and her friends, and he can’t wait until fans get a chance to check out the video. They will, of course, when it premieres on Sunday night at the Movie Awards. “This song is good — actually, not good, it’s f—ing good,” Iglesias said. “Let’s go out there and have some fun. It’s the kids from the ‘Jersey Shore.’ What else would you ask for?” Don’t miss the live red-carpet coverage, exclusive movie clips and fist-pumping action on MTV News’ “Jersey Shore Blow-Out at the MTV Movie Awards,” airing live from Los Angeles this Sunday, June 6, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
