Military veteran, motivational speaker and soap opera star J.R. Martinez is looking more and more like the man to beat on Dancing With the Stars. Rob Kardashian and David Arquette did well Monday, sure. But there was no touching J.R. and Karina Smirnoff with their sexy, 80s inspired samba. Channeling his Latino heritage, Martinez delivered a samba that was “muy caliente,” Carrie Ann Inaba said. Bruno Tonioli called him a “sex machine” with “so much fire down below” women might hurl themselves off the balcony to get to him. Ah, Bruno. He’s not wrong, though. Watch J.R.’s performance below: J.R. Martinez on Dancing With the Stars (Week 5) Len Goodman offered perhaps the best praise of all: “The next time someone asks me how should a guy dance the samba, I wil say ‘have a look at J.R.’” Is J.R. on a collision course with the Mirror Ball? Or will the voters pull a surprise and send him home early? Who do you think will win this season? Vote in our Dancing With the Stars poll below …
Kelly Clarkson is promoting the heck out of her upcoming album. But the original American Idol isn’t posing for magazine covers or giving an unusual number of interviews. First, there was ” What Doesn’t Kill You (Stronger) .” Then, ” You Love Me .” Now, let’s all sit back and listen to Clarkson croon on “Dark Side.” Everybody’s got a dark side, do you love me? Can you love mine? she asks below… Kelly Clarkson – Dark Side
Kelly Clarkson takes it to an ex-boyfriend in her latest single. The inaugural American Idol champion has given fans their first listen to “You Love Me,” a sample off her upcoming album, “Stronger.” It hits stores on October 24 and this is another strong track about woman-empowerment. “You didn’t let me down, you didn’t tear me apart, you just opened my eyes while breaking my heart,” Clarkson croons on the song. Listen now and then go back and do the same for the first single off the CD: Kelly Clarkson – You Love Me
Kelly Clarkson may be a miss who thinks of herself as independent. And she may not hook up and she may be singing about a guy who is a ” know it all ” these days. But the singer wants to make one thing clear: she’s straight. “People keep saying I’m gay, and I’m not,” the original American Idol tells E! News . “I’m pretty sure I’ve never made out with a girl. It’s just not helping me because I’m straight. No boy wants to hit on me because I make mean songs about them, and they think I’m gay.” Psssst, Kelly: See that Contact Us link below? Call us!
For someone who doesn’t publicly date and is rumored to be a closet lesbian, Kelly Clarkson is always mad at some dude. Kelly’s back with her debut single for her upcoming album. “Mr. Know It All” is decent; it’s one of those songs that probably grows on you over time, but the chorus is catchy enough to get this in the Top 40. Kelly lost some weight and she’s lookin’ good here. Welcome back! I can’t… Broadcasting platform : YouTube Source : poponthepop.com Discovery Date : 26/09/2011 10:22 Number of articles : 2
Singer says influences for her upcoming album, due October 24, include Prince, Sheryl Crow and Radiohead. By Matt Elias Kelly Clarkson on the cover of Stronger Photo: RCA Records In her nearly decade-long career, Kelly Clarkson has kicked out an album almost every two years. But if you’re expecting something predictable from Clarkson’s fifth studio effort, Stronger (due October 24), you’re in for a surprise. While she’s not completely reinventing her sound, the former ” American Idol ” winner counts Prince, Sheryl Crow, Tina Turner and Radiohead among this album’s big influences. Clarkson explained how you get from “Because of You” to Kid A . “It was a lot of soulful stuff,” Clarkson said. “You know what I’m saying? Like, Radiohead is alternative, but they’re very soulful. And Sheryl Crow, very soulful singer/songwriter. So it’s all very soulful, rhythmic pop rock.” “Oh yeah, there’s a little bit of dance,” Clarkson continued. “One of the songs, it’s probably gonna be a single, ‘What Doesn’t Kill You,’ it’s a great song and definitely … that’s the one everybody will be jumping up and down to.” That combination of soul, rock, pop and dance is apparent in the album’s lead single, the ultimate tell-off anthem ” Mr. Know It All .” But what are Clarkson’s other top picks from the LP? ” ‘You Love Me’ is probably one of my favorites,” Clarkson said. ” ‘Honestly’ is another one. ‘What Doesn’t Kill You,’ I can’t wait to perform that live. We’ve already rehearsed it and it’s so much fun. It’s like this big dance anthem. That’ll be the one [that’s] kinda like ‘Since U Been Gone,’ [with] people jumping up and down to [it], and it’s just kind of really inspiring, so I can’t wait to perform that one.” In addition to “You Love Me” and “What Doesn’t Kill You,” we couldn’t help but notice the frequency of the word “you” in the album’s track list, with songs like “Standing in Front of You,” “I Forgive You” and “You Can’t Win.” Add in the album’s title, Stronger, and the clues are there that someone has done Kelly wrong over the past two years. Or at least that’s how it seems. “They’re all different ‘you’s,’ ” Clarkson said. “There’s no common, like, it wasn’t like one, I didn’t have a bad breakup or anything, it wasn’t like that. No I just think life is about relationships, so I always write about all these different ones going on in my life and I don’t really have a filter. So it’s usually very [straightforward].” Related Artists Kelly Clarkson

Tha Carter IV is still #1 despite sharp drop-off in sales. By Gil Kaufman Lil Wayne Photo: C. Flanigan/ WireImage Lil Wayne will make it an easy two in a row at the top of the Billboard 200 chart with Tha Carter IV next week, when the album holds on to the #1 spot thanks to sales of 219,000. After just missing out on moving 1 million copies in its debut, the disc easily passed the mark, approaching 1.2 million even as sales dove 77 percent in the second go-round. Suffering an equally big drop was the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ I’m With You, which lost 75 percent of its first-week business, moving down three spots to #5 as sales reached nearly 288,000. Among the new faces in the top 10 are country giant George Strait , whose Here for a Good Time debuts at #3 on sales of 91,000, and the Beatles ‘ 1, which shoots back into the #4 position thanks to a remastered physical and first-time digital release that helped it move 60,000 units. But the week’s biggest gainer is Maroon 5 ‘s year-old Hands All Over, which has gotten a major boost thanks to a re-released version with the new top 10 hit “Moves Like Jagger.” The disc climbs another 16 slots to #7 as sales picked up by 97 percent to 29,000. The rest of the top 10: Adele, 21 (#2, 121,000), Jay-Z and Kanye West , Watch the Throne (#6, 49,000), NOW 39 (#8, 27,000), Beyonc
Evelyn Lozada swears she is DONE with Basketball Wives. The reason is not because she was neither a wife, nor married to a basketball player. She’s simply fed up and insists no amount of cash will change that. Mmm hmm. Heard it all before. Like Sammi and Ronnie on Jersey Shore , she and the VH1 program always end up back together (and painful to watch). Why is this time (supposedly) different? Sources close to Evelyn say Lozada made up her mind after VH1 posted a blog implying Evelyn cheated on fiance Chad Ochocinco with Terrell Owens. Evelyn is furious and claims the rumor – which apparently surfaced earlier this year and was a point of contention with the network – is simply untrue. She feels betrayed by the network, which has since pulled the blog. Still, Lozada has already decided enough is enough and says she won’t be back. Evelyn is now looking for other opportunities and will focus on planning her upcoming wedding to Ochocinco, according to reports. Thank goodness. [Photo: WENN.com]
