When Bobbi Kristina Brown was found unconscious in her bathtub, the scene reminded many of the fashion in which her famous mother lost her life, and there was speculation that the troubled 21-year-old had intended to commit suicide. Now, Jerod Brown – Bobbi’s cousin and confidant – is revealing that nothing could be further from the truth. Jerod says Bobbi Kristina did intend to follow in her mother’s footsteps, but only in terms of her music career. “She was excited about what was about to take place,” Jerod tells E! News. “We were all excited…She was ecstatic about her new journey that she was embarking on…She was ready to do this and to let the world see what she was working on.” Jerod adds that Bobbi had finished recording a track called “Guilty of a Love Song” that she was preparing to release in the weeks before her accident. “That record was going to touch the world,” Jerod says. “To her, it was a very personal song of what her love life was about.” It may be discouraging to hear Jerod speak of Bobbi in the past tense, but he says she’s “still fighting” and her family remains hopeful. Bobbi Kristina opened her eyes earlier this week, but doctors say that may not be a sign of improvement.
