American Idol is minus another judge. Somebody’s getting fired… The American Idol season finale pulled in a pitful 13.61 million viewers last week. In comparison Last years finale pulled in 21.49 million. In years past the season finale regularly drew more than 30 million viewers. Oh well it had a good run. On to the next one.

Nick Cannon Quits Radio Show After a successful two years, Nick Cannon announced today that he will be stepping down from his nationally syndicated Top 40 radio show, ‘Cannon’s Countdown.’ Since the show’s premiere on April 23, 2011, the Top 40 countdown show has been broadcasted by CBS Radio stations and syndicated nationally by Cumulus Media Networks every weekend. Featuring a mix of music and celebrity interviews, the show has been available in a four-hour version for CHR pop/rhythmic stations and a three-hour edition for urban stations. “I am extremely grateful to have had a broadcast home with CBS Radio. Based on a new report, Mariah Carey will soon have plenty of time on her hands. She and her fellow American Idol judges are expected to be let go by Fox very soon after Season 12 concludes. And just what will the superstar do after her failed stint on the panel of this singing competition? “Due to the smash success of ‘#Beautiful,’ fans are clamoring as Mariah makes plans for a world tour,” an insider tells Us Weekly of Carey and her new single. To date, “#Beautiful” has hit number-one in 25 countries and the top five in 45 others. Mariah – who is yet to speak on the rumors of her Idol demise – has not gone on a global tour since 2004. In 2010, she played shows in America, Egypt, Brazil and Singapore. Yesterday, meanwhile, The Backstreet Boys announced an upcoming tour in honor of their 20th anniversary as a group.
