‘Harry Potter’ Stars Impressed By Theme Park’s ‘Total Immersion’ Experience

‘It’s not even odd,’ Daniel Radcliffe says of seeing the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. By Terri Schwartz The cast of “Harry Potter” at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter opening Wednesday Photo: Gustavo Caballero/ Getty Images ORLANDO, Florida — Magic was seemingly everywhere on Wednesday night, at Universal Orlando’s grand opening celebration for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter . The theme park doesn’t officially open to the public until June 18, but Universal brought in the stars of the film and conductor/composer John Williams to kick things off with a bang. Though many of the stars of the “Harry Potter” films have come to see the park over the past several months, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Tom Felton, James and Oliver Phelps, Bonnie Wright, Matthew Lewis and Warwick Davis were given a special tour of Wizarding World’s many attractions on Wednesday so they would be primed to speak about them. “It’s not even odd,” Radcliffe said about seeing the world he spent the past decade working on in film represented as a real place in hot and humid Orlando. “It’s absolutely fantastic. I couldn’t be more impressed.” There was some debate amongst them as to which of the three rides in Wizarding World was the best. Radcliffe and Grint said the twin roller coasters in Dragon Challenge were their favorite, while Lewis, Wright and the Phelps loved Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey . And there was an even divide over which was better: regular or frozen Butterbeer . The stars seemed most impressed by the amount of detail making Hogwarts and Hogsmeade come to life, creating an experience they couldn’t even have on the movie set. “It’s just total immersion into the world,” Lewis said. “In 100 years, it’s still going to be here. It’s a little weird for me.” “It’s kind of the beginning and ending. It’s kind of surreal,” Wright said of the park’s opening coinciding with the end of filming of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” earlier this week. “All the little memories we have, now other people can have them as well.” The actors said they loved the rides, which include two roller coasters (Flight of the Hippogriffs and Dragon Challenge) and a visual experience (Forbidden Journey). It was the first roller-coaster ride for Davis. Grint shared that his coaster-riding technique was to hold on for dear life, while Felton said that he keeps his hands in the air, screaming for his life. Radcliffe had a very specific procedure: Make sure the harness is extra tight; try to keep his eyes open for as long as possible, and make the longest, most prolonged scream possible. When he gets off, his experience isn’t complete unless all his hair is swept to one side. Though she did not speak to the press and was kept well hidden at the event, “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling did make an appearance at the grand opening. Williams conducted the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra in a special presentation of the various themes he had written for the “Harry Potter” film series. In the end, the stars seemed to think Universal had left no magical stone unturned in the creation of the Wizarding World. All of them, that is, except Warwick Davis. When asked what he thinks Universal should add to the park, he responded, “Something involving Professor Flitwick. Or Griphook the goblin, perhaps.” Are you planning to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter? Tell us what you’re excited to see in the comments. Jennifer Lopez Doesn’t Give Up…Even Though She Should of the Day

J.Lo just doesn’t give up…but she should…cuz there comes a time in every woman’s life where trying to reaffirm your sex appeal is pathetic and almost sad to watch. She married something out of a horror movie and had his kid and I guess realized that that doesn’t do it for her, but instead the eyes of men around the globe, fascinated with her ass was really the only thing she needed…too little too late…. Here she is slutting up her disgusting mom body at some event cuz she forgets she’s a mom and remembers being a slut since being a slut is what made her who she is…you know way further than the vagina ripping birthing process did…. Some bitches think their kids are the best thing that happened to them…you know their proudest moment….that life-changing experience that put everything in perspective and taught them what as actually important…but for J.Lo that happened with “Jenny From the Block” Album….cuz she’s a self-righteous cunt….and here she is showing off her body…holding the fuck on to whatever overrated trash she once was…. Bonus – Camilla Alves was there in some rubber lookin’ dress…Something she wasn’t wearing when Matt McConaughey knocked her up multiple times… Pics via Fame

Halle Berry Touches Her Toes and Shows Off her Twat of the Day

I spent the better part of my morning watching a pussy in sweatpants…Sure they weren’t these standard grey bullshits but were actually a pair of Yoga pants that made the ass look like it was on a 20 year old with a tight round ass – depsite being on a 30 year old in the park doing her morning stretches that ended in some kind of meditation I was tempted to interupt by shoving my cock down her throat….I figured I wouldn’t get in trouble cuz I already knew every noon and cranny of her cunt thanks to the pants being jacked the fuck up…so I thought it was only fitting to post pics of Halle Berry trying to do the same hustle….. She has a boring white mom ass that she pretends is black despite the awkward shape of the shit cuz it wins her Oscars and makes her big money but anyone who knows asses can tell that this is a suburban mom ass who works out and not a gutter ass from the projects but I still like to stare at it like it’s some kind of interracial couple, that I guess it probably is….you know one big identity crisis….but not as big of an identity crisis her 75% white and high society baby is gonna feel when it sees momma play black on TV… Pics via Fame

Bafana continues winning streak 1-0 over Denmark

By Nthambeleni Gabara Pretoria- Bafana Bafana continued their winning streak by beating 36 ranked Denmark 1-nil at the Lucas “Masterpieces” Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville on Saturday. The goal was courtesy of Mamelodi Sundowns striker, Katlego “Killer” Mphela, who has been in fine form since Bafana began their FIFA World Cup preparations. It was Mphela’s 14th goal for the national team. Today’s victory extended Bafana’s winning record to 12 unbeaten matches. It was visible from the beginning of the match that the home team was full of confidence and hungry for a victory. Duo Siphiwe Tshabalala and Kagisho Dikgacoi sent a fantastic cross to unmarked Teko Modise in the box in the 28th minute which showed that the Danish defence had run out of steam, however, the Orlando Pirates playmaker headed the ball wide. Bafana looked good in the first half and kept ball possession and when they controlled the ball in the middle of the park, they continued to dominate, while the visitors lagged behind. In the second half, the Danish players tried to take control but lost focus. Reneilwe Letsholonyane had a chance with the ball after brilliant moves by teammates Tshabalala and Modise and unleashed a grass cutter 28 metres from the box, but Anderson was well-positioned to palm the ball away. In the 76th minute the Danish keeper brilliantly saved a close range shot from Mphela. In the dying minutes of the game, Bafana’s number one goal keeper, Itumeleng Khune denied the Danish team an equalizer. He saved a close range shot, which drew loud applause from the hundreds of fans that were present at the stadium. A delighted Carlos Alberto Parreira who has pledged to make South Africans proud during the World Cup said a win against another World Cup qualifying team shows that his boys are ready for the tournament. “To me this is a special win because we’ve just defeated an experienced side with full of quality players. We played with confidence and personality. The path that we took to prepare the team for the tournament proved to be the right one today. “This is a job well-done for the players and I am happy about their performance and the good results. We are ready to fight for our position at the World Cup. Everybody has to respect us,” he said. The team’s skipper, Aaron Mokoena, said it was a tough match for Bafana, but their victory boosted their morale. Source -BuaNews 2010 World Cup Blog for the Fans

Aziz Ansari Handicaps The MTV Movie Awards

‘I vote Christoph [Waltz] all the way,’ host says of ‘Inglourious Basterds’ star’s Best Villain nod. By Kara Warner, with reporting by Eric Ditzian Aziz Ansari Photo: Jesse Grant/ Getty Images With the 2010 MTV Movie Awards getting closer and closer to showtime (roughly four days and a few hours left to go!), we thought it would be a good idea to check in with the night’s esteemed host, Aziz Ansari , to see how he’s handling the pressure, what he’s preparing and, most importantly, who he thinks deserves to win. On getting the call to come host the show, the “Parks and Recreation” star admitted he was “excited,” yet “stunned all the people in ‘Twilight’ weren’t available.” Speaking of the famed vampire-centric franchise, Ansari said that he’s been watching the films as part of his preparation. “I watched ‘Twilight’ a bunch, ‘Avatar’ 400 times,” he said. “I’ve been stalking Daniel Radcliffe, whatever I can do to get those movies in my head.” He’s also been doing a lot of writing for the show, adding, “I want to make sure all of my short films meet the high bar met by previous hosts.” Regarding the potential winners, Ansari had some pointed opinions, particularly with the Best Villain and Best Comedic Performance categories. “I gotta throw my bit behind Christoph Waltz [“Inglourious Basterds”],” he said of the Best Villain race. “That was an incredible performance. I vote Christoph all the way.” Ansari also mentioned a character that was overlooked in that category. “In ‘The Blind Side,’ did society get nominated as Best Villain?” he joked. “That’s my vote: society. Or poverty.” So who would get up and accept that award? “I think we all would have to get up and get that award,” Ansari responded. The funnyman’s pick for Best Comedic Performance was slightly more challenging, especially since we pointed out that he wasn’t nominated in that category himself. “I know, I guess they looked over me,” he said, unfazed. “I’d have to go with Robert Pattinson in ‘Remember Me’ for that category. … No, I was a big fan of Zach Galifianakis’ performance in ‘The Hangover.’ He’s been around for so long. He’s never had the opportunity to be funny in a movie like that, and they gave it to him, and he knocked it out of the park.” Ansari ended our chat with suggestions for new categories, including Why the F— Did They Make This Movie and Best Piece of S— Performance. Oil Spill Hits Land in the Gulf (NEW PHOTOS)

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/04/30/louisiana-oil-spill-2010_n_558287.html The Huffington Post has updated their stream of photos coming in from the Gulf to include the latest in clean up efforts and images of the oil hitting land. For the latest photos, check Greenpeace's photostream on Flickr. The organization has had a crew of photographers, activists, scientists, and clean-up volunteers based in the Gulf for weeks. http://www.flickr.com/photos/greenpeaceusa09/ This oil spill is on track to become the worst oil spill in history, surpassing the damage done by the Exxon Valdez tanker that spilled 11 million gallons of oil into the ecologically sensitive Prince William Sound in 1989. Unlike the Exxon Valdez tragedy, in which a tanker held a finite capacity of oil, BP's rig is tapped into an underwater oil well and could pump more oil into the ocean indefinitely until the leak is plugged. Oil hitting the coastlines poses a serious threat to fishermen's livelihoods, marine habitats, beaches, wildlife and human health. added by: captainplanet71
