By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber Photo: MTV News & Docs While MTV News has been following Justin Bieber all around Manhattan as he promotes his new album, My World 2.0, earlier this year, his life was being documented by a camera crew for a new special about him, airing this weekend. On Sunday at 7:30 p.m. ET, fans can get a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to be the teen idol in MTV’s “The Diary of Justin Bieber.” In one clip from the special, Bieber is lying on his back with his backup singers all around him doing vocal exercises by singing the phrase “I know” over and over again. In another clip, Bieber, his backup singers and Sean Kingston groove and practice their track “Eenie Meenie” before Bieber sings his part all on his own. In other clips from the show, Bieber is seen on a promotional tour for the album performing for various crowds and even playing a little basketball during his downtime. When asked how he finds inspiration for his love songs, he tells a reporter that anyone can find and experience love at any time. “It’s weird when people say, ‘You’re only 15,’ because I know I am only 15, but at the same time I think at any age you can experience love,” he said. “Whether you’re 80 or 5, you’re always gonna … I don’t know. There’s a difference between love and being in love, because you can love someone but not necessarily be in love. Alberto Alvarez: Dr. Conrad Murray Stopped CPR on Michael Jackson to Hide Propofol

Bodyguard Alberto Alvarez is making a shocking accusation against Dr. Conrad Murray, saying the doc halted CPR on Michael Jackson to hide vials of Propofol. Alvarez, who called 911, told cops months after Jackson’s death that Dr. Murray hid bottles of Propofol in a closet so that family and police wouldn’t find them. He told police he saw Dr. Murray running around the room hiding Propofol bottles in a closet near the room where the doctor administered the drug to Jackson. This adds fuel to a prosecution theory that he covered up evidence . According to Alvarez, Dr. Murray stopped doing CPR and handed Alvarez drug vials, instructing him to put them in a bag. Alvarez says he saw an IV in Jackson’s leg. He notes that Dr. Conrad Murray took Propofol vials and told Alvarez to put them in a plastic bag, then told Alvarez to put the plastic bag inside a canvas bag. Alvarez also says Murray told him to remove the IV that contained a white milky substance (Propofol) in another canvas bag. Where the bags went is unclear. Jackson’s mouth and eyes were wide open but there was no sign of life. He was taken to the UCLA Medical Center where he was pronounced dead on June 25. Alvarez also says that MJ’s kids, Prince Michael and Paris, entered the room and cried as they watched Murray administer mouth-to-mouth on the lifeless star. And there’s this: After Jackson died, Murray said he needed to go back to the mansion to get cream Jackson had “so the world wouldn’t find out about it.” Sources connected with Murray’s defense say he hid nothing. Authorities found bottles of the anesthetic in what looks like a secret compartment of the closet. Those sources say Alvarez’s statement came two months after Jackson died and directly contradicts what the bodyguard told the police the day of MJ’s death. Murray sources say Alvarez never said anything about hiding Propofol at the scene. Dr. Murray told cops two days later where Propofol bottles could be found. Law enforcement sources believe Murray connected a large bottle directly into the IV and a massive amount, which entered Jackson’s system and killed him.

I’m scared of her, actually. She is the one. I don’t know if I’ll be able to take her down but she’s going to be hot and sizzling. She’s gonna do her thing.” Scherzinger herself has also made quite a career out of being sexy, but fans tuning in week after week expecting Scherzinger to turn up the hotness for the show may be surprised — that’s not her thing this season. “Not at all! I will leave the sexy part to Pamela Anderson! Because she’s the hottest chick out there,” she gushed. “For one, I never tried to be sexy or anything — for me the music’s what brings out that sensuality. I’m just gonna be myself.” Not only will Nicole be Nicole, she also plans to just have a good time while out there with partner Derek Hough. “[I’m] just gonna have fun with it. In the show I’ll be able to connect with everyone in a completely different light. “With this show, I feel like people are so used to seeing me in a certain light — they think they know me, but they don’t,” she added . “I just want to connect with everyone out there in a completely different way. ‘The Diary of Justin Bieber’ airs on MTV Sunday at 7:30 p.m., but you can get a new preview right here! By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber performs in Paris Photo: MTV News & Docs Justin Bieber is hard at work promoting his new LP, My World 2.0, this week, with appearances on “The View” and “The Late Show With David Letterman” on Tuesday (March 23, the day of his album’s release) and he’s performing at Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday. But on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. ET, fans can get a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to be Justin Bieber in MTV’s special, “The Diary of Justin Bieber.” In a new sneak peek from the special, Bieber performs his single “Baby ” at a radio station while wearing a winter hat. He then performs the song for a crowd of girls in an intimate setting — they knew every word as he told the crowd to “bounce, bounce.” And finally, he performs it in front of a bigger crowd, where he also tells the audience to bounce, gets up close with them, and finally causes a frenzy by tossing his baseball cap into the crowd. In another clip, Bieber is seen playing guitar and singing his My World song “Favorite Girl” to a crowd that knows every word. Has The World Had Enough Of Paris Hilton?

The world may have had enough of Paris Hilton . Sources say the socialite has been trying to pitch a new reality TV show to network executives. But nobody is interested. The program would show Paris – who shot to fame in The Simple Life – as she gets engaged and marries boyfriend, Doug Reinhardt . One insider told the New York Post that she’s been on TV constantly since 2003 and that the public may be saturated with Paris. A spokeswoman for hotel heiress Hilton, 29, denied the show was in the works.

Kelis Takes Her Dance Hit ‘Acapella’ To Winter Music Conference

Singer, who hits WMC 2010 later this week, says ‘Acapella’ is a ‘really great song to perform.’ By Steven Roberts Kelis Photo: MTV News When Kelis ‘ newest single, “Acapella,” topped the Billboard Dance & Club Songs chart earlier this month, it was the singer’s first chart-topper since 2003’s “Milkshake.” Oddly enough, it started as just a Dave Guetta beat she had lying around and a melody she couldn’t quite get out of her head. “I’ve known Guetta for a long time just as a DJ in France, just partying in Paris and just being out there,” Kelis recalled. “I didn’t even know he was doing a record until a friend of mine sent me some beats, and he was like, ‘Guetta would love for you to write something for his album.’ I just started writing to a bunch of them, and I just heard this beat, and there was no melody to it. It was just a beat. I just had this melody that came to me right away, so I just laid this melody down really quick and just forgot about it and kept moving and doing stuff.” Kelis said she listened to it every day in the studio and tried to write something to it. She said “Acapella” eventually came to her. She never expected much would come of it — especially not a #1 record. “I knew that I loved it, and I felt really good about it,” she said. “It’s exciting to see that people feel what you feel. That’s always encouraging. But I had no idea that that would happen that quickly like that. I just knew that the song felt really real for me.” “Acapella” is the lead single from Kelis’ newest album, Flesh Tone. The album, which she expects to be released in June, is her first under Will.I.Am’s Will.I.Am Music Group. Kelis worked with the Black Eyes Peas head honcho on her previous record and was impressed with his musical IQ. “There’s not a song you can mention or an era you can mention in music that he doesn’t know about or understand what made it that,” she marveled. “I think it’s key in trying to do something fresh. It just felt comfortable and felt right, and I haven’t been a part of a group since my first, second record [with the Neptunes].” She is also looking forward to performing the track at the Winter Music Conference in Miami later this week. “It’s great, because I think ‘Acapella’ is a really great song to perform, and for some reason my first singles are always a nightmare to perform live,” she laughed. “And this is actually really fun.” Stick with MTV News for more coverage of the WMC 2010, which kicks off Tuesday in Miami. Star Jones Recovering After Heart Surgery

Jones, best known for her long-running stint as a co-host on “The View,” underwent treatment as a follow-up to surgery she had 30 years earlier. “On Wednesday, March 17th, a pre-planned cardiac surgery was performed on Star Jones,” representatives for Jones told People magazine in a prepared statement. “This recent surgery is a follow-up to the thoracic surgery she had 30 years ago. The procedure was successful, and she is recovering well with her family. Star is grateful for everyone’s thoughts and prayers.” In the days leading up to her surgery, Jones, 47, hinted about her upcoming plans on Twitter . “It’s clear that God is trying to tell me something and I plan to listen,” she tweeted March 14 in response to a religious service she had attended earlier in the day. “I have a deadline to meet, personal matters to see to and several reasons to celebrate. So starting today, it’s 10 days of focused faith for me.” Following seven days of silence, Jones returned to Twitter on Sunday to thank her fans for their support in light of the surgical procedure. “Thank you for all the good wishes and prayers I feel them all,” she wrote. “By the way who knew ice chips could taste like steak!” Earlier today, Jones addressed the recent passage of health care reform, tweeting : “Can you imagine me trying to recover without health care? Those who voted against it need to [hang] their heads in shame.” Last week’s operation is the latest high-profile medical procedure for Jones, who underwent gastric-bypass surgery in 2003, resulting in a weight loss of 160 pounds. Jones celebrates her 48th birthday on Wednesday.

With one album released last November, My World, and with another out Tuesday, the aptly titled sophomore release My World 2.0, Bieber is the new reigning teen heartthrob in the pop world. Many MTV viewers were introduced to Bieber last September as fans vied for the chance to get a shout-out from him at the Video Music Awards. And when the competition closed, Tricia Matibag was declared the winner and Bieber gave her big ups at the big show, where he later presented an award with Nickelodeon star Miranda Cosgrove. After gaining a bit of momentum and just weeks after releasing his debut album, a mall appearance in Long Island, New York, was canceled after fans stormed the mall for a chance to see Bieber in person. He later rang in 2010 performing on Dick Clark’s “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve,” and presented at the Grammy Awards a couple months later alongside fellow pop newbie and overnight sensation Ke$ha. He then performed at BET’s “SOS: Help For Haiti” telethon with stars like Wyclef Jean and Diddy who also helped to raise funds for Haiti earthquake relief — he also appeared on the “We Are the World” remake for the same cause. His fame isn’t relegated to North America, though — much like the mall in Long Island, Bieber caused a riot in the streets of Paris , where he was scheduled to make an in-store appearance. He also very famously met up with a crying 3-year-old fan for a segment on Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show. Bieber will release My World 2.0 on Tuesday. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Rya Backer Justin Bieber performs on “The View” on Monday Photo: ABC While the crowd inside “The View” studio on Monday (March 22) was full of women who traveled from all over to hear the opinions of the show’s five hosts, the crowd outside the studio was mostly full of teenage girls hoping to either get inside to see Justin Bieber perform or, at the very least, catch a glimpse of him leaving the studio. How long had they been waiting? “Well, since 1 o’clock [Sunday], but then we went home and took a break, but then we saw people here at 10 o’clock at night so then we came down and that’s when we started waiting,” April Augostineloi told MTV News. “We’ve waited for so long, we went to the Roosevelt Field Mall. We never go to see him. We’ve only went to one concert … and the concert was amazing and we really hope we get to see him. We really like him a lot.” Another fan, Amanda Pine, also waited hours to try and see Bieber on the show. “Well, I would bust out crying,” she shared, adding that she too missed out on a chance to see him at the mall. ” ‘Cause we waited at the mall for 22 hours and we got inside and when they said it was canceled, we just busted out crying.” Cassidy Mavros said that she had been waiting to see Bieber since 4 a.m. “He’s hot!” she exclaimed. “I will cry. We’ve been here since 4 this morning. We got up at, like, 2 [a.m.].” Lauren Famiano may have been on line earlier, if she and her pals hadn’t gotten lost on their way to “The View” studios. “I’m gonna cry. We’ve been here since 2 o’clock in the morning and we got lost here, so I hope we get in. We got here at like, 6:30, but we got lost in the city,” she explained. “So we had to find our way here.” Another fan, Stephanie DaSilva, added that if she didn’t get into the show she would “flip out … I woke up mad early for this. I told my teacher I would be here.” “Well, it’s my birthday on April 19, so I came all the way from the Philippines to see Justin Bieber,” fan Clara Giron explained. “I saw it on the Internet. I dragged my mom. I told my mom I’m going to see Justin Bieber here. I’m lined up. I’m starting to cry now.
