The 40/40 Club Racks Up Violations After NYC Health Department Inspection Last Month The New York City Health Department hit Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club with violations for its faulty plumbing and sewer system and for not properly cleaning surfaces where food is prepared. The latter violation, deemed critical, was among the food prep lapses health department officials found after they inspected the restaurant and lounge Sept. 8. “Food contact surface not properly washed, rinsed and sanitized after each use,” health officials wrote, “and following any activity when contamination may have occurred.” The club – where presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton attended a fundraiser last week – was also cited for a poorly installed and maintained plumbing system that allowed liquid to collect in the kitchen area’s floor. The 40/40’s sewage disposal system is also “in disrepair or not functioning properly,” according to the health department’s inspection report. Despite the violations, the lounge scored nine points, enough for it to earn an “A” rating. Restaurants can get an “A” if they get 13 points or less, a “B” for 14 to 27 points and a “C” for 28 points or more. The 40/40 Club’s latest inspection is a huge improvement from its health inspection last June, when it racked up 55 points – enough violations for a “C” – after officials found evidence of mice, use of banned pesticides and that the club wasn’t properly protected from vermin. The health department also said cold foods weren’t being kept chilled, food was being prepared in a way that it could be cross-contaminated, and kitchen staff weren’t checking if hazardous foods were being prepped and served at the right temperatures. Man Rushes Into Woman’s Home To Remove Her Confederate Flag One Wisconsin man got so fed up with his neighbor’s Confederate Flag hanging in her window in his line of sight that after a heated argument , he pushed her down, stepped over her body into her house, and removed it from the window himself. Via MailOnline : A man in Racine, Wisconsin was arrested last week after shoving a woman to the ground and storming into her home to take down a Confederate Flag she had hanging inside. Tajaun Boatner, 37, has been identified as the man who was arrested for the break in on Friday. The woman who was reportedly assaulted by Boatner called 911 Friday afternoon, after they got into a disagreement at her home on the 1300 block of Center street. In an interview with police, the resident said that Boatner initially asked her to take down the flag, which she had hanging in her kitchen window. She says she agreed and then moved the flag to the bathroom window. But the two somehow got into a yelling match which ended with the resident calling Boatner, who is black, a racial slur. That’s when Boatner allegedly stormed onto the porch, pushed the woman down and then walked into the house to take down the flag himself. Lawsuit Claims Nick Gordon Gave Bobbi Kristina Toxic Cocktail An amended lawsuit filed by the late Bobbi Kristina Brown’s conservator alleges that Nick Gordon gave Brown a “toxic cocktail” and then put her face down in a tub of cold water. Via 11 Alive : The original suit was filed on June 24 in Fulton County Superior Court by Brown’s court-appointed conservator Bedelia Hargrove. It accused Gordon of assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and transferring money from her account into his own without authorization. Brown, the 22-year-old daughter of the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, died on July 26 — months after being found unresponsive in the tub of her Roswell home on Jan. 31. Brown never regained consciousness and was moved to hospice care in June. The amended complaint, filed on Friday, adds a wrongful death count. It alleges that around 6 a.m. on Jan. 31, Gordon returned after “being out all-night on a cocaine and drinking binge.” The suit says that Gordon watched camera footage of Brown and listened to her conversations. Gordon and Brown began arguing in the kitchen. The dispute moved to the living and then upstairs to the master bedroom. Gordon allegedly accused Brown of cheating and called her a number of names, the lawsuit alleges. The argument lasted about 30 minutes and then “everything abruptly became quiet.” The lawsuit then says that Gordon “gave Bobbi Kristina a toxic cocktail rendering her unconscious and then put her face down in a tub of cold water causing her to suffer brain damage.” According to the suit, Gordon then came out of the bedroom wearing different clothes than he was wearing in his argument with Bobbi Kristina, got into bed, laid his head on a female guest’s ankle and said, “Now I want a pretty little white girl like you.” About 15 minutes later, a guest at the home went in to check on Brown and found her face down in a tub. A dust pan was at the bottom of the tub, the lawsuit states. Bobbi Kristina unresponsive, unconscious with a swollen mouth and a tooth hanging loosely from her mouth. Gordon allegedly then came into the bathroom, let the water out of the tub and shouted, “Clean up, clean up.” Others, including Gordon, began efforts to resuscitate Brown and called for medical personnel. Armina Mussa Speaks On Knife Attack Armina Mussa, Solange’s good friend and project director of her St. Heron brand, was brutally attacked last April , sustaining 10 stab wounds outside her New Orleans home. Armina is now speaking out about the attack, specifically rebutting the statements made by her attacker, Arronesia Christophe, who claims in official police reports that she stabbed Armina in self defense with a pocket knife she only grabbed as a last resort. Armina insists that she was brutally and unexpectedly assaulted with a kitchen knife, calling the attack “an act of evil.” “I watched my attacker circle my block before pulling into the shared parking lot of my home…It is evident that this was an act of premeditated violence.” More via NOLA Defender : On April 8, Armina Mussa was stabbed ten times. As the victim underwent surgeries in a battle for her life, the story exploded in the press on account of Mussa’s business partnership and friendship with Solange Knowles. Most reports at the time cited her alleged attacker’s version of the bloody incident. Mussa was in critical condition and providing a rebuttal was the least of her concerns. Last week, she sat down with NOLA Defender to set the record straight. The defendant told police that Mussa approached her car irate. According to her version of the story, despite pleas for Mussa to back off, the victim began screaming, then punching her, until Christophe used a small pocket knife stored in the center console of her car to protect herself. Mussa says this account is simply false, including the reported use of a pocket-knife. She explains, “I was faced with a kitchen knife that the aggressor and trespasser had in her hand while her vehicle was parked in front of my home. When I approached the aggressor and trespasser’s vehicle window to ask that she leave my property, she sat there with her head tilted towards me, while waving the kitchen knife in a malicious demeanor. I then said to her through the window, ‘You need to leave.’ The aggressor and trespasser then proceeded to exit her vehicle and wave the kitchen knife in my face while questioning me aggressively in regards to why she should leave.” The victim continues that she did tussle her alleged attacker, but stresses that she only did so after being threatened with a blade. She states emphatically that she did not hit Christophe, rather she tried to disarm her. Mussa recounted the incident for the Defender. “We began to argue for no more than a minute until I felt extremely threatened and struck. I was afraid to turn my back on an armed, angry, and seemingly violent person. So, I took the initiative to use a forceful handle on her by attempting to take her down and knock the knife free, which unfortunately did not work. The aggressor and trespasser began slashing me with the kitchen knife repeatedly until I was completely weakened and bloody. I backed up. Shocked, I said, ‘Why would you stab me?’ She appeared to have no remorse. I was stabbed from my abdomen up to my head. I then removed my own shirt to stop the bleeding from my head while I shouted my prayers to God so hard before losing consciousness.” “Amongst the extensive physical damage I have endured, coming to peace with myself mentally has unfortunately been a struggle. The accounts that have been circulating regarding what took place made it difficult to carry on.” This story is tragic and very STRANGE…from both angles. We’re glad to hear she’s recovering so well and able to give her own account of what happened that night. Hopefully she will continue to heal.
Dead Neighbor’s Blood Runs Down The Walls Of Oklahoma Man’s Apartment Via NYDailyNews It was a scene straight out of a horror flick. Thomas Kennedy’s wall was bleeding. You read that right, a bleeding wall. But Kennedy wasn’t living the Amityville Horror, he was simply an apartment dweller in the Oklahoma City suburbs. So he wiped the vertical red rivers off and didn’t think twice. “I got a sponge and I wiped it,” Kennedy told Oklahoma TV station KOCO. But the deluge in the kitchen kept on coming. “As soon as I wiped it, it started coming down again,” Kennedy said. Police were eventually called and they gave a surprising diagnosis. “As soon as they looked at it, that’s what they said, ‘This is blood!’ ” Kennedy recalled. HELL NAW, SHAWTY! In it, three rivers of blood flowed down the back of an open cabinet with a half-empty bottle of ketchup and pepper shaker sitting inside. The blood dripped past an electrical outlet and disappeared behind a small countertop backsplash. Police reportedly found an unidentified neighbor dead upstairs. The unlucky individual fell and hit their head, but the death was deemed to be of natural causes, according to Kennedy. He said a biohazard crew stripped his wall down to the studs at Fairfax Apartments in Midwest City, Okla.
