The 6th of June 2012 is the day my dream came true. I knew Justin was in London so my friends and I decided to go there and have a look around. We were up there for a while and it wasn’t going well, I kind of gave up looking so we went to KFC for something to eat. That was when we saw a picture on Twitter of one of our friends who had just met him. I literally felt like crying. I said, “That’s it, I’m never going to meet him, I give up.” My friends were trying to cheer me up but I just couldn’t bring myself to believing that I would meet him. I then received a DM on Twitter telling me where Justin was. My friends and I ran there and just missed him, we then ran to the next place he was apparently going to and waited for about 10 minutes, there was still no sign. I then received another DM telling us where he was, so again we ran to the radio station he was at. There was about 20 people waiting and he was inside. The wait felt like forever, I had so many emotions going through my stomach just thinking…what if. Justin then came out, I burst out crying, he was going down the line getting pictures with fans. As he was getting closer and closer to me I just kept crying and crying. I had my camera ready, I was shaking. I was next to get a picture, he stood in front of me and leaned in for a picture. I tried taking it but I was shaking too much. Justin thought I took the picture and he moved on, I didn’t take it as I still couldn’t get over he was in front of me so I said, “Justin it didn’t come out!” with tears rolling down my face and my voice breaking. He turned around and said, “IT DIDN’T?!” in a shocked voice but he was smiling at me. He leaned in and I took the picture, this time it came out. As he got pictures with my other friends, I was just standing there staring at my picture, I couldn’t believe it had finally happened. I then saw Justin starting to sign things. I grabbed my ‘Seventeen’ magazine out of my bag and held it in my hands. About 5 autograph hunters put all their pictures over my magazine and was pushing me. Justin came back up to me, and he pushed all their pictures out the way and signed my magazine. I started crying yet again and after he left I hugged my friends so tightly and was struggling to breathe. Still to this day I look at my picture and smile so much. I am so grateful and I always will be. Thank you Justin, for everything . Dreams are possible, don’t give up. I was so close that day to giving up and I couldnt ask for a more perfect turn out. Brandi Chastain has responded to Hope Solo’s Twitter criticism of her recent commentary for ESPN, defending her comments as part of the job. Chastain, who rose to fame during Team USA’s 1999 World Cup win, pissed off Hope with her critique of America’s performance at the Olympics. Specifically, Chastain said defender Buehler actually needs to improve on her defense, a comment she stands by as both objective and honest. Chastain said in a statement: “My only comment is I am in London to cover women’s soccer for NBC in an honest and objective fashion, and that is what I have done, and will continue to do for the rest of the tournament.” Solo, who turned 31 yesterday , said “it’s too bad we can’t have commentators who know more about the game” and told Brandi to “lay off commentating about defending and goalkeeping until you get more educated.” If Solo’s comments have been any distraction to the team, you wouldn’t know it. They’re on the verge of beating North Korea to improve to 3-0.

The victory ought to be especially sweet for Wieber, who was left in tears on Sunday after she failed to advance to the final round of the individual competition. Skyfall also stars Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Javier Bardem, Ben Whishaw, Helen McCrory and Judi Dench. Bardem takes his turn playing Bond’s nemesis and even sports a blond-do. The film opens in November in the States. Official synopsis: Daniel Craig is back as Ian Fleming’s James Bond 007 in Skyfall , the 23rd adventure in the longest-running film franchise of all time. The American Idol judging carousel has now stopped at Nick Jonas and Pharrell Williams. Following the rumor that Brad Paisley was under serious consideration to join this panel on Season 12, Us Weekly has now presented fans with a new scenario: Randy Jackson will be moved to mentoring status and both these young artists will slide in next to Mariah Carey behind the critical desk. “Nick is pretty close to signing to be the Idol judge,” one insider says of Jonas . “They flew him in to L.A. last week for final meetings.” Jonas, of course, is very good friends with new X Factor star Demi Lovato. He even played a duet with Lovato during a concert in Los Angeles this month. Producers reportedly think Nick and Pharrell – who has produced hits for Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and Gwen Stefani – can bring a younger demographic to Idol . We had no idea the demographic had grown above 14. Which of these two options would have you more excited to tune in next year?

The London Olympics are great for so many reasons, most pertaining to the incredible athletic competition among a moving cross-section of humanity. The deluge of Kate Middleton pictures is also great. The unofficial face of the host nation is setting even more fashion trends than usual this week. Her latest? A cute, blue Smythe Navy One Button Blazer! Kate wore the item at the Cross Country Equestrian event – where Prince William’s cousin Zara Phillips actually competed for Great Britain – Monday (above). Kate Middleton fashion followers may recall that she also was seen in this same blazer at Heathrow airport and on her trip to Canada in Summer 2011. Clearly it works for her … as if anything doesn’t.
