Pop singer posts video message inviting fans to ask her questions. By James Dinh Lady Gaga Photo: Anita Bugge/ Getty Images Lady Gaga has always found creative ways to interact with her fans, and her latest idea is no exception. On Tuesday, the pop titan took to YouTube to post a video message inviting her Little Monsters to ask her questions in an upcoming Google interview. Standing against a brick wall, Gaga greets her fans in the beginning of the black-and-white video, saying, “Hello, Little Monsters. This is Lady Gaga on the road at the Monster Ball. I wanted to let you in on the news that I’ll be doing an exclusive Google interview using one of their tools called the moderator, which allows you guys to ask me all the questions that you want. “Do you have something that you always wanted to know about me or maybe you have questions about my fashion love or even the kind of things I search for on Google. Well, now is your chance!” she continues in the clip. Fans can participate in the interview by heading to the singer’s YouTube channel and submitting videos or written questions. While on the singer’s page, they can also vote for the questions they want to hear the most. In addition to the video network, fans can tweet their questions using the hashtag #GoogleGoesGaga. Fans have until the end of the day Friday to submit their entries. “I’ll post the video interview with all my questions next week, so stay tuned. I’ll let you know when it goes up, and remember, you’re all amazing and I love you so, so much. I’ll see you soon. You were born this way,” she concludes with her monster growl. As of Wednesday (March 16), some of the most popular submissions included everything from pre-fame bullies to backstage tour stories. “You said that in school a lot of people bullied you and didn’t like you,” one fan wrote. “Now that you are famous, have any of them tried to ‘apologize’ and become friends? If so, what did you say to them?” “What do you do with all the T-shirts, stuffed animals, letters, hats and other monster gifts you receive?” asked another fan. Before she graces the MTV studios Thursday for “RapFix Live,” the Brooklyn rap diva isn’t slowing down her relentless attacks on Nicki. The 15-minute “Carbon Copy,” called “a documentary expos

Collaborators Laurieann Gibson and Fernando Garibay discuss new clip. By Jocelyn Vena Lady Gaga Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” video is a dark sci-fi thriller about birthing a new race of non-judgmental people. Gaga’s Little Monsters have been consuming the Nick Knight-directed, Laurieann Gibson and Haus co-created clip at epic proportions. The visual spectacle is part fashion shoot, part alien horror flick, and all Gaga. MTV News rounded up some of Mother Monster’s collaborators — her choreographer (Gibson) and Born This Way musical director Fernando Garibay — to talk about the meaning behind the visuals. “This is the first statement and the opening statement of this Born This Way album,” Garibay explained. “When she played it for me, it took me a while to find out the visual interpretation that I could give back to her. And so I woke up one night and I got it, and I said, ‘I got it: We have to birth a new race,’ ” Gibson recalled. “From the gate, Gaga was like, ‘I want Nick Knight for this video. I want a visual.’ She was always birthing something visual in her head, and Nick Knight is just, well, he’s prolific but he’s so genius.” The video, complete with its messages about acceptance and love, fit with the theme of the song. “To write, particularly a dance record, I think dance records are the most hardest songs to write,” Garibay explained. “But to write a statement within a hit record, I think is the holy grail, and I think she was able to do it this time.” Gibson recalls having to work with Gaga on the dancing in the video. “It took two days, and when Gaga was making the album, she wanted it to be in New York. We shot the video in Brooklyn over two days. We had to hide the location,” she said. “To get her to be a better dancer, it’s just a process of getting it out of her and getting her confident. So I just told the story of the record. There’s lots of pushing and birthing. There’s lots of punching the adversity. It’s very symbolic.” “We were just blown away, of course,” Garibay said of seeing the video be made from beginning to end. “It’s amazing. Her talent, I mean, she’s so talented, but in combining the imagery, the dance and how it’s expressed with the song is truly amazing … It’s of cultural relevance, and hopefully helps people that are an outcast, bullied. Hopefully makes people aware that it’s OK to be yourself.” Gibson admitted there was one main goal with this video: “It was about pushing the bar of what a music video should be and can be,” she said. “It’s a different time; it’s a different era; there are no limits. It is a viral message. I think that there’s something in there for everyone, and that’s what’s so amazing about the video and so specific about the message.” Give us your review of the “Born This Way” video in the comments below! Lady Gaga Fans Expecting ‘Born This Way’ Video To Be ‘Fabulous’

‘She outdoes herself each time,’ one Gaga fan tells MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena Lady Gaga Photo: Dimitrios Kambouris/ WireImage Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” music video premieres on Monday (February 28), and the star’s dedicated legion of Little Monsters cannot wait to see what their Mother Monster has up her sleeve in the Nick Knight-directed music video. When MTV News spoke to a small grouping of Gaga’s loyal fans, they revealed what they think might make the final cut of the video, which was a collaboration between Knight, the singer’s Haus of Gaga creative team and choreographer Laurieann Gibson. A fan named Emily guessed that the clip might seek some inspiration from Gaga’s stark, egg-y Grammy Awards spectacle earlier this month. “Maybe kind of like her Grammy performance,” she pondered. “I don’t know. I have no idea. You never know what the hell she’s gonna come up with.” “She outdoes herself each time and each time she uses a different director,” Leslie Perkins said. “And each time is beyond the last one. I’m expecting nothing less than fabulous.” Cayley couldn’t quite put her finger on what the video might look like. She explained, “I don’t know! I can only imagine!” Mon Cherie and her pal, Pam Kitten, figure that something somewhat shocking will probably come of it all. “There’s not much more of an egg, hon!” Mon Cherie joked. “She comes out of an elephant poop! I don’t know! Nothing shocks me. Lady Gaga — whatever she do is fantastic.” Some of those same fans recently dished to MTV News about what the song “Born This Way” means to them as Gaga ushers in a new phase of her career. “Do what you want to do!” Mon Cherie previously noted. “I mean, keep it real, keep it safe and keep it legal, but you got to do you, hon.” Lisa explained that the tune “means no matter what you are, who you are, who you want to be, you just can’t help it, because you were born this way.” Meanwhile, Gaga revealed during a recent visit to “The Gayle King Show” that she also plans to put out a second “Born This Way” video. The singer said that clip, which will accompany a stripped-down version of the song, “will be released on iTunes.” She added that “a portion of the money raised selling the song [will] go towards an anti-bully charity.”

The birth of a new race that doesn’t bear any prejudices. I think the most important thing is that I continue to grow, and I knew when I put [out] ‘BTW’ it would be a transitional moment, because it doesn’t sound like [my previous singles].” Are you excited for the “Born This Way” video? Sandra Bullock, Jeff Bridges and Oprah Winfrey also will hand out Academy Awards on Sunday. By Aly Semigran Scarlett Johansson Photo: Frazer Harrison/Getty Images With the countdown to the 83rd annual Academy Awards in its final phase (there’s just five days left until the big night), there’s still news coming out about the ceremony: It was announced Tuesday morning (February 22) that actress Scarlett Johansson and funny man Russell Brand will attend the 2011 Oscars as presenters. Johansson, who appeared in last year’s hit “Iron Man 2” and is currently filming Cameron Crowe’s upcoming “We Bought a Zoo,” has recently been the focus of the media attention due to her divorce from actor Ryan Reynolds. Meanwhile, Brand, who wed singer Katy Perry last year and stars in the upcoming “Arthur” reboot with Helen Mirren, tried out his own style of edgy comedy during his hosting stint on the MTV Video Music Awards in 2009 and just this month on “Saturday Night Live.” This will mark the first Oscar appearance for the “Get Him to the Greek” star, who joked on his Twitter page Tuesday, “I am presenting an Oscar. I shall also choose the recipient. At last my work as Aldous Snow will be honoured, for best actor-ing.” Brand and Johansson will join fellow A-list presenters Sandra Bullock (last year’s Best Actress recipient will hand out this year’s Best Actor trophy), Jeff Bridges (2010 Best Actor winner to hand out the Best Actress award), Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Robert Downey Jr., Hugh Jackman, Reese Witherspoon, Cate Blanchett and Marisa Tomei, as well as two of this year’s Best Actress nominees, Nicole Kidman and Annette Bening. Lady Gaga Inspires Fans At Madison Square Garden Show

‘She’s god! This little monster loves her mommy!’ one fan told MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena Lady Gaga performs at Madison Square Garden on Sunday Photo: Kevin Mazur/WireImage On Monday night, Lady Gaga’s little monsters put on their best Gaga as they headed to Madison Square Garden for Mother Monster ‘s latest stop at the famed New York City venue, where she was making her first of two appearances. The fans were not only treated to her Monster Ball, but also got the chance to see Gaga’s new single “Born This Way” live and be part of Gaga history as she taped the concert for an upcoming HBO special . So, what stood out most? “When she gave her little speech about never letting someone tell you can’t get a Grammy [or] you can’t get an HBO special,” Gaga fan Leanna told MTV News outside the show, moments after Gaga wrapped up. “I cried because it was just so meaningful … it’s like no one can tell me no.” Fellow fan Carey noted that Gaga is always thinking of her fans when she puts on her two-hour-plus spectacle. “I always feel like it’s catered to her customers and her fans,” he excitedly shared. “Go little monsters!” Casey noted that being in the room as Gaga performed “Born This Way” was awe-inspiring. “I mean, it’s her hometown and she just reenacted the Grammy performance,” she said. “It’s f—in’ beautiful.” It seemed that particular song really resonated with the fans who came out to see Gaga. “My favorite was the last song, ‘Born This Way.’ To me, it’s a great anthem for kids today, or anyone for that matter,” Gaga fan Tony said. Evie and her pal Cecelia also loved the finale. “I loved ‘Born This Way’ at the end,” Evie said. “It was perfect. It was the perfect ending.” And two of Gaga’s New York fans summed it up this way: “She is our religion,” Danielle proclaimed. Her pal Joey agreed, adding, “She’s god!
