Zachary Quinto: Naked on Instagram!

Zachary Quinto delivered a late Easter present to his fans and Instagram followers today when he posted the naked photo below for all the web to enjoy. Sure, his private bits are obscured by the water (we’re guessing Zach did a few takes to make sure he didn’t post anything that would get him flagged), but given his cultish army of adoring fans, we’re guessing the actor’s skinny-dipping selfie was appreciated nonetheless.  The actor, who’s best known for his roles in Heroes and the Star Trek films has become an Internet favorite in recent years and uses his web presence to cultivate a closer relationship with fans. Quinto came out as gay in 2011 earning headlines, admiration and a whole fan demographic. Zachary and Jonathan Groff  began dating in 2012, but couple broke up late last year.  So maybe this is Quinto’s way of re-entering the dating world. Or maybe he just wants to make the rest of the world jealous by flaunting the in-ground pool or beautiful SoCal weather that he’s clearly taking full advantage of. Whatever the reason, we like this current trend of celeb’s stripping down for social networking sites. First it was Selena Gomez naked on Instagram and now the men are getting in on the act. If famous people keep giving it away for free, no-talent losers like Kim Kardashian and Lindsay Lohan will no longer be able to make money and headlines by leaking sex tapes and posing for Playboy . Ohio Teacher Fired After Racist Remarks To Student On Being President Remember this guy??? According to Cincinnati Enquirer: The Fairfield teacher accused of slurring an African -American student lost his job Thursday in the wake of a labor hearing that concluded with that recommendation. Freshman science teacher Gil Voigt has been on unpaid leave since December. After the Fairfield Board of Education received a state referee’s decision that “there is good and just cause to terminate the teaching contract,” the board voted 4-0 Thursday evening, with one board member absent, to end his employment with the Butler County school system. Voigt has declined to comment but told The Enquirer on Friday he plans to appeal the referee’s ruling with the Butler County Court of Appeals. Fairfield Superintendent Paul Otten also recommended the board discontinue the veteran teacher’s employment contract. “The district felt that the evidence was sufficient to support the termination of Mr. Voigt’s employment. The referee recommended such termination, and the board has concurred,” said Otten in a statement released Thursday evening. Voigt is alleged to have told an African-American student at Fairfield Freshman School, who had professed his desire to follow Barack Obama as president, that “we do not need another black president.” Voigt has previously said he was misquoted by the student, whom he described as troublesome. His suspension has drawn national attention and the condemnation of officials in the Butler County school system as well as area NAACP officials. He later told Fairfield officials that what he said to the teen was, “I think we can’t afford another president like Obama, whether he’s black or white.” Voigt now has the option of appealing the referee’s decision to Butler County Common Pleas Court within 30 days. Bryan Singer: Michael Egan Timeline, Selective Memory Don’t Add Up

Bryan Singer is firing back at sexual assault accuser Michael Egan, saying he was not even in the same state during the period he allegedly raped him. Bryan Singer Accused of Sexual Abuse Michael Egan claims in a new lawsuit that the X-Men director anally raped him and forced hard drugs on him during two separate trips to Hawaii in 1999. Singer will reportedly file credit card bills and various other documents proving he was in Toronto during the time frame in question, shooting the first X-Men . The 31-year-old man accusing Bryan Singer of sexual assault claims he didn’t remember the incident until recently, which Singer also says should clear him. Egan filed a lawsuit over a series of L.A. pool parties alleging sexual abuse against three other men in 2000, with a clear memory of what they alleged did. Singer was not named in that lawsuit, despite Egan’s claim that at one of these parties, Singer forced Egan to perform oral sex on him when he was just 15. He’s very graphic, comparing himself to a piece of meat and saying that Singer held his head underwater and forced him to orally copulate the director. Michael Egan, Bryan Singer Accuser In the 2000 lawsuit, however, he accuses Marc Collins-Rector, who owned the party house, and two other men. Singer was NOT named or even referenced . Egan ended up getting a default judgment of more than $2 million, but Collins-Rector and the others left the country so Egan was paid virtually nothing. Not unlike Wade Robson’s molestation accusation against Michael Jackson, Egan now said he blocked the incident out and numbed himself with alcohol. Recently, he got sober and started therapy, which unleashed a flood of bad memories involving Singer. The director claims this is all totally bogus. Sources connected to Singer says it’s absurd that Egan remembered the party in such vivid detail as to three other men but repressed memories of Singer.

Looks like Gwyneth is trying to give Ellen DeGeneres a run for her money. The newly single actress posted the above selfie to Instagram last night with a caption reading “girls’ night.” Okay, so it’s not as epically star-studded as Ellen’s famous Oscar selfie , but it’s still pretty impressive that a casual night out for Gwyneth involves hanging with Gwen Stefani, Nicole Richie, Chelsea Handler, Stella McCartney, Naomi Watts and director Sam Taylor-Johnson. In typical Gwyneth fashion no non-famous peasants were permitted to besmirch the photo with their presence. This is is the second noteworthy photo that Paltrow has shared online in the past 24 hours.  Earlier today, a picture of Gwyneth posing with her kids on vacation made the rounds online and seemed to be the actress’ way of telling the world that her family had recovered from her divorce from Chris Martin. Big news for the Clinton family. Chelsea Clinton Pregnant With First Child We know Bill “Slick Willy” Clinton and grandma-to-be Hilary must be happy. According to US Weekly: Welp, she called it! Chelsea Clinton is pregnant and expecting her first child with husband Marc Mezvinsky. The daughter of former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced the news during the Girls: A No Ceilings Conversation event in NYC on Thursday, April. 17. “One more thing to say very quickly,” the 34-year-old addressed the crowd. “Mark and I are very excited that we have our first child arriving later this year. I certainly feel all the better whether it’s a girl or a boy that they’ll grow up in a world with so many strong female leaders…” “I just hope that I’ll be as good to my child as my mom was to me,” she added. As mom Hillary replied: “I’m expecting a grand child which I’m very excited about. We’re very excited about what’s happening in our family but we’re also very excited about what we’re doing.” Dad Bill couldn’t help but gush himself following the event. “Excited to add a new line to my Twitter bio…grandfather-to-be!” he tweeted. “@hillaryclinton and I are so happy for Chelsea and Marc!” Chelsea added on Facebook: “Marc and I are so thrilled to be expecting our first child in the fall! Thank you for all of the kind words!” The former first daughter has clearly had babies on the brain, as she previously revealed she planned to try for baby No. 1 this year last October. “We sat down and said, ‘Here’s what we want to do.’ The first thing on the list was simple: We want, God willing, to start a family,” she said in Glamour’s November 2013 issue. “So we decided we were going to make 2014 the Year of the Baby.” Clinton and investment banker Mezvinsky tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Rhinebeck, N.Y., back in July 2010. The happy baby news comes just one day after Clinton, who serves as the Vice Chair of The Clinton Foundation, hinted that she’s open to running for political office one day. Congratz to the happy couple.

LAPD Caught Removing Squad Car Recording Devices In Black Neighborhoods via Kulture Kritic Some LAPD officers have taken matters into their own hands by removing their antennas from police cars in predominantly black areas. Why? Because they don’t want to be monitored while being on duty. When news first broke about this move, members of the Police Commission were alarmed and wanted to know why this was happening. In addition to this, they wanted to know how long this has been going on and who authorized this move. In a review of what transpired, it was concluded that ‘half of the 80 cars in the Southeast division—which includes Watts and the Jordan Downs and Nickerson Gardens housing projects—were missing the antennas that help capture what officers say in the field. The review discovered at least 10 more cars in nearby divisions also had antennas removed.’ Steve Soboroff, President of the commission stated that this issue should have been brought to their attention and made available by those officers. The antennas are used for the safety of the officers and the public. LAPD Chief Charlie Beck responded that it was not the intent of the LAPD to hide this information from the commission. With so many officers, it was difficult to ascertain which officers were committing the infraction. A warning was issued to officers about removing their antennas. Here’s what you need to know: “Officers wear small transmitters on their belts that relay their voices back to the antennas in the patrol car. Sgt. Dan Gomez, a department expert on recording devices, told the Times that regardless of whether they are in front of the camera, officers’ voices can be recorded hundreds of yards away from the car—but that distance is severely curtailed by as much as a third without the antennas.” Shuttesrtock

When will people learn to watch what they say on Facebook? Former School Secretary Fired For Racist Obama Facebook Post If he had just kept his personal feelings to himself, he would still have a job. According to Raw Story: A former school secretary in Harlingen, TX sued the school district for firing him over a racist post on the social medium Facebook. Courthouse News Service reported that Abel Gonzalez believes that his right of free speech was infringed upon by the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District. Gonzales’ suit, which was filed in the Federal Court in Brownsville on Monday, said, “On Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 9:08 a.m., plaintiff was at home on his own personal computer, when plaintiff received an e-mail from the Huffington Post’s Facebook page.” “The Facebook page had a picture of a little girl chasing President Obama in the Oval Office and beneath the picture were the words, ‘Caption this,’” the complaint continued. “Plaintiff wrote ‘Run N****r Run.’” A commenter on Huffington Post’s page named C. Orlando Pettiford saw Rodriguez’ racist post and copied and pasted it to the Dr. Rodriguez Elementary School Facebook page, the school where Gonzales worked as a secretary. On the same day, school principal Tracy Gonzalez [no relation to the plaintiff] received notice about the racist post. On September 7, 2012, School Superintendent Steve Flores placed Gonzales on administrative leave. Two weeks later, Gonzales was fired. He is suing the school district for $2 million in damages for “conspiracy, civil rights violations and violations of the First Amendment and due process violations, with an emphasis on the First Amendment claims,” said CNS. President Obama Blasts GOP Minority Voter Suppression At The 2014 NAN Convention – “You’d Think This Wouldn’t Be An Argument Any More” [Video]

President Obama Talks GOP Voter Suppression Efforts At 2014 NAN Convention Earlier today in New York City, President Obama took to the stage at the 2014 National Action Network Convention to address an intimate crowd of press, political peers, a handful of celebrity guests and a small group of lucky ticket holders. During his short and simple but fired-up speech the POTUS addressed the growing problem of voter suppression across the country in anticipation of the upcoming mid-term elections. BOSSIP was in the building to hear the President speak and slam Republicans for openly making it more difficult to vote when they themselves are trying to gain votes. Check out a few excerpts from his speech below. On certain groups of people (minorities, women, elderly, etc.) still having to fight for voting rights in the U.S.: “This recent effort to restrict the vote has not been lead by both parties.   It’s been lead by the Republican party.  If your strategy depends on having fewer people showing up to vote, that’s not a sign of strength. That’s a sign of weakness. And not only is ultimately bad politics, ultimately it is bad for the country.” You’d think this wouldn’t be an argument anymore, but the stark, simple truth is this:  The right to vote is threatened today, in a way that it has not been since the Voting Rights Act became law nearly five decades ago Across the country, Republicans have led efforts to make it harder and harder for people to vote.” On continuing to fight for equal voting rights: “We’ve GOT to continue to press for equal voting rights. Every American that wants to vote should be able to vote.    The single most important thing we can do to protect our right to vote, is to vote.” On being questioned about the validity of his birth certificate last year: “Just to be clear, I do know where my birth certificate is (laughs). I think it’s still up on a website somewhere. Do you guys remember that? That was crazy. Voter suppression is one of the biggest threats to the minority community in terms of getting our voices heard, so hopefully people are paying attention to the GOP suppression efforts and finding ways to fight back.

David Letterman to Retire in 2015

All it took was one night with Lady Gaga to drive David Letterman away. We kid, but the day after Gaga sang for the first time on The Late Show, Letterman announced his retirement as a talk show host. The comedian told his studio audience at today’s taping of his decision, with REM bassist Mike Mills Tweeting the news and various outlets subsequently confirming that Letterman will recite his final Top 10 List some time next year. David Letterman Retirement Announcement Letterman got his big break by performing stand-up many times on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. He was then given NBC’s Late Night in 1982. In 1993, Letterman moved to CBS and became the host of The Late Show. His contract is set to expire in 2015 and he said at this afternoon’s taping that he’ll step away “sometime in the not too distant future.” That’s when “Paul and I will be wrapping things up.” In February, of course, Jay Leno stepped down from The Tonight Show and Jimmy Fallon has been killing it in the ratings ever since. Expect speculation to soon begin over who will take over for Letterman, but let’s stop before that gets out of control and admire one of the funniest men to ever grace a television screen.
