It’s Time for Conan to Move On [Late Night Wars]

Yeah, Conan, we get it. You got screwed out of a job. Now that your ill-advised interview on 60 Minutes is over, it’s time to lay that to rest before your fans begin to turn against you. More

Holly Madison’s Breasts Are Spectacular

Here’s Playboy bunny Holly Madison at mayor Oscar Goodman’s launch event for the Camp Vegas summer camp. I don’t really know what any of that means, but if there’s some sort of summer camp out there that has Holly as one of it’s camp counselors I want to be there. I have trouble sleeping in bunk beds so she may have to spend the night with me to help me feel safe, and I’m a bit of a night groper so some upstairs work might come into play. Do I need a parent to sign me up or can I do that myself? more pictures of Holly Madison here

White House Correspondents’ Dinner Yields Lame Leno, Funny Obama, Kim Kardashian and Justin Bieber Sighting

While President Barack Obama deals with rumors of an affair with Vera Baker , he got to take the night off from scandals, debates and politics in general at yesterday’ White House Correspondents’ Dinner. The annual event brings celebrities together with politicians, as a comedian is chosen to host the evening and the President always takes the stage to poke fun at himself and his opponents. President George W. Bush caused controversy in the past by actually making fun of the fact that he and his administration never found weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. We went to war for misguided, false reasons! Hilarious! Last night, though, Obama kept his routine mostly safe, but altogether hilarious. First, he yanked MC Jay Leno’s chain: “I’m glad that I’m speaking first because we’ve all seen what happens when somebody takes the timeslot after Leno’s.” He then moved on to John McCain,” who “recently claimed he had never identified himself as a maverick,” said the President. “And we all know what happens in Arizona when you don’t have ID.” Leno, of course, was his typical lame, unfunny self. He delivered such gems as referring to Michelle Obama’s anti-obesity campaign as “Leave no child with a bigger behind.” Spotted on the red carpet were such stars as Kim Kardashian and Justin Bieber (who posed together! yikes!), Jessica Simpson (who said she really admires Michelle Obama as “a powerful woman), Jessica Alba, the Jonas Brothers and more. Quipped Bill Maher: “It’s great to mingle with America’s real intellectual heavyweights. I saw the Jonas Brothers, Justin Bieber , Jessica Simpson, Ryan Seacrest – I can’t wait to talk politics.” [Photos: Splash News]

The 7 Funniest Jokes From Barack Obama at The White House Correspondents’ Dinner

Add Barack Obama to the list of people funnier than Jay Leno. While the president brought his B-minus game to the open mic night that is the White House Correspondents’ Dinner — never mind the massive oil spill in the Gulf that threatens the environment or the car bomb in Times Square that threatens national security, what’s the deal with airplane food? — Leno could barely muster a chuckle from the assembled political luminaries, wonky nerds and Hollywood stars. It got so bad, he was even forced to pull out the “this is a tough room” card, the mating call of every bombing hack comic. And oh, the multimedia jokes: All that was missing was ” Monkey Picks the YouTube Clip .” Thank goodness then for President Obama, who made the night more than tolerable. After the jump, the president’s seven best moments. Try the veal!

And, despite the show biz mantra about never working with kids or animals, animal-lover White would love the chance to do just that. “I have no idea what I’m going to be doing. I haven’t talked to anybody. I hope I’ll be with some kind of animals,” she said. “They’re the other half of my life. They always get my calm and tone me down.” The episode with have many past female cast members coming back to make an appearance, and it leaves the fate of the male cast members up in the air. But, White is certain she’ll find someone to flirt with on set. “I hope not! But if there isn’t any, I’ll hit on every member of the crew!” she joked. “I’ve always had a bawdy sense of humor.” What could Jay-Z and Betty White do together on “SNL” (besides the “Single Ladies” dance)? Lady Gaga Pre-Tapes ‘American Idol’ Performance

‘You’re my little monsters, and you’re the reason we all work so hard for our dreams,’ Gaga said from the stage at the Nokia Theatre. By Eric Ditzian Lady Gaga (file) Photo: Kevork Djansezian/ Getty Images While the viewing public tuning in to “American Idol” on Wednesday night caught Siobhan Magnus getting the ol’ heave-ho and Rascal Flatts, Shakira and Lady Antebellum taking the stage, one performance at the Nokia Theatre didn’t make it on to the small screen: Lady Gaga’s . After Wednesday evening’s elimination show wrapped, Gaga took over the Nokia to pre-tape an “Idol” performance set to air at a later date. But audience members were still holding steady in their seats, and many have since committed their thoughts and reporting to the Web (stop reading now if you want to experience the Gaga-tude spoiler-free whenever the perf hits the airwaves). By all accounts, it was a predictably massive undertaking, requiring an hour to re-set the stage, the introduction of a giant fire-spewing angel and three full performances of a “Bad Romance”/”Alejandro” medley. “I just want to say thank you,” Gaga told the crowd before launching into the number a third time, according to a write-up on EW.com’s PopWatch blog. “You’re my little monsters, and you’re the reason we all work so hard for our dreams.” The taping got started directly after the end of the live show. The “Idol” crew wheeled on that huge metallic angel, two black metal trees and a few park benches built of bloody razor blades. “[T]he entire set looked like the S&M version of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ meets the cemetery scene from ‘Phantom of the Opera’ populated by half-naked nymphs from ‘Midsummer Night’s Dream,’ ” reported Zap2It.com . The first run-through was Gaga-free — just the band and her backup dancers. Gaga joined in for the second go. “There were eight hard-bodied male dancers scantily clad in what looked to be black Spanx — each guy wore a black glove as well,

American Idol Recap: All Aboard the Shania Twain!

The Shania Twain pulled into the station this week, and two American Idol finalist sent a message to Crystal Bowersox: This isn’t over yet! Okay, it probably is. Bowersox didn’t hurt her standing as the clear season nine favorite last night, but Siobhan Magnus and Casey James both stood out during country night. We rank the six contestants’ performance below: James : He was asked to mix it up, to do more than just rock out with his guitar, and Casey came through this week. He chose the ballad “Don’t!” and really showed off his voice. Easily the best male remaining in the competition. Magnus : On “Any Man of Mine,” Siobhan hit every note and then some. Never lacking for range or repeating the same performance from week-to-week, her originality is probably all that stands in the way of Crystal and the season nine title. Michael Lynche : Big Mike channeled Luther Vandross for “It Only Hurts When I’m Breathing.” With all the guys choosing slower songs, Lynche gets the nod over every dude by Casey because he connects so well with the audience. Bowersox : The judges didn’t love her acoustic take on “No One Needs to Know,” but let’s face it: any performance would have paled compared to ” People Get Ready ” from last week. Lee DeWyze : Still could end up in the final pairing, but not if he has to sing any more country songs. Just looked uncomfortable trying to make “You’re Still the One” into his own. Aaron Kelly : This should be an easy choice. We didn’t expect Aaron to make it this far, but it’s time to send him home. Who was your favorite performer of the night?
