Tennessee Department Of Corrections Disciplines 70 Inmates For Posting “Prison Party” Photos Of Kush, Snacks, And Shenanigans On Facebook!

SMH 70 Tennessee Inmates Disciplined For Posting Inappropriate Pics On Facebook Via WSMV The Tennessee Department of Correction launched investigations in 14 prisons and disciplined 70 inmates following a report by the Channel 4 I-Team that showed inmates using drugs and partying behind bars and showing it off on Facebook. The Channel 4 I-Team found more than 100 inmates operating Facebook pages from behind bars – posting photos and videos of convicted criminals claiming to be using drugs, flashing large amounts of cash, partying, hoarding snacks and, in one case, setting a shirt on fire inside a prison cell. The discovery of the Facebook pages raises real questions for correction officials, because inmates don’t have Internet access and cell phones are prohibited. The Channel 4 I-Team found many of the inmates who are enjoying Facebook, communicating with family and friends and sharing pictures are convicted murderers and rapists. In one case Ivan Moreno – who strangled and murdered Bellevue grandmother Mary Sadler – was found on Facebook, showing pictures of himself playing a guitar inside a cell. “My eyes started watering. I started shaking. I couldn’t believe I could see him again,” said Sadler’s granddaughter, Michelle Elliot. Moreno isn’t the only one getting his social swerve on however… The Channel 4 I-Team also found convicted murderer Brandon White, who killed Ryan Wright, posting pictures of his phone and holding $200 cash. “That’s not punishment. That’s not any kind of punishment. It’s just like being out on the outside. It’s still freedom for them,” said Ryan’s mother, Linda Wright. “We can never communicate again. And he (Brandon White) has access to be able to communicate with the outside world.” Welp Linda, the joke’s on you and your family, and the DOC doesn’t seem like they are in a rush to solve the problem The victims’ families said when the criminals were sentenced to prison, they never imagined them posting photos of themselves to Facebook watching TV or burying themselves in junk food. We showed all the pictures and videos to TDOC Assistant Commissioner Tony Parker, who is in charge of security in state prisons. “Is this too extravagant for a guy to have who is behind bars?” Finley asked. “Obviously, this inmate is trying to be flagrant and show off all this property. Obviously, it’s an issue,” Parker said. Finley asked how all this can be happening while correctional officers are watching. “It’s not an issue of not enough correctional officers. It’s an issue of a nationwide problem with cell phones and the struggle to stay on top of it,” Parker said. Pretty weak answer bruh, perhaps you should try again. Woman Finds Toad In Can Of Green Beans According to WQAD An Indiana family says a typical dinner turned nauseating after they found a toad in their canned green beans. “We eat a lot of green beans, we do, we did. Nobody wants anymore now,” said Gloria Chubb of South Bend. That was then. WBND reports it wasn’t until she served dinner – meatloaf, mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans – that Chubb’s family made the discovery. “I didn’t see it when I dumped it- I didn’t see it at all until after I cooked it in the microwave,” said Chubb. “I was sick, nauseated for two days, and I don’t think I’ll have green beans anytime soon. “My son put some on his plate and said, ‘What is that?’ I thought maybe it was a piece of moldy bacon or something– because they have bacon in them sometimes,” said Chubb. “I and I took it out of there and it wasn’t moldy bacon, it was a toad with parts of his little legs all in the green beans. Other than that he was fully intact.” Chubb alerted the health department, and they took photos of the toad. They concluded the toad was processed along with the food at the canning plant in Wisconsin. The specialist who compiled the incident report said it probably isn’t the only one, since green bean field are natural habitats for toads and frogs. It’s uncommon to find one in canned vegetables but it does happen from time to time. Toads, mice and grasshoppers are the most common rodents or insects found in canned vegetables; they can be found in frozen vegetables as well. Meijer issued this statement: “Our goal at Meijer is to always provide the highest quality products to our customers. This crazy lady just didn’t give a f***. According to Daily Mail Woman Unleashes Racist Tirade Towards Passenger A woman who launched a tirade of foul-mouthed racist abuse towards another passenger is being hunted by police. The unidentified woman swore repeatedly repeating ‘If your country is so good, f*** off back there’ at a man sitting next to her on an eastbound District line train. Another passenger filmed the three-minute rant and posted it on YouTube which prompted British Transport Police to launch an investigation into the shocking alleged incident. While it is unclear what provoked the attack or what the victim says during the video, the woman repeatedly swears, makes rude gestures and stands threateningly over the man. She screamed: ‘You come in this country you f****ng mother f***ers c***. You want everything on a plate f*****ng c*** and expect us to take this. ‘You are all racist c****, you want to take over the world. ‘You’re so thick you don’t even get it.’ The police today released an image of the woman. They said the date and time of the alleged attack is unclear. Detective Constable Lawrence Murphy said: ‘We have isolated images of a woman we believe may be able to help us with our investigation into the incident. ‘We believe the footage was filmed on an eastbound District line train, which passed through Stepney Green Tube station and Mile End station. ‘At this stage, we urge anyone who witnessed this incident, or who recognizes the woman, to get in touch and help us build up a full picture of exactly what took place. ‘We treat all allegations of racism very seriously and urge anyone with information about this incident to contact us.’ Anyone with information should contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Last year Jacqueline Williams, 47, was charged with a racially aggravated public order offense after she was filmed hurling racist abuse at train passengers. Elizabeth Ward-Buck, 51, was spared jail earlier this year after she was filmed verbally abusing two female students in the waiting room at Ipswich Hospital. She asked the women where they were from, then shouted: ‘You’re coming over here and you’re pleading poverty. We are paying taxes you a***holes and we are going down in this crisis.’ The aggressive woman was taken to a side room by police, but she continued her rant and even tried to assault a police officer. Man Caught Trying To Sell Baby Alligator On Craigslist There really isn’t much that you can’t find for sale on Craigslist……not even baby alligators …. via Chicago Tribune A Northwest Side man accused of trying to sell a baby alligator on Craigslist for $300 was arrested Monday evening, police said. Juan A. DeJesus, 19, of the 1700 block of Meade Avenue, was charged Monday with one count of misdemeanor possession of wildlife, police said. A state Department of Natural Resources police officer responded to an advertisement that was posted on Craigslist and went to DeJesus’ home Monday afternoon under the pretenses he was going to purchase the alligator, police said. The ad, which has since been pulled from Craigslist, stated: “Baby gator for sale, id consider a trade for a leachie gecko. Sale price is 300 obo asap.” DeJesus came out of his home with the alligator and said he would like to have $300 for it, but the officer identified himself and told DeJesus of the violation, police said. Justin Bieber Visits Anne Frank Museum Via Gawker reports: Last night, Justin Bieber , along with a few friends and guards, paid an after-hours visit to the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam. The Anne Frank House is the house where Anne Frank, along with several other Jews, hid from the Nazis for two years before eventually being found by them and killed. It’s where she wrote her famous diary, the one that has become required reading in school rooms everywhere. And if she could have just escaped the Nazis and been born in 1992, Justin Bieber would like to believe that she would have been a big fan of his. The Anne Frank Museum posted on their Facebook page a transcription of what Bieber wrote in the guest book after his moving visit, “Truly inspiring to be able to come here. Anne was a great girl. Mm-mm-good Orlando Man Arrested For Stealing $75,000 Worth Of Soup Via NBCNews A 51-year-old Orlando man was arrested on charges that he stole a tractor trailer containing $75,000 worth of soup, authorities said. Eusebio Diaz Acosta, 51, faces charges of grand theft of cargo worth $50,000 or more and grand theft of a motor vehicle following his arrest early Sunday on the Florida’s Turnpike, according to authorities. Broward Circuit Judge John Hurley called the facts of the case “very unusual.” “This is the first time the court’s ever seen $75,000 worth of soup stolen,” Hurley said Monday, as he set Diaz Acosta’s bond at $25,000. The Florida Highway Patrol said that it received a report of a stolen tractor trailer hauling soup that was being tracked by GPS, and the tractor trailer driven by Diaz Acosta was pulled over at the 63-mile marker of the turnpike in Tamarac. Reality Star Starts Chemotherapy To Fight Cancer Via TMZ reports: The star of VH1′s “Real Chance of Love” — who was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer — will begin intense chemo treatments this week in order to fight off the disease … TMZ has learned. A rep for Ahmad Givens — who goes by Real — tells TMZ that the reality star met with doctors Thursday at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles. The docs advised him to begin oral chemotherapy — which is chemo taken in the form of a pill rather than an IV — ASAP. The entire process is likely to take at least two years. The rep tells us Real is raising money to cover the staggering medical bills — claiming his insurance will only foot about 40% of the costs. We’re told Real’s devastated by the news, but staying strong for his family. And wants to do everything in his power to get better. Tea Party Members Protest Against Fox News For Becoming Too Liberal Wow the “fair and balanced” safe-haven for tea party chumps and conservatives is now being accussed of being too liberal??? According to The Daily Beast: Is Fox News going soft? That is what a number of Tea Party activists are saying and they are organizing a boycott to protest the conservative station’s coverage, especially what they view as the network’s relative silence in investigating the attacks on a diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya. “Particularly after the election, Fox keeps turning to the left,” said Stan Hjerlied, 75, of Fort Collins, Colo., and a participant in the boycott. He pointed to an interview Fox News CEO Roger Ailes gave after the election in which he said that the Republican Party and Fox News need to modernize, especially around immigration. “So we are really losing our only conservative network.” The three-day boycott lasted Thursday morning through Sunday morning, and is the second time this group of activists have gone Fox-free in an effort to steer the coverage. Organizers say a two-day boycott earlier this month knocked 20 percent off of the network’s regular viewership. (A Daily Beast analysis of the same data showed that the boycott had little effect.) A spokeswoman for Fox News did not respond to a request for comment. A leader of the boycott, Kathy Amidon, of Nashville, declined an interview, instead directing The Daily Beast to a website, Benghazi-Truth. The website, a single-page, 23,000-word manifesto complete with multicolored fonts, supposedly incriminating videos of Fox News’s complicity in a coverup, and communist propaganda photographs, is kept by someone who identifies himself online as “Proe Graphique,” and who other members of boycott described as someone who works “in New York media.” Going without the conservative movement’s house organ, however, has proven to be no easy task for true believers. “I am having withdrawal. I do like Fox News,” said Kevin Avard, a former state lawmaker in New Hampshire who is participating in the boycott. “I have been going to CNN, and to Headline News just to get some kind of fix. I usually probably only watch them once or twice a year.” Hjerlied said that “If I want news, I go to Breitbart News and Drudge and I can find all the news I need, very quickly,” and after the first boycott, says he may have “kicked the habit” for good. “I used to have it on all day long, and I probably watched maybe six hours last week,” he said. “The more I looked at it, I have come to the conclusion that Fox is not as fair and balanced as I thought. They shade the truth also.” Among the demands the protesters have is that Fox News “be the right-wing CBS News: to break stories, to break information, and to do what news organizations have always done with such stories: break politicians,” that the network have at least one segment on Benghazi every night on two of its prime-time shows; that Fox similarly devote investigative resources to discovering the truth of Obama’s birth certificate; and that the network cease striving to be “fair and balanced.” “We need Fox to turn right,” said Hjerlied. “We think this is a coverup and Fox is aiding and abetting it. This is the way Hitler started taking over Germany, by managing and manipulating the news media.” SMH.
