911 Is A Joke: Feds Pop 10 Crooked A$$ Atlanta Police Officers For Helping Drug Dealers Supply Yayo To The ‘Hood!

Maybe these guys are some of Ricky Rozay’s BFF’s Atlanta Police Arrested In Drug Dealer Protection Investigation Via AJC Federal authorities announced the arrest of 10 metro law enforcement officers Tuesday on charges of arranging protection for a street gang’s drug deals. “Obviously the breadth of the corruption is very troubling,” said U.S. Attorney Sally Yates . “It is certainly the most (officers) this office has charged in a long time.” The case began as a street gang investigation by the federal bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, whose undercover agents learned that gangs had officers on the payroll for protection, Yates said. The FBI took command of the public corruption aspects of the case. At least one officer recommended that the gang use a school parking lot to exchange drugs for cash because trading backpacks there would not look suspicious, Yates said at a 2 p.m. news conference. The law enforcement officers arrested today were: Atlanta Police Department Officer Kelvin Allen, 42, of Atlanta; DeKalb County Police Department Officers Dennis Duren, 32, of Atlanta and Dorian Williams, 25, of Stone Mountain, Georgia; Forest Park Police Department Sergeants Victor Middlebrook, 44, of Jonesboro, Georgia and Andrew Monroe, 57, of Riverdale, Georgia; MARTA Police Department Officer Marquez Holmes, 45, of Jonesboro, Georgia; Stone Mountain Police Department Officer Denoris Carter, 42, of Lithonia, Georgia, and contract Federal Protective Services Officer Sharon Peters, 43, of Lithonia, Georgia. Agents also arrested two former law enforcement officers: former DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office jail officers Monyette McLaurin, 37, of Atlanta, and Chase Valentine, 44, of Covington, Georgia. The report goes on to say… Some of the officers were retired and some were active duty. The highest rank was sergeant and the payoffs ranged as high as $7,000 per transaction. Each transaction involved at least five kilograms of white girl, which carries a 10 year minimum sentence, Yates said. Officers were involved in multiple transactions, provided escorts to dealers and buyers and offered to provided muscle if necessary to protect their clients, Yates said. Yates said the investigation is ongoing and declined to say whether more officers would be arrested. ATF Special Agent in Charge Scott Sweetow would not name the street gang involved but he suggested the public corruption aspects would be more far-ranging. “I can say this is probably not the last you will be hearing of this case,” he said. Hate Crimes: 3 Men Prosecuted In California For Attack On Interracial Couple Because “A White Man Was With A Black Woman”

This is sad, but unfortunately a reality that we still deal with daily in America’s society… According to Sacramento Bee: Federal prosecutors in Sacramento are once again taking on what they describe as a particularly flagrant hate crime. An indictment returned Jan. 16 by a grand jury and unsealed last week accuses three Yuba County men of an unprovoked attack on a couple because the man is white and the woman is black. The indictment charges Perry Sylvester Jackson, 27, Billy James Hammett, 28, and Anthony Merrell Tyler, 32, all of Olivehurst, with one count of conspiracy and two counts of beating the couple in 2011. The charges are grounded in the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act, a 2009 amendment to a statute that criminalizes violence motivated by race, color, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender or gender identity. Jackson, Hammett and Tyler were arrested by FBI agents last week and pleaded not guilty before U.S. Magistrate Judge Dale A. Drozd. Heading the case for the government is Assistant U.S. Attorney R. Steven Lapham, a supervisor in the U.S. attorney’s office and one of its top prosecutors. At a hearing Friday, Lapham clashed with defense lawyer Mark Reichel over whether Jackson should be free on bail pending trial. After a protracted hearing, Drozd ordered Jackson held without bail to “ensure the safety of the community.” The strictures of the federal Bail Reform Act of 1984, juxtaposed with Jackson’s history of violence, made it “a difficult call,” the judge said. Hammett’s attorney did not challenge Lapham’s request for detention without bail, and Drozd granted it. He ordered Tyler released on a $150,000 unsecured appearance bond. Hate crimes have been a priority of U.S. Attorney Benjamin Wagner going back to his days as a line prosecutor who handled a number of them and who was the office’s hate-crimes coordinator. Hate crimes, Wagner said Monday, “are intended to send a message of intolerance and instill fear in a larger community. Consequently, it is important that they be aggressively prosecuted and people in the community see that something is being done.” As to the Yuba County case, Wagner said, “In our view this is a pretty egregious incident, and the district attorney up there agreed that a federal prosecution may have a greater impact. “Depending on the circumstances, punishment is generally more severe in federal court,” he explained. In his bid to keep Jackson locked up, Lapham told the judge that a hate crime is random, spontaneous and often occurs so suddenly that a victim is overwhelmed without warning, the prosecutor said. Hate crimes tend to be more violent, Lapham said, because they are not meant to temporarily incapacitate. More often than not, he said, they brutally inflict serious, sometimes lasting injuries. SMH. We must stop this unnecessary violence.

School Bus Driver Shot in Alabama, Hostage Situation Continues

A horrific scene went down yesterday near Midland City, Alabama, as a shooter opened fire inside an elementary school bus, killing the driver and kidnapping a six-year old passenger. According to a local ABC affiliate, the incident took place around 3:30 p.m. when the culprit demanded the driver release the child into his custody. When the driver refused, the suspect – later identified as Jimmy Lee Dykes – shot him, grabbed the kid and fled the scene. He then took the six-year old hostage behind a local church. As of 11:50 p.m. last night, Dykes had yet to surrender or release the child, leading to the following statement from the Dale County Sheriff’s Office: “The Dale County Sheriff’s Department has established a command post location at the intersection of 231 North and Private Road 1539 in Dale County, Alabama following a shooting. Multiple agencies are present assisting with the incident. Selena Gomez: Out for Revenge Against Justin Bieber!

Selena Gomez has made no secret that Taylor Swift is one of her very best friends. Now, according to a new report, the artist may be taking a page from her BFF… which could mean BIG trouble for Justin Bieber. “Justin was so mean to Selena that she can’t wait to spill all the sh-t about him in her new songs,” an insider tells Hollywood Life. “All his flirting and all his bullsh-t are on the table.” Selena and Justin split right before New Year’s, after an argument in Mexico resulted in the stars flying back to Los Angeles separately. Bieber, of course, has mostly enjoyed a sterling reputation in the eyes of fans, but various recent stories have called that into question; led, of course, by the Justin Bieber smoking pot incident.” Concludes this Selena source of what the public may soon hear: “Her fans will be shocked about how much of a badass she can be when she’s out for revenge.”

Casey Anthony: Bankrupt!

Casey Anthony filed for bankruptcy Friday. In 2011, Anthony was found not guilty of murdering her two year-old daughter in a trial that riveted the country. Not surprisingly, the trial left her nearly broke. Responding to the bankruptcy filing, the attorney representing Zenaida Gonzalez in her defamation case against Anthony called it a mere delay tactic.  “We are not deterred and will stay the course,” said Matt Morgan of Anthony’s Chapter 7 Bankruptcy, which reveals $1,084 in personal property. Compared to $792,119.23 in liabilities. That’s a lot of debt, and sure enough, Casey Anthony provided a list of nearly 100 people and companies who have claims or possible claims against her. They include her former attorney Jose Baez for $500,000, the IRS in the amount of $68,540 and the Orange County (FL) Sheriff’s Office for $145,660.21. Even her own parents are listed, albeit without an amount. “This is the next step towards closure for me,” Anthony told CBS affiliate KPHO. “These are the things holding me back. This is the key for me to move forward.” Charles Greene, the civil attorney defending Anthony in the Gonzalez lawsuit, told the station “Casey hoped the case would be over in January.” “This has been a battle for five years. Emotionally and physically, she can’t go on for another year. She needs a clean slate from a financial perspective.” The goal of the bankruptcy is to give Casey a fresh start financially, said Greene, who added that his client has no financial windfall projects pending. “There are no contracts, no movie or book deals,” he said.

Squatter Living in Florida Mansion … Legally

Andre Barbosa is living the dream. The 23-year-old has been crashing at a vacant mansion in Boca Raton, Fla., for free – and it’s all legal. Say what now? Boca Raton Squatter Using an obscure Florida real estate law to stake his claim on the foreclosed waterside property, Barbosa is legit squatting. The police can’t move him. No one saw him breaking into the house, so it’s a civil matter. Representatives for the real owner, Bank of America, are “following a legal process.” Not surprisingly, the situation is driving his neighbors crazy . “This is a very upsetting thing,” said neighbor Lyn Houston. “Last week, I went to the Bank of America and asked to see the person in charge of mortgages.” “I told them, ‘I am prepared to buy this house.’ They haven’t even called back.” Barbosa, according to reports, is a Brazilian national who refers to himself as “Loki Boy,” presumably after the Norse god of mischief. He did not return calls. He has reportedly posted a notice in the front window naming him as a “living beneficiary to the Divine Estate being superior of commerce and usury.” A spokeswoman for Bank of America said her company has sent overnight a complaint and an eviction notice to a clerk in Palm Beach County. Still, it’s unclear how quickly (if at all) the matter will be resolved. Barbosa is invoking a state law called “adverse possession,” which allows someone to move in and claim a property’s title if they can stay there seven years. A signed copy of that note is also posted in the front window. Soon after Bank of America foreclosed on the property in July, Barbosa notified the Palm Beach County Property Appraiser’s Office that he was moving in. Police were called to the home, which was empty for 18 months, but did not remove him. He presented cops with the “adverse possession” paperwork. The law stems from the days when most people lived on farms; whomever moves in to occupy the property must do so in an “open and notorious manner.” The deed is currently valued at $2.5 million, according to county records. The county appraiser’s office lists the total market value at $2.1 million. Hey, you might as well squat in style.
