Poof, Vamoose…Beyotch: Michele Bachmann Drops Out Of The 2012 Presidential Race

Cue the violins… Rep. Michele Bachmann suspended her presidential campaign after placing sixth in Tuesday’s Iowa Republican caucuses, she announced today. “Last night, the people of Iowa spoke with a very clear voice, so I have decided to stand aside,” Bachmann said at a news conference, flanked by her parents, husband and five children. “I have no regrets, none whatsoever. We never compromised our principles and we can leave this race knowing we ran it with the utmost integrity.” Bachmann said she will continue to fight the policies of President Obama, particularly his health care legislation, calling the 2012 election “the last chance to turn our country around, before we go down the road of socialism.” She said she was motivated to stop Obama and not by a thirst for power. “Though I’m a congresswoman by title, a politician I’ve never been. … I’m not motivated by vanity, glory or the quest for power.” Bachmann had staked her candidacy on Iowa, the state in which she was born and raised. In September, campaign manager Keith Nahigian called Iowa a “must win” state. Bachmann placed last out of the six candidates competing here in Tuesday’s first-in-the-nation caucuses, receiving only 5 percent of the vote and losing in Waterloo, the town where she was born. Ron Paul Supporters Boost Kelly Clarkson’s Album Sales

Republican presidential hopeful even shouts out the singer in a speech leading up to the Iowa caucus. By James Montgomery Ron Paul Photo: Getty Images Even as he continues to battle for votes in the final hours of the Iowa caucus , Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul is already a front-runner in another contest: the quest for celebrity endorsements. Yes, in recent days, Paul has surged to the forefront of high-profile support, picking up the backing of singers Kelly Clarkson and Michelle Branch (both of whom subsequently felt the wrath of Paul’s detractors, though, hey, Clarkson may have gotten a sales bump out of it). But they’re just the latest in a list of seemingly disparate stars who have endorsed the candidate. “Fear Factor” host/ UFC fanatic Joe Rogan has already gone on the record as saying he supports Paul’s candidacy, as has comedian Doug Stanhope and actor Vince Vaughn, who introduced him at a political conference in Nevada back in September. Staind frontman Aaron Lewis is also onboard. In a speech Tuesday (January 3) at Valley High School in West Des Moines, Iowa — given to an audience of young voters — Paul even mentioned Clarkson by name, asking the assembled students, “Does anybody here know the name Kelly Clarkson? … Recently, she endorsed me. … I had to admit, I didn’t know a whole lot about her, but I did know that our supporters were so enthusiastic about it they went out and bumped up sales of her record by 600 percent.” MTV is on the scene in Iowa! Herman Cain Suspends Presidential Campaign

In the wake of both sexual harassment and infidelity allegations, Republication Presidential nominee Herman Cain suspended his campaign this afternoon, effectively ending his bid for the White House in 2012. Herman Cain Ends White House Bid “As of today, with a lot of prayer and soul searching, I am suspending my presidential campaign,” Cain said at an Atlanta rally, vowing that “I am not going to be silenced and I am not going away.” Cain cited the “continued distraction” of chatter over Ginger White’s claim that she carried on a 13-year affair – during which Cain supposedly showered her with gifts and financial help – with the former CEO of Godfather’s Pizza as the basis for his decision. “These false and untrue allegations continue to be spinned in the media, and in the court of public opinion so as to create a cloud of doubt over me and this campaign and my family,” Cain said. “That spin hurts. It hurts my wife. It hurts my family. It hurts me. And it hurts the American people, because you are being denied solutions to our problems.” Even before White rose to national prominence, Cain was under pressure after several other women accused him of sexual harassment and inappropriate conduct in the 1990s when he was the head of the National Restaurant Association. “One of declarations I want to make to you today is that I am at peace with my God. I am at peace with my wife, and she is at peace with me. And I am at peace with my family and at peace with myself,” Cain said.

Hey my name’s Jasmin and I live in Vienna in Austria! It…

Hey my name’s Jasmin and I live in Vienna in Austria!  It had always been my biggest dream to meet Justin but since I live in Austria I never thought that it will become reality.  When Justin said that there will be a My World Tour in Europe, I got so excited. I thought that he will finally come to Austria. Days went by but there was still no concert announced here. Soon all European concerts were announced. I was so upset. Also my friend Alexandra was very sad. We convinced our parents to fly with us to Germany for his concert in Berlin. After days of getting on their nerves, they finally said yes . You guys can’t imagine how much that meant to us. Then finally the day came. We flew from Vienna to Berlin and we even met other Austrian Beliebers on the plane! When the concert started, I began to cry. I finally saw my idol in person. Not on pictures or on Youtube, Justin was just a few meters away from us since we had very good tickets. I didn’t meet him though.  Two days before I flew to Berlin I found out about different contests to win a Meet & Greet with Justin in Zurich (Switzerland) on April, 8th. Of course Alexandra and I entered all the contests. One was from a famous Austrian youth magazine, the other from an Austrian radio station called Hitradio Ö3 and the third was from an Austrian music store called Saturn. We didn’t think that we would have high chances to win since there are many Beliebers in Austria but then a few days before the concert in Zurich, Alexandra called me and told me that she got an Email from Hitradio Ö3 and that she won four Meet & Greet passes to meet Justin in Zurich . Alexandra and me were freaking out and immediately called our friends Stefanie and Sarah to come with us. Soon our big day came. We met with the people from Hitradio Ö3 at the airport in Vienna and flew with them to Zurich. After one hour we arrived and went to the Hallenstadion. We were so excited. When we arrived there we met other Beliebers from Austria which won contests to meet Justin in Zurich too. We went inside and then waited, waited and waited. Then finally it was our turn to meet Justin. I was shaking like crazy, then finally we saw Justin. He had a big smile on his face. He must have noticed that I was shaking because he said, “Hey everythings alright, I’m just a normal teenage boy”. I responded with “I know but you are Justin Bieber” and then we went up to him and took our photo. After that Alexandra told him to come to Austria and Justin was like “Hey that’s where Bruno is from” . You know the movie with the gay man. We all had to laugh and then I told him that he has many fans in Austria and that we would love to see him there. After the Meet & Greet we watched his concert for the second time. I can’t believe that I met my idol. My biggest dream became reality!I want to thank Hitradio Ö3 for fulfilling our dreams! It was the best day of my life! -Jasmin See more here: Hey my name’s Jasmin and I live in Vienna in Austria! It…

My name is Milena and I’m from Poland. I really wanted to…

My name is Milena and I’m from Poland. I really wanted to write to you because we have a huge problem. You are my last chance. I will tell you my, our- Polish Beliebers story. We are trying to get Justin Bieber to visit Poland since his first concert . He was so close to us during his My World Tour, for example in Germany. We did everything what was possible. We were a lot of times in trending topics on Twitter. When we had a Bieber’s day in Poland, JB even retweeted one of our tweets. We were like YEAH! We also wrote a bunch of emails to  different  agencies like LiveNation and Universal Music, but it didn’t work. Finally, we wrote a letter to our Polish president. One day he answered us, ‘In response to your subsequent letters sent to the presidential box we would like to explain and advice you to ask the private arts agencies for concert of your favorite singer. You can also try to apply directly to the manager of Justin Bieber.’ You see.. no one wants to help us. I know that Justin reads your posts so I decided to write to you. We are a great Beliebers family, I hope you will help us. We will stick to what Justin taught us and never say never! Herman Cain Sort of Supports Electric Fence on U.S. Border With Mexico

Republican Presidential hopeful Herman Cain is sorry, kind of, and says he was kidding, sorta, for a recent comment about an electric fence protecting the U.S. Suddenly a bona fide contender for his party’s nomination in ’12, the Georgia businessman is now facing more intense scrutiny as his poll numbers surge up. As such, his off-the-cuff comments are coming back to bite him at times … such as when he called for an electric fence along the U.S. border with Mexico. Campaigning in Arizona, Herman Cain appeared with Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, an aggressive anti-immigration proponent. “It was a joke,” Cain said. “I apologize if I offended anyone. Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea culpa.” However, the Phoenix New Times reports it might not be a joke . Cain doesn’t want to offend anyone … but he was kinda serious about the electric deal: “I don’t like to offend anyone, however, I don’t apologize for using a combination of a fence. And it might be electrified, I’m not walking away from that.” “I don’t want to offend anybody. It was a joke to an extent, but I fully intend to do what we need to do because I’m sensitive to our citizens being hurt.” So he supports it, unless you don’t? Spoken like a true politician. Cain told an audience Saturday that his border fence is “going to be electrified. And there is going to be a sign on the other side that says, ‘It will kill you.'” Well, at least he would put a sign up, right? Rep. Charlie Gonzalez (D-Texas), who chairs the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, took issue with the presidential contender’s remarks. Gonzalez said: “Words have consequences, both in shaping ideas and inspiring actions. Whether or not he made his comments in jest, Mr. Cain’s words show a lack of understanding of the immigration issues our country is facing and a staggering lack of sensitivity.” Herman Cain …
