Entourage Casting Bombshell: Seth Rogen Could Have Been Turtle

Just last summer, Seth Rogen found himself in a bizarre public feud with Entourage creator Doug Ellen after an episode of the HBO series in which characters called Rogen’s “ugliness… oddly fascinating” and debated whether a man of Rogen’s looks could actually score a beauty like Katherine Heigl in real life. Shortly after those remarks, Rogen responded by calling Ellin a “moron” and an “a**hole.” Months passed and the feud died down — until this week, when Ellin revisited the rivalry just in time for the show’s seventh season premiere.

Celebrity Hair Nightmare: Katherine Heigl

Katherine Heigl is hot. This has not changed. Her recent hairstyle may be almost as bad as her attitude, however. Yeesh. Check out this sky high bouffant she wore to the London premiere of Killers this week. To be fair, it’s not all Katie’s fault. The star ditched her signature blonde locks to play the main character in the film adaptation of the novel One for the Money . It took some getting used to – for her as well. I was pretty shocked at first… I was like, ‘wow, it’s dark, that’s not just brown, that’s black.’ It took me a good day and a half to totally embrace it,” she said. Do you embrace it, though? Vote below … Which hairstyle looks best on Katherine Heigl?

Eric Dane Ribs Katherine Heigl for Emmy Submission

Katherine Heigl’s self-submission for a Best Supporting Actress Emmy has her Grey’s Anatomy co-star Eric Dane confused: “For what ?” he asked E! Oh, snap. When they replied, “Um, for Grey’s Anatomy ,” he backpedaled and said, “Oh! It’s great! Fantastic! I love it! Why?” If this is Dane’s way of ribbing Heigl for not appearing in much of Grey’s this season (and hating what little she did ), he’s done a pretty good job. That said, Dane himself only has a chance of winning if the Emmys finally open the controversial “Best Naked Cavorting with Rebecca Gayheart” category. [ E! ]

How Ken Jeong Went From Doctor To ‘Hangover’ Villain Mr. Chow

MTV Movie Award winner developed love for stand-up comedy during his medical residency. By Kyle Anderson Ken Jeong shows off his award for “Best WTF Moment” at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards Photo: Steve Granitz/ WireImage With Aziz Ansari hosting and lively personalities like Zach Galifianakis and Les Grossman attending, it was obvious that the 2010 MTV Movie Awards were going to be side-splitting and outrageous (which they were). But perhaps the biggest surprise of Sunday night’s show was that it had moments that were so emotional and heartfelt. Sandra Bullock’s eagerly-anticipated appearance to accept the MTV Generation Award was certainly honest and moving, but who could have guessed that the night’s best tears would come from “The Hangover” star and Best WTF Moment winner Ken Jeong ? During his acceptance speech , Jeong talked warmly about “The Hangover” director Todd Phillips and co-star Bradley Cooper and the emotional support they provided him while his wife, Tran, dealt with breast cancer during the filming of the movie. “The reason why I [appeared in ‘The Hangover’] is that [my wife] taught me that life is short, so don’t be afraid to take chances,” he told the crowd at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles while trying to hold back tears. The chance he took was appearing mostly nude in his key scene in “The Hangover,” a bit of business that was his own idea. Jeong’s road to Hollywood didn’t follow the straightest of lines. He is sometimes referred to as “Dr. Ken,” and that’s not just a fun nickname or a reference to his character in “Knocked Up.” Jeong is actually a physician. He received a medical degree from the University of North Carolina and was a medical resident at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. But along the way, he developed a love — and, more importantly, a talent — for stand-up comedy. After winning a local comedy competition, Jeong moved to Los Angeles to further his stand-up career. His ability to improvise lead to a number of appearances on top-shelf comedy television series, including “The Office,” “Entourage” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” But his career really took off after Judd Apatow cast him in “Knocked Up” as Dr. Kuni, Katherine Heigl’s cigarette-obsessed physician. Once he was embraced by Hollywood’s comedy elite, the roles just kept coming. Jeong scored scene-stealing parts in “Pineapple Express,” “Role Models,” “The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard” and his now award-winning turn as the oft-naked Mr. Chow in “The Hangover.” “There are people who I don’t even know make eye contact with my face,” Jeong told MTV News’ Jim Cantiello regarding his bold nude turn in the film. “They’re always like, ‘Ha ha ha ha ha!’ ” he said while pointing at his crotch. In addition to his MTV Movie Awards win, there’s plenty of other good news for Jeong. His wife (who is also a doctor) has been cancer-free for two years. And Jeong has a handful of films rolling out over the next year, including “Despicable Me,” “Transformers 3” and “The Zookeeper.” He also has a recurring role as Se

‘Shrek Forever After’ Tops Box Office For Third Straight Weekend

Second-place finisher ‘Get Him to the Greek’ was best of the new releases. By Josh Wigler “Shrek Forever After” Photo: Marco Garcia/ Getty Images The Box-Office Top Five #1 “Shrek Forever After” ($25.3 million) #2 “Get Him to the Greek” ($17.4 million) #3 “Killers” ($16.1 million) #4 “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time” ($13.9 million) #5 “Sex and the City 2” ($12.7 million) Even with four major new releases hitting theaters this weekend, box-office supremacy remained in the clutches of the mean green ogre known as Shrek. “Shrek Forever After,” the franchise’s fourth installment, topped the charts with a $25.3 million haul from Friday through Sunday, marking the film’s third consecutive weekend victory. Of the weekend’s new releases, “Get Him to the Greek” performed the best. The raunchy comedy stars Jonah Hill as a young talent agent and Russell Brand as Aldous Snow, the troubled rock star first introduced in 2008’s “Forgetting Sarah Marshall.” “Greek” managed a respectable $17.4 million haul, nearly halving its reported $40 million production budget. Although “Greek” wasn’t able to best “Shrek,” it did manage to defeat “Killers,” the spy-themed romantic comedy starring Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl as a married couple drawn into the deadly world of espionage. The film earned a third-place finish worth $16.1 million. The weekend’s other major new releases, “Marmaduke” and “Splice,” stayed out of the top five altogether with sixth- and eighth-place finishes, respectively. It’s a particularly disappointing finish for the Owen Wilson-starring “Marmaduke,” as the family film was the widest new release of the weekend by a significant margin of over 300 theaters. Rounding out fourth and fifth place were last weekend’s “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time” and “Sex and the City 2.” Upcoming Releases Action is the name of the game next weekend as the Bradley Cooper-starring “The A-Team” and the remake of “The Karate Kid” enter the box-office arena. Friday Box Office: Forever and Ever

Stop me if this sounds familiar: Thanks to some lesser-than-expected dollars from the new releases, Shrek Forever After remained in first place on Friday night and should wind up easily winning the weekend — the Dreamworks hit pulled down $7 million to pace one of the weakest summer fields in recent memory. How weak? Runner up Get Him to the Greek grabbed just $6 million and that was still as much as other new releases Marmaduke ($3.5 million in 6th) and Splice ($2.5 million in 8th) combined . Meanwhile, Katherine Heigl haters rejoice: Killers landed in third with $5.7 million. Imagine how much better it could have done with “The” in the title! The top-five after the jump.
