‘But we’re still best friends,’ Snooki tells MTV News of argument on tonight’s episode. By Christina Garibaldi JWoww Season four of “Jersey Shore” has been jam-packed with a whole lot of drama, from the castmates’ weekly hookups to the almost-weekly fights. You’d think by now we’ve seen everything Italy has to offer, right? Well, think again. As if the infamous fighting match between the Situation and Ronnie wasn’t enough, on Thursday’s (September 22) episode, two of the most unexpected housemates are set to faceoff: Snooki and JWoww. When MTV News caught up with the besties, they opened up about what went down. “When you’re best friends and you’re drunk … sometimes you fight, you know, that’s what happens,” Snooki told us about the fight. Snooki and JWoww take their argument to the streets of Florence after Snooki’s boyfriend, Jionni, abruptly leaves a club claiming Snooki is “embarrassing” him by dancing provocatively. JWoww decides to put Snooki in her place, screaming, “You want a reality check? I just gave you one!” While viewers will likely be shocked to see the two BFFs squaring off, fans should rest assured there’s no lasting fallout from the argument. “Me and Jenni, we just never really screamed at each other like that,” Snooki said. “That was a first, but we’re still best friends.” And JWoww agreed, saying that she and Snooki, who are set to shoot their own reality show , wouldn’t let a little fight ruin their friendship. “Me and Nicole love each other. She is my little sister and I’ll protect her, but there are those moments that we just want to go at it,” JWoww explained. “And the best thing about our moments are they have nothing to do with ourselves. We aren’t actually fighting about each other, we are fighting because external things piss us off. So when we look back, we are laughing like, ‘Dude, why did we do that?’ ” Don’t miss “Jersey Shore” every Thursday at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV! Calvin Harris-produced track is the first release from Rihanna’s forthcoming album, due in November. By Jocelyn Vena Rihanna Photo: Samir Hussein/WireImage Rihanna has been amping up her fans for the release of her new single, ” We Found Love .” In a flurry of tweets on Wednesday, she shared with fans the lyrics to the Calvin Harris-produced track, as well as the single’s cover art. It all led up to the single’s release on Thursday (September 22) morning on Facebook and the radio. As you would expect from a producer like Harris, “We Found Love” is a party-ready track. A synthy keyboard plays as Rihanna sings the opening lines of the song. It’s a pretty sparse dance track that simply plays up her robotic-like vocals, a pulsing beat and a synth sound. The layers of the song are found in her vocals and Harris’ production. On the song, Ri sings about finding that special someone. “Yellow diamonds in the light/ And we’re standing side by side/ As your shadow crosses mine/ What it takes to come alive/ It’s the way I’m feeling, I just can’t deny/ But I’ve gotta let it go,” she sings on the first chorus. The chorus simply features the line “We found love in a hopeless place” repeated four times. On the second verse, she sings, “Shine a light through an open door/ Love and life I will divide/ Turn away ’cause I need you more/ Feel the heartbeat in my mind/ It’s the way I’m feeling, I just can’t deny/ But I’ve gotta let it go.” For the art, Rihanna is punked out in a pompadour, loose-fitting jeans, chains, a denim jacket and chunky boots. She looks fiercely into the camera, arms crossed as she walks through the city. Both Rihanna and Harris are giving the single four thumbs up. “Excited for people to hear the new @rihanna song, i can tell u she sounds like an #angel !” Harris tweeted . After the song dropped, Rihanna had this message for her fans: “*pulls out glow stick*.” “We Found Love” serves as the lead single off Rihanna’s as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2010’s Loud album. The album is set to drop in November. What do you think of Rihanna’s new single? Let us know in the comments! Related Artists Rihanna

The night’s hostess, “Glee” star Jane Lynch, opened the show with a musical number that featured “Star Trek” star Leonard Nimoy and a slew of other stars, like Randy Jackson and Jon Hamm, along with his “Mad Men” crew, singing about the glories of TV and the perils of awards shows. “I know this feels stupid and schlocky and already feels overly long,” Lynch joked in song. Lynch’s “Glee” alter ego Sue Sylvester, in her signature tracksuit, eventually made an appearance, and the hostess did something the show’s fans have been waiting for: She slushied Coach Sylvester. During the comedy portion of the night, “Modern Family” owned, starting with Julie Bowen beating out co-star Sofia Vergara for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. “I don’t know what I’m going to talk about in therapy now; I won something!” she joked. The Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy category was filled with “Modern Family” actors, but it was Bowen’s TV husband Ty Burrell who took it home, joking, “I have a job where every day I go to work in full makeup.” “Welcome back to the ‘Modern Family’ Awards!” Lynch joked when the show came back from break. “We decided to throw them into the drama category just to see what happens.” Charlie Sheen presented Outstanding Lead Actor In a Comedy Series to “Big Bang Theory” star Jim Parsons. Host Jane Lynch plays Donatella Alberghetti Mangiana D’Borgia, a Jersey TV exec who ‘discovered’ the MTV reality stars. By Kara Warner Pauly D in a “Jersey Shore” sketch at the 2011 Emmys Photo: Fox Although we can generally expect the unexpected during awards shows, it’s safe to say that it was especially surprising to see the cast of “Jersey Shore” make an appearance at the 63rd annual Emmy Awards on Sunday night (September 18). Our favorite Seaside Heights crew popped up in a mock “state of TV news” story by Anderson Cooper. He introduced the segment, a spotlight on “prominent TV executive” Donatella Alberghetti Mangiana D’Borgia (Jane Lynch), as if it were a part of his show “Anderson Cooper 360,” and we learned the real story about how “Jersey Shore” came to be. “Thanks to me, now 50 percent of all television is set in Jersey,” Lynch as D’Borgia said, complete with a thick Jersey accent, with Cooper adding in voice over that D’Borgia is responsible for 114 different shows, one of them being “Jersey Shore,” for which she plucked “eight at-risk youths from obscurity and made them stars.” “I was already a DJ when I met her,” Pauly said. “At NPR.” “I found Vinny living in a walk-in freezer in a pizzeria,” D’Borgia revealed. “Now we get paid to drink!” Vinny chimed in with a smile. “Before I met Donatella, I was just Nicole, a Harvard undergrad,” Snooki revealed. “And now, I’m Snooki.” “She’s threatened to kill us numerous times,” Mike “The Situation” added over shots of Lynch’s character threatening the castmembers with violence. “She’s like a mother to me,” Pauly said. “Because she killed my mother.” The segment ended with footage of the crew play-fighting and D’Borgia expressing her undying love for her moneymakers. “Why do I do what I do?” Lynch as D’Borgia said to camera. “Because watching these kids is like Cirque Du Soleil. Freakin’ beautiful, just like Jersey.” Cooper finished off the piece with a stoic sign-off, calling D’Borgia and the “Jersey Shore” kiddos a “sobering look at the future of television.” Don’t miss “Jersey Shore” every Thursday at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. ‘It’s like you being a senior and you’re watching the freshmen come in,’ Wayne tells MTV News before Sunday’s show. By Rob Markman, with reporting by Rahman Dukes Drake performing at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images This time last year Lil Wayne was behind bars as VMA weekend festivities were kicking off — not that his incarceration dampened his spirits. The Young Money CEO had Nicki Minaj and Drake to root for. “I think it meant a whole lot more for me to see them onstage than it means for me to even be onstage this year, because I know they want this so bad and this is what they do it for,” Wayne said of his artists’ 2010 VMA moments versus his own involvement this year. Last year, Nicki performed “Check It Out” with will.i.am during the VMA Pre-Show, wearing in a cotton candy-colored wig and form-fitting purple catsuit. Her YM cohort Drake had a hell of a night himself as he partnered with Swizz Beatz and Mary J. Blige to give a Frank Sinatra-inspired big show performance of his Thank Me Later single “Fancy.” Wayne’s musical director Gil Smith promises a ‘rock star’ performance. This year, while the Harajuku Barbie and Drizzy are scheduled to attend, it’s Wayne who’s planning a major moment. Not only is his “6 Foot 7 Foot” up for Best Hip-Hop Video , but Weezy will perform and then release the digital version of his long-awaited Tha Carter IV LP when the clock strikes midnight . Still, for Tunechi, watching his Young Money team participate is rewarding enough. “They’re young, they’re fresh, and it’s beautiful to them,” Weezy said. “It’s like you being a senior and you’re watching the freshmen come in and enjoy the light. You remember, man, I remember being a freshman — that was amazing … to see them do that, I felt relieved like, ‘This is what it is all about, this is what it’s for.’ ” What are you hoping Wayne performs at the 2011 VMAs? Tell us in the comments! The 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards will air live Sunday, August 28, from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles at 9 p.m. ET/PT, following the Selena Gomez-hosted pre-show at 8.
