Jonas Brothers’ little bro talks about his upcoming role on ‘R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour: The Series.’ By Jocelyn Vena Frankie Jonas Photo: MTV News NEW YORK — Frankie Jonas may be the smallest of the Jonas brothers, but he certainly isn’t short on personality. Frankie, like his three older brothers before him, is trying his hand at show business and will appear this weekend on “R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour: The Series.” Being that it is the season for all things creepy, the always swagged-out Frankie decided to bring MTV News along as he searched for the just-right Halloween costume. “What we’re doing here today, we are looking at the costumes and we’re going costume shopping,” he told MTV News at Abracadabra. “Which I’m really happy about, because I need to get a head-start on my costume.” Jonas picked two costumes — a zombie and Chucky from “Child’s Play” — and he explained why, of all the costumes in the store, those made his final cut. “I chose the zombie because I was a zombie for two years in a row … zombies, they’re like the full-on. Everyone loves zombies,” he said. “Zombies are the base of Halloween, ’cause you get dead, you get living and you get creepy. “I like Chucky, ’cause it’s really, like, no offense to Chucky, but he’s kind of cheesy,” the 11-year-old continued. “But that’s what I like about him. I love old, cheesy horror movies. I love horror movies. My two favorites are probably ‘Sweeney Todd’ and the original ‘Nightmare on Elm Street.’ ” His episode of the series, titled “Pumpkinhead,” will air Saturday on the Hub, and like any seasoned pro, Jonas is keeping the details a big secret. “It’s scary funny, but my episode full-on creeps you out. It’s like if you mixed together intense with, like, super scary and then a little bit of comedy, and then you get [my episode],” he explained. “My character, I’m not scary, but I do things that make things scary. Tyler, The Creator Gets ‘Stupid’ In ‘BSD’ Video

By Rob Markman Tyler, The Creator Photo: MTV News Due to the song’s explicit nature, “B— Suck D—” probably won’t go down as Tyler, The Creator ‘s most popular video, but it might be his funniest. Like the VMA-winning “Yonkers,” Wolf Haley directed the “BSD” clip, which premiered online October 11 and has already racked up more than a million YouTube views. “I just wanted to make a video that’s like the personality of me and my friends on a daily basis of just stupid sh–,” Tyler told MTV News. The Goblin track, which also features Odd Future members Jasper Dolphin and Taco, finds Tyler in one scene doing his best David Hasselhoff impersonation. At the start of his verse, the OFWGKTA frontman runs across a beach with no pants in an obvious “Baywatch” parody. “I just thought it’d be funny if I ran on the beach in a wig. There wasn’t that much thought put into it like any other video. I was just like, ‘I want a video for “BSD,” ‘ ” he said. Jasper is dressed in an orange tracksuit while working out for the cam; Taco, on the other hand, is in the kitchen cooking up a steak. His dish doesn’t look half bad either, until Taco spits on the concoction and then sits his bare bottom atop the raw cut of beef. “When I listen to the song, that’s what comes up: Taco cookin’, Jasper working out with really fat girls in a sh–ty setting and me running down a beach in slow motion not saying any of my f—ing lyrics,” Tyler said. Drake Bell Working On ‘Big Choruses’ For Next Album

By Jocelyn Vena Drake Bell Photo: MTV News Drake Bell may have released his A Reminder EP just this year, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t already hard at work on his next album. The “Terrific” singer said that, while the logistics of when his album will drop are still up in the air, he definitely knows what he wants it to sound like. “I’ve been writing a lot of songs recently with some really great songwriters,” he told MTV News. “I love collaborating with other people. You just get the other ideas in the room, and the new music is sounding great. There’s not a specific record, but the catalog of the material of songs is getting really great.” When asked who his dream collaborator would be, he had two names on the brain: Dr. Luke and Max Martin, hitmakers for the likes of Katy Perry and Britney Spears, to just name a few. Given his description of this next project, it seems they would be the perfect guys to get in the studio with the actor/musician. “It’s real poppy,” he explained. “I’ve been writing with a lot of real interesting cats. A lot of the writing sessions I’m doing, we won’t pick up a guitar. It’s all about the big choruses but still coming from [a real place]. It’s not just party music. I’m excited to hear them all finished. They’re in various states right now.” In between recording sessions and acting projects, Bell kicks off a tour later this month, but his focus is still very much on this next album. “I’m looking forward to a nap,” he joked. “Let’s see, I’m really looking forward to going on tour and getting the band back together. … It’s gonna be fun. Taylor Swift Teases ‘Surprise Projects’ For 2012

By Jocelyn Vena Photo: MTV News The new year might still be a few months off, but the always-ambitious Taylor Swift is already cooking up some big projects for 2012. With her new album , full of “sad” songs, already in the planning stages, Swift excitedly dished that it’s not the only big thing she has up her sleeve for next year. Her arena-filling, celeb-frequented Speak Now Tour continues chugging along through the early part of 2012, and her perfume, Wonderstruck , is now out on the market, giving fans the chance to smell like the pop star. But, Swift is also making time for some other projects she thinks will have her fans excited. The singer told MTV News she’s working on “some surprise projects that may or may not happen, and possibly some acting.” “I’ve just been so excited about what’s gonna happen in the next year,” she said. “I’m also really excited about [the next album]. I’ve been writing all the time. I’ve been writing so much for the new record. I can’t believe I’m saying that already: It comes out in a year, but I’m already excited about it.” Before we officially ring in the new year, Swift shared that she’s looking forward to the tail end of 2011, with the holidays and her 22nd birthday still to celebrate. “I’m excited about the holidays,” she said. “I love Christmas. Nikki Reed Calls Wedding To Paul McDonald ‘Magical’

Brown/ Getty Images The first 24 hours of Nikki Reed and Paul McDonald’s married life seem to be going quite well. The newlyweds took to Twitter to let their fans know just how happy they are after Sunday’s wedding. “Yesterday was the most magical day of my life…” the “Twilight” actress tweeted Monday (October 17), one day after she said “I do” to the “American Idol” singer. “Yesterday was the most amazing day of my life,” Mc Donald wrote , echoing his bride’s enthusiasm. “Everything was perfect. I’m officially a MARRIED MAN! Woohoo!” The couple married in front of 100 guests in Malibu on Sunday. E! News reports that “Idol” singer Stefano Langone played the reception, along with McDonald’s band, Grand Magnolias. McDonald also reportedly performed at the party. “Spy Kids” star and Reed pal Alexa Vega served as a bridesmaid at the festivities. “We couldn’t be happier!” the couple said in a statement after news broke of their wedding. “[We were] surrounded by our family and friends. We’re so glad this day has come!” The two began dating in April and got engaged just two months later. They announced their plans to marry at the MTV Movie Awards in June, where Reed was spotted sporting an engagement ring. “She’s amazing. It’s kind of one of those things you don’t expect,” McDonald gushed to MTV News earlier this year. “Like, last year I never would have thought I’d be getting married. She’s amazing. She’s the perfect girl. We fit each other. When you know, you know, and she’s the one.” The pair have been quite public about their relationship. McDonald plans to release an album tentatively called The Nikki Reed EP, and when Reed hit up the Teen Choice Awards in August, she was sporting Paul’s face on her nails and revealed that he was being quite the bridezilla . “He’s doing a lot of it, he is. He’s, like, taking control,” Reed said about McDonald’s part in the wedding planning. “He sits with his computer in between songs and is kind of on a roll with everything.” Leave your well-wishes for the newlyweds in the comments below!

Lil Wayne, T.I., Wiz Khalifa To Get ‘Sleazy’ With Ke$ha

Now, a few more rappers want to get dirty with the glittery pop singer. XXLmag.com reports that T.I. plans to jump on the track, and Lil Wayne and Wiz Khalifa will also be joining Andre and Tip on a new version of “Sleazy.” Weezy should be a welcome addition to Ke$ha’s dance tune , as it sounds somewhat like Wayne’s single “A Milli.” And while not much else is known about the remix, T.I. promised that he’s going to go big with his verse. “I haven’t heard anybody but mine. … I’m gonna put my money on mine,” the newly freed rapper, who ended an 11-month prison sentence in September, told the website. The Andre 3000 remix dropped earlier this year and appears on K-Dollar Sign’s album Cannibal. The guys will have a lot of swagger to compete with because when Andre appeared on the first remix, he had this to say: “We start out so cute in our baby pictures/ That mama shot for our daddy so that he wouldn’t forget you/ He forgot anyway, but hey, one day he’ll remember/ If not, he’s human, I’m human, you human, we’ll forgive him/ I call her Keisha, she like it because it’s ‘hood to her/ She call me Andre 6000 because I’m good to her.” Tip told XXLmag.com that his appearance on the Ke$ha song is just one of many remixes he’s amped about. He has also worked on remixes for Meek Mill and Rick Ross’s “Ima Boss,” as well as Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch the Throne song “N—as in Paris.” “I’m looking for some more records to jump on,” he said. “That’s what I’m doin’ right now. Now, more than two years later, MTV News heard the tale straight from Jackman himself, who stopped by our offices to chat about “Real Steel.” “I actually did karaoke with Rob. That’s random, isn’t it?” he said. “We were on our way to Japan, and he was promoting [‘Twilight’] and I didn’t talk to him at all on the flight, because he’s this really tall guy with a hood over his head literally, and every time I’d go to the bathroom, I’d be like, ‘Man, that guy takes some serious sleeping pills,’ because this was him [ slumps over ] the whole time.” But the twosome quickly went from strangers on a plane to friends at a bar. “When he got out, I was like, ‘Hey, man,’ and Baz Luhrmann was also on the flight because we were promoting ‘Australia.’ So we went out to this Japanese karaoke bar, and we invited Rob, and he came,” he said. “And it was so much fun. Man, he’s got a voice. Really soulful.” Jackman expanded a bit on the night’s debauchery, revealing what really goes on at a Japanese karaoke bar, for the uninitiated. “The first thing you do is you get inside this room, the doors are closed, and there’s, like, eight of you,” Jackman explained. “So it feels a little weird. And then all of a sudden, they open, and they bring in these boxes, which are basically [full of] dress-up [clothes], and it’s all girls’ clothes. I was a schoolgirl, Baz got dressed up, and Rob did not. Jay Sean Says Joe Jonas Tour Was ‘Crazy,’ ‘Hectic’

By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Akshay Bhansali Jay Sean Photo: Marc Andrew Deley/ Getty Images For a minute there, Jay Sean was living the “fast life.” After trekking across the country with the newly solo Joe Jonas and a reinvented JoJo , Sean and his crew wrapped up their tour on Thursday night in New York City. The singer stopped by the MTV News offices to reflect on the outing just hours before he took the stage. “I mean, you know what the funny thing is, you wouldn’t have thought to put us three together,” he said of the “triple J’s.” “JoJo’s great ’cause she’s like the girl-power thing. And then me and Joe, the best thing about me and Joe being together, not only are the majority of our fans young girls, we have this overlap of fans. That’s how we put this tour together. We’re like, ‘You know, man? It makes sense.’ ” While the trio didn’t get to have much downtime together, they did manage to squeeze in some fun here and here. “It’s been so crazy,” he said. “It’s been so hectic. [But] we’ve had fun along the way.” Sean had some kind words for his tourmates just as they were prepping to say goodbye to one another. “Well, JoJo’s a fantastic vocalist and she really brings it. I think that’s always nice to watch and witness someone just sing really well,” he said. “There’s a lot of changes in [Joe’s] set and things his fans are getting really excited about,” he continued. “The slightest knee jerk from him and they go crazy. He’s got a nice, well-put-together show. For me, as a fan of music, I love going when I have a chance to sit there and watch somebody do something. I love it.” So, what’s up next for everyone? Well, lots of new music. Sean will drop his delayed album, Freeze Time , later this fall, while Jonas’ album Fast Life hits the streets on Tuesday.
