Sex and the City 2, Little Fockers Named Worst Movies of 2010 by Top Critics

Over at Vulture , fifty top film critics — including Movieline’s own Stephanie Zacharek and Michelle Orange — have voted on the worst movies of the year. The winner? Sex and the City 2 , of course! Wrote Stephanie : “Positing itself as a fun girls’ night out, an escapist fashion fantasy, this Manolo-hoofed monstrosity gave us only crass consumerism of the lowest order, a parade of brand names masquerading as style and failing miserably.” Other films on the list: Furry Vengence , Grown Ups , The Last Airbender and, shockingly, Black Swan . It would be a critics’ list without some controversy! [ Vulture ]

Please Help Find Tom Hanks’s Rapping Son Chet a Better MC Name

Tom Hanks’s son Chet, a proud Northwestern University student (just like Mamie Gummer !), is an even prouder rapper. The undergrad’s Facebook bio claims “his nights consist of absolutely murdering tracks, and living what he is really spitting,” and I cannot call shenanigans there. I do, however, protest the MC name “Chet Haze.” Listen to his rhymes and help offer new names after the jump.

15 Suggested Titles for the Next James Bond Movie

It looks like James Bond will return after all ! At least until the next delay. Assuming, though, that MGM can be taken at its word — and assuming we’re all still around and not sucked into the vortex of an apocalypse in 22 months — 007 will arrive at theaters on Nov. 9, 2012 with Daniel Craig reprising his role as James Bond for director Sam Mendes. Hooray! The currently untitled film is going by BOND 23, which would be fine if this were a trendy bar and not a movie franchise. Ahead, Movieline offers some foolproof title suggestions.

DVD: The Best Colin Firth Performance You’ve Probably Never Seen

As awards season kicks into high, and pundits and audiences alike unpack their adjectives to describe Colin Firth’s performance in The King’s Speech , it seemed like the right time to mention one of his wonderfully charming and funny turns that was barely seen in this country — his starring role in Fever Pitch (out of print on DVD but available from Netflix ). No, not the Drew Barrymore/Jimmy Fallon Fever Pitch , although both films were based on the same novel.
