Halle Berry Accuses Gabriel Aubry Of Trying To Change Daughter’s Ethnic Appearance Halle Berry has yet another reason to be pissed off at babydaddy Gabriel Aubry . Apparently, her former flame has been straightening and dyeing Little Nahla’s naturally curly hair — and Halle thinks it’s in an effort to make their daughter look more like a fully-white child. Via TMZ : Halle Berry just took Gabriel Aubry to court … claiming he’s trying to make their 6-year-old daughter white. Halle was furious Gabriel was straightening Nahla’s naturally-curly hair, lightening it with highlights and she is convinced it’s because he does not want the girl to appear to be African American. Halle didn’t show in court Monday morning, but her lawyer Steve Kolodny did, along with Gabriel and after a lot of arguing the judge ruled NEITHER Halle nor Gabriel could change Nahla’s look from its natural state. So the judge is allowing Nahla’s hair to grow back naturally. Score one for Berry. Temporary straightening is one thing (although still suspect if it wasn’t the child’s own idea) but highlighting a 6-year-old’s hair? Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was indicted today for “reckless or negligent injury to a child.” Both Peterson and his lawyer have declined to comment. Peterson missed practice yesterday, but the Vikings say the absence was unrelated to the charges brought against him today. Peterson married Ashley Brown in July and has at least five children from previous relationships, though his exes and others have claimed that he’s fathered as many as seven kids. One of Peterson’s sons died last year after being beaten by his mother’s boyfriend. Peterson found out that he was the boy’s father just two months before his death. The 29-year-old running back led the NFL in rushing in 2012, and very nearly broke the record for rushing yards in a single season. The news of Peterson’s indictment comes on the heels of Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice’s suspension from the league for an assault on his wife, Janay Rice. While little is known about the charges against Peterson, he posted the following tweet today which may be a reference to the charges against him: “People understand that if you are on G-d’s course and suppose to have that position and man decides to remove you know that G-d will remove everyone to place you rightfully! You matter!” “Its your season! Weapons may form but won’t prosper! God has you covered don’t stress or worry!” We’ll have more on this story as it develops. We have an update on the Adrian Peterson indictment . As previously reported, the star Minnesota Vikings running back was indicted this afternoon in Montgomery County on charges of reckless or negligent injury to a child. We can now confirm that the toddler Peterson is accused of abusing is his four-year old son, who was visiting him this summer and who got into an altercation with another one of Peterson’s sons over a video game. (Peterson has at minimum five children with multiple women.) Adrian Peterson Indicted for Child Abuse, Endangerment Through his attorney, the All-Pro says the charges stem from him using a “switch to spank his son,” admitting to this being a disciplinary technique that he’s employed and which was used on him as a child. “This indictment follows Adrian’s full cooperation with authorities who have been looking into this matter. Adrian is a loving father who used his judgement as a parent to discipline his son,” the lawyer’s statement reads. It continues, by way of explanation: “He used the same kind of discipline with his child that he experienced as a child growing up in East Texas. Adrian has never hidden from what happened. “Adrian will address the charges with the same respect and responsiveness he has brought to this inquiry from its beginning. It is important to remember that Adrian never intended to harm his son and deeply regrets the unintentional injury.” According to the official report, the toddler told authorities he has also been hit by a belt and that there are “a lot of belts in daddy’s closet.” Local police say Peterson admitted to them that he administered a “whooping” to the child during his visit to Peterson’s Spring, Texas residence a few months ago. The boy suffered cuts and bruises to areas including his back, buttocks, ankles, scrotum and legs as a result of this beating; his mother took him to a doctor after the child returned home from his visit with Peterson. TMZ has posted photos of the wounds . The police report also lists a number of text messages sent by Peterson to the child’s mother in which he says he “felt bad” for striking his son in the testicles. “Got him in the nuts once I noticed. But I felt so bad, n I’m all tearing that butt up when needed!” the text reads, while a follow-up added: “Never do I go overboard! But all my kids will know, hey daddy has he biggest heart but don’t play no games when it comes to acting right.” The Vikings have deactivated Peterson for their game against the Patriots on Sunday.
In the wake of Justin Bieber getting arrested for dangerous driving and assault in Canada last Friday, two lawyers for this singer have released statements on behalf of their client. As previously detailed, Bieber was driving an ATV (with Selena Gomez as his passenger) when he collided with a minivan and then got into a physical altercation with the driver, who was a member of the paparazzi. Police took Justin in to custody and he’s due in an Ontario court later this month. Justin Bieber Arrest: All the Details Attorney Brian H. Greenspan doesn’t specifically dispute these details, but he does point the finger of blame squarely away from Bieber. “Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez‘s peaceful retreat in Stratford this weekend was unfortunately disrupted by the unwelcome presence of paparazzi,” said Greenspan in a statement , adding: “This has regrettably resulted in charges of dangerous driving and assault. Mr. Bieber and Ms. Gomez have fully cooperated in the police investigation. We are hopeful that this matter will be quickly resolved.” Authorities in Los Angeles are in the process of gathering information themselves because the arrest could violate Bieber’s probation and land him behind bars. After egging his neighbor’s home in January (seriously, what is with this guy?!?), Bieber reached a plea bargain earlier this summer in which he agreed to two years of probation. Any further trouble with the law could violate the terms of this deal. Meanwhile, Justin‘s other lawyer, also blames the photographer for this latest dust-up… as well as the police. “Justin, like many celebrities are continually harassed by police,” Roy Black says. “Their privacy is shredded and these incidents can become dangerous. While the public is not particular sympathetic, they must realize how difficult these cameramen make their lives. “So I am not surprised there is a conflict. It happens quite often, and as long as the paparazzi are highly paid for their photographs, they will continue.” Still, the point must be raised: Bieber isn’t the only celebrity being trailed and photographed by the paparazzi. Family Sues Direct TV For Hiring Registered Sex Offender Cable giant Direct TV is facing a lawsuit from a family who is livid that the company hired a registered sex offender who ended up taking photos of their 12-year-old daughter during an installation service visit. via Huffington Post A Dallas family has sued satellite television provider DirecTV after a man making a service call at their home was found to be a registered sex offender who took photos of their 12-year-old daughter, their lawyer said on Friday. DirecTV said the man had absolutely no affiliation with the company and was brought to the house by a contractor, who has since been fired for violating company policy, spokeswoman Jade Ekstedt said in an email. Wahren Scott Massey, 48, was arrested as a result of the August 2012 incident. Massey pleaded guilty in October to attempted indecency with a child and attempted sexual performance of a child for the pictures he took of the girl. He was sentenced to four years in prison, according to legal documents. The family said in court documents Massey went into a room where their daughter, who was 12 at the time, was alone. The daughter, who is a gymnast, was stretching and said Massey asked to take photos of her on his cell phone with her legs in the air, according to the police report. When Massey left the room, the victim told her mother, who called police. Officers performed a background check on Massey, discovered he had been a registered sex offender in Texas since 1998, and issued a criminal trespass warning. This perv should be ashamed. SMH. It will be an especially merry Christmas for Matthew Richenthal and Katherine Sage this year, very reliable sources confirm to THG exclusively, as the East Grand Rapids couple is expecting its first child. The baby, whose gender will be discovered via Ultrasound in a few weeks, will be the first of its kind for Mr. Richenthal and Dr. Sage. Another week, another set of dates for Andi Dorfman and her bachelors. This week will take them to Brussels where they’ll spend some time in the ruins of a castle. Watch The Bachelorette Season 10 Episode 7 Online Nick starts the week in Belgium by acting like a giant douche when the guys arrive at their hotel and he tells them all, and Chris Harrison, that he’s “tired of these man chats” and says in a camera interview that he’s the one who will end up with Andi and he can’t imagine her choosing anyone else. He gets a comeuppance when Marcus gets the first one on one date card and someone drops the F word. On their date, Marcus and Andi walk around Brussels, sampling chocolates and mussels and seeing the city. Over lunch, he tells her that earlier when he thought about leaving, it was because he was scared of how he felt about her. Marcus is in love with Andi and Andi thinks he’s so romantic . Over dinner, he explains that his father walked out when he was a child and his relationship with his mother was “dysfunctional.” They’ve since worked out their issues, and Andi’s excited about the possibility of meeting his family. Once Marcus returns to the hotel, Nick takes his agitation to the lobby where he pretends to be Andi’s husband so he can get her room number (in a segment that totally was not at all set up by producers. Probably.). Then he knocks on her door and the two go stroll around town making out against lamp posts. Andi calls her relationship with Nick “passionate.” The next day is her date with Josh. She says, at least 20 times, that she really, really needs Josh to open up about how he’s feeling and share his emotions with her and be vulnerable with her. And she can’t compare the relationships, but she really needs to know how he’s feeling. Hey, did you know that Andi Dorfman REALLY needs to know how Josh Murray is feeling?? LIKE. SHE REALLY NEEDS TO KNOW. Josh says that it’s tough because he does have feelings for her, but it’s uncomfortable being vulnerable knowing she’s dating so many other guys. Fair point, Josh. But Andi really needs to know how you’re feeling. When the group date card comes to the hotel, Nick is quick to tell the other guys that he’s just happy to know that there will never, ever be another group date. At that same time, Josh is finally opening up to Andi and telling her that he’s falling in love with her. Oh thank god. Maybe now she’ll stop repeating herself. Or the producers will stop repeating her. On the group date, Andi makes the guys pedal her across the Belgian countryside on a rail bike before taking them to a monastery where there can be no kissing and flirting because, hello, MONASTERY. Where the men who live there are living celibate lives. Then they see the date rose on the table and instantly get their game faces on. Farmer Chris from Iowa gets time with her first and she takes him to a pottery studio just outside the monastery walls. While reenacting Ghost they flirt and kiss. Dirt does look good on him. The guys learn that the one who gets the rose will get a mini one on one with Andi while the other three will return to the hotel. Brian is thrown totally off his game while Nick just uses the opportunity to up his by freaking Brian out. After Brian tells Andi that he’s falling in love with her, Nick gets his turn with Andi and says that he knows she’s falling in love with him and she’s totally not bothered by that at all. Or if she is, she keeps her lawyer face on so no one can read her. Or not. She gives Nick the group date rose which means he’s getting a hometown date next week. At the hotel the guys begin talking about Nick and how he’s definitely not there for all the right reasons and seems to be playing a big game. They can’t determine what his goal is, but they don’t think it’s Andi. They all predict that Nick will make it to the final two and leave her standing there. He finally returns from his date and Brian, Marcus, and Chris lay into him about the way he acts and the things he says. At the end of the day, Nick says he’s not there for anyone but Andi and can’t really worry about what the other guys think of him. Absolutely no one is believing him at this point, audience included. During the cocktail party, Chris tells Andi how much he loves his hometown and how much he wants to share that town with her. Dylan and Brian each take time to talk to her, but Brian’s time is cut short when Nick, who HAS a rose, interrupts them like a cocky jerk. He swears it’s just different with him and Andi, no matter what the other guys might feel for her. Just before the rose ceremony, Chris steals her one final time just to kiss her. SWOON! Before handing out the night’s three other roses, Andi says that the guys standing in front of her make her think that love is real. She’s only giving roses to the guys with whom she definitely sees potential. Those three guys are: Josh, Marcus, and Chris . And Nick , but I’m trying to pretend he doesn’t exist. Brian and Dylan are sad to be leaving, and Andi cries as she says goodbye. Ultimately, she just didn’t see a potential future with them. Hometown dates are next week! We’re one week closer to learning who’ll win Andi Dorfman’s heart!
Kristen Stewart Threatens To Sue Joan Rivers Over Insult In New Book “Twilight” star Kristen Stewart may get the last laugh as she’s threatening legal action against E! Fashion Police host Joan Rivers for comments made in her new book. via Jezebel Kristen Stewart has allegedly gotten litigious with Joan Rivers — does the Twilight malcontent think this is wise? Rivers told paparazzi cameras (via New York’s Daily News and TMZ) that Stewart’s lawyer contacted her lawyer over the comedian’s a passage in her upcoming book, Diary of a Mad Diva. In the humor project which debuts next month, Rivers writes: “Many stars only do one thing well. Of course, the best one-trick-pony is Kristen Stewart, who got a whole career by being able to juggle a director’s balls.” Naturally, Stewart is upset while Rivers says it’s just a joke. “She obviously didn’t read our disclaimer, which is that it’s a comedy book.” Rivers closed by saying Stewart should be glad she isn’t a Kardashian — today, more specifically Khloé — because they’re mentioned “a lot more in the book” as are a number of other female celebrities like Jennifer Aniston, Lena Dunham and Taylor Swift. The 81-year-old comedy veteran also said that she doesn’t care about Stewart’s legal threat, she’s going to keep the controversial passage regardless.
