50 Cent Wants Next Album To Have ‘Aggression’ Of His Debut

‘ Get Rich or Die Tryin’ was all the dysfunctional behavior I had seen my entire life,’ Fif tells MTV News. By Jayson Rodriguez, with reporting Josh Horowitz 50 Cent Photo: Jordan Strauss/ Getty Images Last year was quiet on the music front for 50 Cent but the G-Unit superstar is looking to change that in 2011. “I’m about 80 percent done with my new album,” he told MTV News over the weekend about his forthcoming LP, Black Magic. “It should be out this summer, I’m working on that. It’s exciting; we’ll see how everyone responds to that.” For the collection, 50 is expected to hearken back to his early projects, like the material from his debut, Get Rich or Die Tryin’. “The content had extreme aggression,” he said of his first album. “What I offered on Get Rich or Die Tryin’ was all the dysfunctional behavior I had seen all my entire life and I became the album to the general public.” The rapper’s most recent project, 2009’s Before I Self Destruct, became the lowest-selling album in the self-described “SoundScan Killer” ‘s career. Yet, as always, he remained relevant in part because of his business savvy, pushing Lloyd Banks’ The Hunger for More 2 on the revamped G-Unit Records. Banks, who worked with 50’s former music rival Kanye West on HFM2, suggested late last year that the G-Unit head and West could unite soon on record. And although there aren’t any set plans for a collaboration, 50 has been following West’s moves, in particular, his joint album with Jay-Z , slated to arrive this year. “It should be interesting,” Fif said of Watch the Throne. “When you’ve got two artists, it’s a good combination, good collaborations should come out of it.” Do you think 50 should revisit his “Get Rich” sound on his next album? New Kids On The Block And Backstreet Boys Add 16 Tour Dates

Boy-band supergroup NKOTBSB will hit even more cities on first joint tour. By Gil Kaufman Backstreet Boys’ A.J. McLean Photo: Astrid Stawiarz/ Getty Images Absence does indeed make the heart grow fonder. And when it’s two of the biggest boy bands in modern history that you’re missing, go ahead and double that longing. That might explain why the boy-band supergroup NKOTBSB (otherwise known as New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys) have announced plans to nearly double the amount of dates on their first-ever joint tour. After initially announcing two dozen dates slated to kick off June 2 in Uncasville, Connecticut, and run through a July 9 date in Vancouver, British Columbia, the scream-feeder pairing will now stay on the road through July 30 due to what promoter Live Nation called “overwhelming” demand for tickets. The 41-date swing will now wrap up with a July 30 show at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The additional dates include shows in Minneapolis, St. Louis, Orlando, Cleveland and Atlantic City. In their biggest tune-up to date for the outing, the group rocked it in front of millions on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” eight months after they set fans’ hearts aflutter by performing onstage together for the first time at a sold-out NKOTB show at Radio City Music Hall in New York in June. Then they knocked it out of the park in November when they closed the American Music Awards with a medley that included Backstreet’s “I Want It That Way” and NKOTB’s “Hangin’ Tough.” The tour will feature appearances by all but one of the groups’ original members: Joey McIntyre, AJ McLean, Jordan Knight, Howie Dorough, Jonathan Knight, Donnie Wahlberg, Brian Littrell, Danny Wood and Nick Carter (BSB’s Kevin Richardson left the group in 2006). Tickets for the new dates go on sale on January 15. NKOTBSB tour dates:

Katie Price Has Seen Better Days Which Isn’t Saying Much of the Day

I don’t know what is going on in these pictures. I just know that Katie “Jordan” Price has seen better days and I love documenting undeserving bitches who made stupid money cuz she had stupid fake tits and the majority of the population are retard “Bros” who love stupid fake tits cuz tehy think they have to otherwise their frat house or mechanic partners will call them gay, fall from their little empire they built…. Maybe it is strain from raising a retard baby, maybe it’s bad plastic surgery from being insecure and knowing she has no self worth other than her fleeting looks that were never really anything special, maybe it’s drugs and really who fucking cares, she’s practically a nobody….but here are the pics, looking like a battered ex-stripper in the trailer park, so point and laugh if you’re like me and appreciate good failure like a fine wine every now and then/always. I’d just love to see how weathered her old sock of a vagina looks….let’s hope the desperation gets to that level

Christina Aguilera Talks About ‘Unhealthy’ Marriage, New Romance

‘We just weren’t right for each other. I couldn’t face living another five years [together],’ the singer tells People magazine. By James Dinh Christina Aguilera Photo: Denise Truscello/ Wireimage After nearly five long years, Christina Aguilera’s marriage to Jordan Bratman had deteriorated. The powerhouse singer, who filed for divorce in October, opens up about her “unhealthy and unhappy” relationship in the new issue of People magazine , and also speaks about her budding new romance. “Things were so unhealthy and unhappy for both Jordan and me, I knew I had to end it,” Aguilera explains candidly in the issue. “It wasn’t good for us, and it wasn’t good for [our son] Max to witness out arguments. When you’re unhappy in a marriage, your children are the ones who suffer. That’s the last thing I wanted for my son.” As noted in her hit single “Fighter,” the songstress wasn’t going to let her marriage fall apart without a fight. Aguilera tells the magazine that they tried to spend some family time together on a trip to Italy, but unfortunately things just didn’t work out.” While Xtina tried her best to work out the romance, she ultimately got a reality check when she returned home from shooting her sparkling new musical, “Burlesque,” in March. “When I finished filming, I didn’t feel right in my own shoes [at home],” she said. “I had a lot of things stirring inside of me that I felt were being suppressed. We just weren’t right for each other. I couldn’t face living another five years [together].” So what’s the deal with her new boyfriend, Matthew Rutler? Aguilera admits he’s “a special person,” whom she met on the set of “Burlesque.” “We had a really strong friendship on the movie. He’s the kind of person you could spend hours on the phone talking to and all of a sudden it’s daylight. Once I filed for divorce, we started dating.” When asked if she’s in love, the singer explained that there’s something special in Rutler, saying, “There’s a love there, yes. I’m having fun, I’m dating and it’s something I haven’t had in a really long time.” What do you think about Christina’s new romance? Sound off in the comments! Christina Aguilera on Matt Rutler: "A Lot of Love There"

Need another sign that things are serious between Christina Aguilera and Matt Rutler? The singer has spoken publicly about her new man for the first time. Aguilera tells People she met Rutler on the set of Burlesque , but didn’t officially start dating Rutler until her divorce was finalized, adding: “Matthew is a special person. We had a really strong friendship on the movie. He’s the kind of person you could spend hours on the phone talking to and all of a sudden it’s daylight.” Just how quickly are things progressing? “I’m not trying to jump into anything,” says the singer. “I just left a five-year marriage… There’s a love there, yes. I’m having fun… I’m taking it slow and trying to be happy.” But why did things fall apart with husband Jordan Bratman, from which she filed for divorce in October? It all started while filming the aforementioned musical, Aguilera says. “As a musician you’re with your posse all the time, and during the movie I removed myself from mine. So I had an independence I’d never felt before. I was growing leaps and bounds daily. I went from being a girl to a woman. “When I finished filming, I didn’t feel right in my own shoes [a home]. I had a lot of things stirring inside of me that I felt were being suppressed. We tried to work on the marriage and figure out a common ground, but the problems were obvious.”

The first-of-its-kind outing uniting the dominating male vocal group of the late 1980s, NKOTB, with their musical progeny from the 1990s, BSB, had been rumored for months, and when the initial limited slate of dates was announced last month, demand crashed the bands’ websites.

NKOTB’s Jordan Knight tells MTV News that their American Music Awards By Mawuse Ziegbe, with reporting by Tim Kash Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block Photo: Kevin Mazur/WireImage Superstar boy bands New Kids on the Block and the Backstreet Boys , who each spent a segment of the ’90s causing teen-girl hysteria with their squeaky-clean party jams and baby-faced good looks, are now joining forces for a U.S. tour in June. On Sunday night (November 21), the country got a taste of what an NKOTBSB show will look like when the nine-member collective closed the 2010 American Music Awards . Before hitting the AMA stage, the fellas told MTV News that the collaborative awards-show production mirrors the staging of their upcoming trek. “It’s gonna be exactly what they see on the tour,” NKOTB’s Jordan Knight said of the show, in which the guys took turns belting pop smashes by both groups. “I think a lot of people, when they hear New Kids are going on tour with the Backstreet Boys, they think we’re gonna, like, [face] off; we’re gonna be some kind of rivalry. But that’s not the case. They’re gonna see tonight onstage that it’s a collaboration, that we get along … and you’ll see it on our performance.” The amiable rapport among the crew is definitely evident when the guys talk about each band’s contribution to pop music. Members of NKOTB and BSB maintain that the groups have a symbiotic relationship: The New Kids paved the way, and the Boys kept the boy-band phenomenon alive. “In many ways, they contemporize us. They brought us to the forefront,” NKOTB’s Joey McIntyre explained. “When the Backstreet Boys came out, at first you’re like, ‘OK, these guys are kinda doing their thing.’ To get the credit that somehow we started [the boy-band trend] – which we didn’t, ’cause there’s New Edition and the Jackson 5 and this tradition’s being going on forever – they kinda shed a light on what we did too, and that’s nice.” Nick Carter added that the “Larger Than Life” crooners were amped to hit the road with their ’90s teen-idol forefathers. “We appreciate and respect everything that these guys have done for the music industry, and now it’s just great to be together,” he said. “I think that’s what’s awesome.” NKOTB’s resident bad boy Danny Wahlberg compared the team-up to a successful partnership straight out of Hollywood. “It’s Rocky and Apollo taking out Mr. T,” he quipped, as the fellas laughed. Jay-Z Says ‘Kanye Spoke What Everyone Felt’ During Hurricane Katrina

Jay tells NPR he finds it ‘strange’ the lowest point of George W. Bush’s presidency was ‘somebody talking about him.’ By Kara Warner Jay-Z Photo: Bryan Bedder/Getty Images Jay-Z continued to promote his new book, “Decoded,” on Tuesday (November 16) with an interview on NPR’s “Fresh Air,” where he addressed many topics, including former President George W. Bush’s recent comments about Jay’s good friend Kanye West. Bush’s admission that West’s Hurricane Katrina rant was the low point of his presidency struck Jay-Z as odd. “First, I find it strange, like everyone else should, that one of his lowest points was somebody talking about him,” Jay-Z said of Kanye’s infamous “George Bush doesn’t care about black people” comment. “He’s the president. People should insult him a lot. That’s part of the job description.” He went on to reiterate an excerpt from “Decoded” in which he talks about how the mishandling of the rescue/relief efforts after Hurricane Katrina affected him. “It didn’t feel like a natural disaster; it felt like it was happening directly to blacks, and immediately those images of people in suits getting beaten, sprayed with hoses, beaten on the bridge at Selma, all these emotions were going on inside of us,” Jay said. “Kanye really spoke what everyone else felt.” The NPR interviewer also asked Jay for his evaluation of President Obama’s work thus far, and he said Bush’s legacy — “the worst eight years of our life” — was a big obstacle for Obama to overcome. “I think he’s had so many challenges,” he said. “I applaud his efforts and where he’s going. Of course, it’s not 100 percent, but you have to take into context what he inherited and what he’s working with. He’s in the negative, and if you think he can fix eight years of damage in two years, I don’t know if that’s realistic.” Do you agree with Jay-Z about President Bush’s comments? ‘Green Lantern’ Trailer, Shot By Shot

Get a sneak peek of Ryan Reynolds in all his emerald glory — not to mention the baddies he’s up against. By Brian Warmoth Ryan Reynolds in the “Green Lantern” trailer Photo: Warner Bros. In just two and a half minutes, the first “Green Lantern” trailer introduces exactly what kind of superhero Ryan Reynolds is going to portray onscreen, with “Gossip Girl” leading lady Blake Lively staring him down the whole way. In the sneak peek, Hal Jordan (Reynolds) gets dressed, gets rid of his pants and slips on his ring to get redressed in the famous emerald uniform that signifies his new status in the Green Lantern Corps. Witty banter, the Planet Oa , Mark Strong as Sinestro and Peter Sarsgaard as Hector Hammond all make appearances in the series of clips, which leave no doubt that director Martin Campbell has set out to attack the world of the Lanterns in epic fashion. 0:00-0:14 : Reynolds wastes no time hiding his superhero physique and gets a rude awakening from his first nemesis — the alarm clock. He also shows how gentlemanly Jordan is in this film by rushing out the door and offering tap water to the damsel he’s leaving behind in his bed. 0:00-0:24 : Jordan and Carol Ferris (Lively) establish the tension they’re taking with them into the air with a quick spat about his tardiness before a flight. This provides the context for Reynolds’ most memorable “Green Lantern” line yet: “Let’s get these pants off and fly some planes.” 0:25-0:35 : We get to see Hal in his element flying a jet. He thinks to himself that anything feels possible; of course, that comes just as he’s forced to eject. 0:41-0:48 : Hal Ponders aloud that there’s something good waiting for him over the horizon, and that thought immediately materializes Abin Sur, who proceeds to crash into the Earth. Green Lantern mythos junkies all know that this leads to the passing of the ring. 0:55-1:20 : Abin Sur shows his face briefly before the WB logo reminds us all who’s making this film. It generously passes the spotlight back to Reynolds, however, as Sur explains the responsibility Jordan now has to protect the universe. 1:23-1:28 : Our first shot of Oa appears, as does Sinestro, as the glimpse of Green Lantern society illustrates what Hal’s going to be getting himself into. 1:30-1:40 : A few humbling moments featuring Hal Jordan getting roughed up contrast with a moment of triumph as he summons a big green fist to lay down some justice. 1:41-1:50 : Dr. Hector Hammond debuts, looking as normal as you’re going to see him for the remainder of the trailer. Hal flies around in space briefly, and his fellow Lantern, Kilowog, gets a quick growl in to remind everyone who you don’t talk back to if you serve in the Green Lantern Corps. 1:50-1:54 : Dr. Hammond shows up again looking way uglier than before. Jordan gets the drop on him, but Hammond’s head starts getting awfully large. 1:55-2:05 : Carol tells Hal that he has the ability to overcome fear. This line is immediately followed by a falling helicopter, screaming and Dr. Hammond getting even more veiny and Star Trek alien-looking than he was seconds earlier. 2:04-2:18 : Reynolds summons his inner Van Wilder for a moment to expose himself (in costume) to his friend Thomas Kalmaku (Taika Waititi). Kalmaku gets a little choked up, and Hal simply responds, “I know, right?!” The Green Lantern emblem makes another appearance as Hal says he wants to go look for trouble. 2:19-2:25 : The final seconds close with Hal flying through space full-throttle with the Green Lantern oath being recited in the background. It’s just a trailer, though, so we only get to hear “In brightest day, in darkest night” before everything goes black and the year 2011 slides into view to let us all know when this movie comes out.
