Last night, Jay Leno premiered a lost Tonight Show original starring Jeremy Piven that sucked so much, production decided not to use the footage after it was originally shot. Perhaps hoping that mercury poison jokes get better with age, the Leno dug up the bit for his latest segment with the Entourage star. Meanwhile, Hayek’s co-star Maria Bello tried her best to not seem humiliated while telling Craig Ferguson that she accepted a paycheck for playing a chronic breastfeeder. REVIEW: The A-Team Pushes the Action-Junk Envelope in All the Wrong Ways

The plot of The A-Team can be summed up thus: Stuff happens, connected by dialogue. Helicopters explode; human beings are nearly incinerated; trucks burst into flames. “Ha ha! Wow! You blew that thing up!” says Bradley Cooper, or Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, or Sharlto Copley — or maybe they all say it at once, though that would entail some extra coordination that’s probably beyond their grasp. Meanwhile, big-name star Liam Neeson looks on, trying to add some class to the joint, though even he seems to know it’s a losing battle.

A few weeks ago prior to a taping of Late Night With Jimmy Fallon , Roots leader and NWA enthusiast Questlove enlisted guest Ice Cube to revive the rap pioneers’ “Straight Outta Compton.” The video of the performance only made it online late Tuesday, depicting a sanitized, Rock Center-friendly rendition of a song whose original endures as one of the most searing tracks of the ’80s. I can’t lie: It raises goose bumps — and at least a few questions.
