Ted Nugent Says President Obama Also Called Black People Mongrels Babbling bigot Ted Nugent is now attempting to justify calling President Obama a “subuman mongrel” by using the President’s own words from a 2010 interview on ‘The View’ against him. via Media Matters In a disingenuous effort to deflect the firestorm that has engulfed him for calling President Obama a “subhuman mongrel,” Ted Nugent is dishonestly claiming that President Obama previously said the same thing. Nugent’s comments were criticized from politicians of both parties and the media after he appeared at two campaign rallies for Texas gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott last week. The National Rifle Association board member and Outdoor Channel spokesman offered an insincere apology on February 21 for the racist remark, but two days later began demanding apologies of his own on Twitter after discovering that “Obama called blacks mongrels on the View.” He will likely offer a similar argument when he appears on tonight’s edition of CNN’s Erin Burnett OutFront. But words in different contexts can have different connotations. Nugent’s comments are in no way comparable to Obama’s. During a July 2010 discussion of race relations on The View, Obama was asked why he identifies as African-American rather than biracial given that his mother was white. Obama replied that because “the world saw me as African-American,” he embraced that. He added that because many who identify as African-American have some white ancestry, “we are sort of a mongrel people.” He concluded that he is “less interested in how we label ourselves, and more interested in how we treat each other.” By contrast, during his January 2014 interview, Nugent attacked Obama as a “Chicago communist raised communist educated communist nurtured subhuman mongrel” and an “ACORN community organizer gangster” who should be imprisoned for treason.

The cryptic-sounding caption from Birdman read: “S/O @OfficialKimora luv of my life. Thank u 4 everythang u did and do 4 me RICHGIRL RICHGANG.” It’s not clear what the Bird meant, but clearly they’re not an item. Simmons and Leissner were first linked last year, following her split from longtime love Djimon Hounsou, with whom she has one son, Kenzo, 4. She also has two daughters, Ming, 14, and Aoki, 11, with Russell. On Christmas Day 2013, Simmons and Leissner were spotted walking on the beach together in St. Barts, where they were vacationing with her children. She has yet to confirm the marriage, but we’ll take Russell’s word .

Gay H8 is alive and well in Africa … Ugandan President Agrees To Sign Anti-Gay Bill Via NY Times reports: Gay rights in Africa suffered another setback when President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda told members of his party on Friday that he would sign a bill imposing harsh sentences for homosexual acts, including life imprisonment in some cases. The measure would criminalize “the promotion or recognition” of homosexual relations. After a first conviction, offenders face a 14-year prison sentence. Subsequent convictions of “aggravated homosexuality” could bring a penalty of life in prison. The announcement of the president’s intentions came during a conference of Mr. Museveni’s party, the National Resistance Movement, according to a government spokesman. “The NRM caucus has welcomed the development as a measure to protect Ugandans from social deviants,” said the spokesman, Ofwono Opondo, in a post on Twitter on Friday. According to Amnesty International, homosexuality is illegal in 38 of 54 African countries. Homosexual acts can be punished by death sentences in Mauritania, southern Somalia, Sudan and northern Nigeria, where justice is carried out according to a version of Shariah law. After President Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria signed a law criminalizing homosexuality throughout the country last month, arrests of gay people have multiplied amid demands for a crackdown. Colonial-era Ugandan law already prohibits homosexual acts. An earlier version of the bill, first introduced in 2009 and then withdrawn, included the death penalty in some instances. An international outcry helped scuttle that version, but legislators pushed ahead with a revised one. The Ugandan Parliament passed the most recent version of the antigay legislation in December. Later that month, Mr. Museveni wrote a letter to Parliament saying that lawmakers had made procedural errors in passing the bill and that in-depth study was needed before it could be taken up again. Mr. Museveni said at the time that he would seek further expert opinions. First Nigeria and now this? Do you think African countries are wrong for banning homosexuality? This is why Republicans stay losing. Senator Rand Paul Sues President Barack Obama Over NSA Surveillance They stay looking for a way to bring Obama down. According to CBS News: Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., is joining with a conservative group and Virginia’s former attorney general to sue President Obama and other top administration officials. They allege that the administration is violating the Fourth Amendment by collecting Americans’ phone metadata and are seeking a ruling that would halt the program and purge all previously collected data from government databases. “There’s a huge and growing swell of protest in this country of people who are outraged that their records would be taken without suspicion, without a judge’s warrant and without individualization,” Paul said at a press conference after filing the lawsuit in Washington, D.C. He predicted it would be a “historic lawsuit” that goes all the way to the Supreme Court. In addition to Paul, the lawsuit is being brought by Matt Kibbe, the president of the tea party-aligned group FreedomWorks, and the lead counsel is former Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, who lost the state’s gubernatorial election to Democrat Terry McAuliffe in November. It names Mr. Obama, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, National Security Agency (NSA) Director Keith Alexander and FBI Director James Comey as the defendents. In a statement before filing the suit, Paul said the president has “publicly refused to stop a clear and continuing violation of the 4th Amendment.” It’s sad this guy honestly thinks he will win this fugazi lawsuit.

Exec Arrested For Embezzling $1.3 Million Via NYPost A former Warner Music executive — a top Hollywood fund-raiser for President Obama — embezzled more than $1 million from the record label, Manhattan prosecutors charged Tuesday. Danielle D. Smith, 45, flew from California and turned herself in at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. She was arraigned on charges of first-degree grand larceny. Smith, who worked in the Los Angeles in the “urban” unit of Warner Music’s Atlantic Records division, allegedly used a corporate credit card to rack up $1.3 million in personal charges, prosecutors said. Smith’s duties at Warner Music, headquartered in Manhattan, included scouting and signing artists, as well as arranging their travel and lodging, sources said. But Smith also used her Warner Music credit card to fund a luxury lifestyle, sources said. She booked rooms in posh hotels and airfare for personal vacations and trips herself, and shelled out for “luxury goods” — resulting in whopping charges being billed to the company credit card between 2007 and 2011, according to law-enforcement sources. Smith resigned from Atlantic in late 2011, while she was under internal investigation for the credit card charges, sources said. Guess times have been tough for Danielle since she’s stopped stealing money from her former employer… Smith looked haggard in court, wearing black-rimmed glasses, a purple sweater and a gray wool coat. She pleaded not guilty before Justice Gregory Carro, who set bail at $1 million. Her lawyer, Scott Leemon, has represented rappers 50 Cent and Jim Jones. Smith’s mother flew with her from California and agreed to put up a retirement fund to spring her daughter on bail, working with bail bondsman to the stars Ira Judelson. “She denies the allegations and we look forward to exonerating her,” said Leemon.
