Here’s one of my favorite Olympians Sasha Cohen practicing one of my all-time favorite pastimes: bikini yoga. And I’m sorry, but I don’t know how they haven’t made this an Olympic sport by now. I mean, if they consider ice dancing a sport, why can’t this be one too? Anyway, if the IOC ever does come around, I just hope they pick me to be a judge. Sure, I don’t know the first thing about yoga, and I can’t even touch my toes, but I have years of experience judging women in bikinis. And that’s got to count for something, right? Misty May Treanor and Kerri Walsh Jennings took to the beach volleyball court in London today looking to accomplish a truly astounding feat: Winning three consecutive Gold Medals, all while remaining undefeated overall in Olympic play – and only dropping a single set over the course of three Games. Did the duo complete this goal? They took on the team of Jennifer Kessy and April Ross in the finals, meaning the podium would be filled with Stars and Stripes regardless of the outcome. Stop reading now if you wish to watch that outcome unfold for yourself on NBC tonight… They did it! Treanor and Jennings won the Gold with a 21-15, 21-16 victory that cements their legend as two of the greatest Olympians of all-time. We could have chanted even if they lost, but it feels especially appropriate with such impressive winners on our side: U-S-A! U-S-A!
Kathie Lee Gifford is facing some heavy criticism from fans after strongly implying to Family Circle magazine that parents of drug addicts are failures. The quote in question, from her recent interview: “I’m not a perfect mom, but my kids haven’t been arrested, in rehab or kicked out of school, so I must be doing something right!” Her implication, intentionally are not, is that the parents of kids who have been arrested, in rehab or kicked out of school are not doing it right. Many of Kathie Lee Gifford’s fans are, predictably, far from pleased and telling her off as a result, posting blistering rebukes on her Facebook page. “Well Kathy, here is a pic of my little brother who we lost at the age of 33 yrs old due to a DISEASE called DRUG ADDICTION,” wrote one fan. “I find it funny we were both raised by the same woman called MOM … I am NOT an ADDICT and NEVER was … Poor parenting?? Gimme a break.” Another went right after the talk show host, saying: “Shame on you Kathie Lee Gifford, shame on you. You are a thoughtless human being.” “You know the first thing they teach in counseling for loved ones of addicts? The three C’s; you DIDN’T cause it, you CAN’T cure it, and you CAN’T control it.” “Poor parenting?? I’m glad you never had to face any of your babies drowning in a disease they could not be cured from.” And on and on and on. Kathie Lee – who also made news recently for asking Martin Short about his late wife – may not have meant to suggest this about all parents of troubled children, but she nonetheless did, and she’s hearing about it. What do you think of Gifford’s controversial comments?
I don’t know about you, but if I ever have a party or event that involves cutting a giant fake ribbon, I know the first person I’d call is Playboy hottie Holly Madison . Not because she’s hot and has a great pair or breasts and doesn’t mind showing them off for perverts by posing naked in an obsolete magazine, but because I here she’s really good with oversized novelty scissors. Wait, that doesn’t sound right… It’s got to be because of that breast thing I mentioned earlier.
