Finally, we Fitz calls Olivia and tells her he plans to deny Sally’s story and bring Mellie back to the White House. Oregon authorities said last night that they would not immediately, publicly confirm the victims' names in the Umpqua Community College mass shooting. But they have identified the name of their killer. According to multiple reports, Chris Harper Mercer, 26, went on the rampage that killed 10 and injured many more on the Roseburg, Oregon, campus. Further identifying details were not released. Eyewitness Kenneth Ungerman recalled seeing a young man in jeans with a gun; NBC News confirmed that four firearms were found on the scene. “I heard, ‘Bang! Bang!'” Ungerman said. “I looked over and I saw this guy with a hand gun and I dropped to the ground,” he horrifyingly adds. “That’s when I started hearing screams.”
Now that Pope Francis has returned to the Vatican, Taylor Swift is the only person in the US that millions of fawning worshippers view as infallible. But just as left-leaning Catholics were let down by news that the Pope visited Kim Davis , so too might many Swifties feel that they’ve been forsaken when they learned that Taylor appears to have lied to her fans. Earlier this week, it was reported that Taylor purchased a Hollywood Hills mansion formerly owned by iconic movie mogul Samuel L. Goldwyn for an astonishing $25 million. Taylor denied the claim yesterday, tweeting: “What the press says I’m doing: Buying a Bev Hills mansion, getting married in an English castle. What I’m doing: Playing a show in St. Louis.” Unfortunately for Taylor, TMZ did some digging and according to property records , earlier today, the title to the estate changed hands from the seller to a company that’s headquartered in Nashville. The owner of that company? You guessed it – Taylor Swift. So does Taylor simply have so much money that she’s not even aware when her employees make a $25 million purchase in her name? If so, she desperately needs to fire her management team. What’s more likely is that Taylor simply didn’t want the public to know she bought the home, either out of fear of paparazzi and fan stalkers, or because purchasing wildly expensive mansions all over the country kinda ruins her girl-next-door image. Kristen Stewart and Alicia Cargile have broken up, according to a new report saying that the actress and her assistant girlfriend hit a rough patch. Reports of Kristen Stewart dating Alicia Cargile emerged earlier this year, despite the Twilight star’s carefully cultivated persona of wanting privacy. It certainly felt like Kristen was slightly open about the fact – or at least not denying – that she was in a lesbian relationship with her close confidant. They were often seen very cozy with one another, holding hands, cuddling, etc., and Kristen even spoke – gasp! – about how close they’d gotten. One tabloid even went so far as to report that the couple secretly married , citing a quote from Stewart (allegedly overheard proclaiming as much). That was clearly absurd, but still, the two seemed like they were involved in a legitimate romance … until reports surfaced this week that it’s over. Media reports claim that Kristen put the brakes on her relationship with Alicia and they split; the couple hasn’t been seen together in weeks now. Yesterday, we reported that Cathriona White committed suicide . The 30-year-old makeup artist, who appears to have overdosed on prescription pills was known to the public as the on-again, off-again girlfriend of actor Jim Carrey. Though the couple reportedly broke up for a second time just days before White’s death Carrey issued a statement about Cathriona that makes it clear he had the utmost affection and respect for his ex: “I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona,” Carrey said. “She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled.” Though White quite evidently took her own life, her case is being investigated by police in, as is the customary in the case of unnatural deaths. Radar Online reports that Carrey was questioned by police this morning : “He wanted to provide as much information about what he knew about Cathriona’s final days,” says a source close to the investigation. “She had been battling with depression, which she had apparently had since she was a teenager. “Obviously, Jim was extremely emotional during the meeting. They had recently broken up, again. They were just at different places in their lives, and there was a big age difference…There is absolutely no evidence of foul play, and this is a routine follow-up in cases of suicide.” Meanwhile, because we live in the Internet Age, a cloud of idiocy has formed over this tragedy, as members of the anti-vaccination movement have taken to social media to speculate that Cathriona was murdered by the government in order to silence Carrey. You see, Carrey is an outspoken anti-vaxxer (nobody’s perfect), and the popular theory within the movement that anti-vaccine doctors have been murdered by government operatives has led many to the conclusion that White was killed by “big pharma” in order to “shut Carrey up.” Seriously. We are tempted to refrain from criticism here, because if this summer has taught us anything, it’s that Farrah will attack you physically .
