But if you thought that meant that George Lopez could not use his likeness in bits recycled straight from NBC, you were wrong. Until Conan makes his cable debut in November, expect more of those pilfered segments and Desi-Lucille comparisons (“A Latino and a redhead. It’s worked before. Desi Arnez and Lucille Ball. [We’ll be a] same-sex Lucy and Ricky!”). The 6 Best Moments of Jimmy Fallon’s Glee Parody

The most amazing part of Jimmy Fallon’s Lost and Glee parodies? Their length. In a medium that is designed for bits that clock in under two minutes, the Late Night host lets these puppies go on for ever . Case in point: The second episode of “6-Bee,” Fallon’s spot-on spoof of Glee , lasts a shade over nine (nine!) minutes. With a running time like that, it’s no wonder there are great moments aplenty. Well, that and the appearance from the entire cast of Parks and Recreation , minus Aziz Ansari. If you don’t have a spare 1/6 of an hour lying around, here’s a running diary of the best parts.

Late Night Highlights: More Tracy Morgan Set Stories, Plus the Misery of David Letterman and David Duchovny

A wave of sadness washed over last night’s 11:35 PM time slot, beginning with David Duchovny’s own brand of malaise that could fill oceans — or at least three segments on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno , where the Californication star discussed his many depression triggers. Meanwhile on CBS, David Letterman croaked through the Late Show , unwilling to let a little laryngitis force him into bed — or as Chris Rock said, “back to that mean wife in Connecticut.” After harping on the host’s sex scandal a few more beats, Letterman finally butted in with, “All right, enough about me and my misery.” Those soulful moments, as well as Luke Wilson’s admission that he is one bad movie away from a cable crime series, after the jump.
