The JoBro announces via Twitter that track is ‘coming to you on 10/3.’ By Jocelyn Vena Joe Jonas Photo: Getty Images With only a few weeks left until Joe Jonas drops his debut solo album, Fast Life, he’s got a last-minute surprise for his fans. The singer announced on Twitter that Lil Wayne will appear on a remix of his single “Just in Love,” set to drop on Monday. “BIG NEWS! #JustInLove Remix with Me and @LilTunechi (LIL WAYNE) coming to you on 10/3 on @OnAirWithRyan. Can’t wait for you to hear it!” he wrote . Seacrest jokingly tweeted back, “U have ur leopard jeggings yet?” Back in July, when Jonas was still working on the album, he said he was excited about the chance to get some features and remixes together before the album’s October 11 release date. “The album’s not packaged and sent out yet, so if anybody out there wants to do a song, I’m a free agent,” he told MTV News. Jonas dropped the official version of “Just in Love” earlier this month. The dance track came complete with a sexy video, with Jonas frolicking around Paris with a beautiful French model. While fans will have to wait to hear the song, the magazine reports that Weezy raps lines like: “We makin’ love like animals/ ‘Planet of the Apes.’ ” “He just jumped on the record, and it’s just super awesome to see that somebody like him would wanna support me,” Jonas told Billboard about the soon-to-be-released remix . “It means the world to me, and I love his rap; it’s so dope. Somebody like Lil Wayne, who owns the market and who is a power-maker in his genre, supporting me is really exciting.” Related Artists Lil Wayne Joe Jonas

Gavin DeGraw Talks New Album And One Heck Of A Bad Night

Singer says ‘it got bloody’ when he was attacked by a group of young men last month in New York City. By Vaughn Trudeau Schoonmaker Gavin DeGraw Photo: MTV News Getting ready for the release of his fourth studio album, Sweeter, singer Gavin DeGraw dropped by MTV News’ studios to discuss his excitement for the album, his upcoming tour with “American Idol” alum David Cook , and, of course, to give us the full story behind the unfortunate “incident” that landed the singer in the emergency room last month. “I’m so excited about touring for this record,” Gavin said, bursting with excitement. “I think that the music on this record is going to make for a really exciting show.” The always-smiling soul/rock singer of smash hits like “I Don’t Want to Be,” “Chariot” and “In Love With a Girl” is excited to bring together all of his music for one epic show when he hits the road with Cook this fall. Judging by his hearty laughter and great enthusiasm for his new material, you’d never guess that the soulful rock singer had recently taken a severe beating by a group of unidentified men in New York City’s East Village late one summer night. Gavin had a night off in New York City while touring with Maroon 5 and Train and decided to spend it with a few friends at the National Underground, a New York City bar he co-owns with his brother. “I had a few drinks, and I put them in a cab,” Gavin recalled. “Typically, when I’m at that place, I’ll walk home afterwards. I walk a few blocks, and then I cross paths with some people who had something to say to me. Gavin explained that is where details became hazy and “it got bloody.” When the attackers fled, Gavin was left to get himself to the emergency room, but the misfortune didn’t end there.” “I ended up having to go to the hospital in an ambulance,” Gavin said. “What they think is either I got hit by a cab or I went over and grabbed the handle of the cab to get in and this guy just saw some bloody dude trying to get into his car and hit the gas, which knocked me off into the sidewalk.” Despite the terrible night, Gavin remains very positive about his relationship with his family, friends, fans and New York City itself. “I happened to have a rough night in New York,” Gavin said in defense of the city that never sleeps. “But the whole night wasn’t rough. Actually for the most part, the night was amazing. I just had a rough couple of minutes at the end of it.” Gavin likened the poor circumstances of that night to gambling. “If New York was a casino, the odds are pretty good. I’ve had thousands of great nights out in New York, and I lost at the roulette wheel one night, but I usually win big money.” Gavin had a word of advice for people who know someone who finds him- or herself in similar circumstances: “If something does happen to a friend of theirs or a loved one, it does go a long way when you just even send a text message out to somebody. Just the distraction of having someone reach out to you is actually pleasant.” Related Artists Gavin DeGraw

Lara Stone’s Ass in a Bikini of the Day

Lara Stone is a model who has been NAKED in photoshoots enough for these ass crack pics to not be exciting, not that ass crack pics are every really exciting, you know since the top of an ass almost always lacks personality, especially with a saggy bathing suit hanging off it, and ever more especially cuz she’s got tons of nude pics of her floating around making this shit pretty obsolete…I’m just posting it cuz when she married her Comedian husband David Williams from Little Britain, they put a media block on all pictures published, resulting in lawyers and lawsuit threats for pictures that weren’t even this erotic…which is hardly erotic…making me seriously hate the cunt and her ego that makes her put media blocks on her honeymoon like she was the fucking royal family…bitch needs to get a fucking grip. Michael Rapaport Eyes Roots, De La Soul For Next Docs

A Tribe Called Quest doc director says he’d do another hip-hop film ‘if things lined up.’ By Rob Markman, with reporting by Kara Warner Michael Rapaport Photo: MTV News The controversy surrounding the documentary “Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest” has not killed director Michael Rapaport’s hip-hop jones. The film has received rave reviews, and if given the chance, Rapaport told MTV News that he has his eye on a few other rap acts that he’d like to turn his lens on. “I would love to document De La Soul,” he said looking directly in the camera making his best pitch. Another group which Rapaport has interest in is Philadelphia hip-hop band the Roots. While the group has had a rotating cast since their 1993 debut, Organix, band leader and drummer ?uestlove, along with MC Black Thought and keyboardist Kamal have been mainstays. Multi-platinum producer Scott Storch was a one-time member, as was rapper Malik B. The Roots have released 10 studio LPs since the early 1990s, and of course, the Grammy-winning group are enjoying success as the in-house band for “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.” “I would love to document the Roots; I think they have an interesting story,” Rapaport said. “I have a curiosity about them. Their musicality and their live performances I think would be great, and I have a feeling that there are stories behind each one of them.” After filming A Tribe Called Quest for his current work, Rapaport has went back and forth with group member Q-Tip. In light of the experience, when he visited “RapFix Live” in March, Q-Tip urged other rappers to tell their “own stories,” a concept that confused Rapaport . “I don’t know if he meant, ‘We’re from hip-hop, it should be a hip-hop director,’ ” the actor-director admitted to MTV News. “I don’t know who would go under the auspices of being a hip-hop director. Or if it was a racial thing like, ‘We’re black and shouldn’t have a white director.’ It was confusing to me.” As of now, Rapaport isn’t looking to do another rap film in the near future, but he wouldn’t turn it down if the opportunity presented itself. “Right now I’m taking a break from hip-hop documentaries,” he said. “But I would do it if things lined up.” Would you support a Michael Rapaport-directed Roots documentary? ‘Thor’ Sequel Set For July 2013

Star Chris Hemsworth will return, but director Kenneth Branagh will not. By Kara Warner Chris Hemsworth in “Thor” Photo: Paramount Pictures Given its mighty haul at the box office earlier this summer, Disney and Marvel Studios have officially green-lit a “Thor” sequel to be released July 26, 2013. Deadline originally reported that Chris Hemsworth will return to play the titular God of Thunder, but director Kenneth Branagh will not be back, which Disney confirmed to MTV News. When we spoke with Branagh prior to the film’s release in May, the esteemed thespian seemed to be interested in continuing the story of the haughty Asgardian but was cautious about stating outright that he would be 100 percent in to direct a second “Thor” film. “The prospect of [a sequel] is very tantalizing and fascinating,” Branagh diplomatically told MTV News. “I loved working with this group of actors and had a fantastic experience working with everyone in the Marvel family.” At the time, Branagh mentioned the fact that getting a sequel off the ground would require major box-office success and support from the fans — which, with a $437 million worldwide gross, the fans and money talked. Branagh also added that whether or not he was directing future installments, he was still a fan of the world of the Marvel Thunder God. “When I first got involved with this, I was so thrilled. The first big, really exciting moment when I started really going through the comic books was all the descriptions of powers,” he explained. “I loved it, amazing. People’s body weights, how tall they were, what they could do, all of that kind of stuff. There’s a vast amount of that from the Thor universe that I’d like to see.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Thor.” For breaking news and previews of the latest comic book movies — updated around the clock — visit SplashPage.MTV.com . Taylor Lautner Debuts ‘Abduction’ Trailer

‘It’s crazy for me to actually watch the trailer, because I’ve been envisioning this movie put together for so long,’ Lautner tells MTV News. By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Taylor Lautner and Lily Collins in “Abduction” Photo: Lionsgate We’re not exaggerating when we say you’ve never seen Taylor Lautner like this — leading man, action hero, devoid of any supernatural powers. We say that because, until now, the trailer for the 19-year-old actor’s upcoming thriller “Abduction” has been under wraps. But as part of “MTV First: Taylor Lautner,” we’re exclusively debuting the first-ever look at footage from the movie, which hits theaters September 23. “It’s crazy for me to actually watch the trailer, because I’ve been envisioning this movie put together for so long — ever since I read the script,” Lautner told us at the start of a 30-minute chat. “Just to see it all together now is really exciting.” Lautner plays a teen named Nathan, who’s always felt something wasn’t quite right. As he puts it in the trailer, “Sometimes I feel different. I walk around like everybody else, but inside I just feel like I’m a stranger in my own life.” He’s right. After stumbling upon his baby picture on a missing-persons website and reaching out to his birth parents, Nathan finds himself caught up in a world of underground spies and death-defying stunts. Those stunts are very much on display in the new trailer. He rides a motorcycle through the woods, gets into a fight on a moving train, scales scaffolding and slides down glass roofing. Oh, and he makes time for a steamy kiss with co-star Lily Collins. All the while, Nathan’s on the run from a CIA agent (Alfred Molina) who intends to apprehend him. “It’s a great story, it’s a great character, there are a lot of great characters, there’s a lot of action, it’s fun,” Lautner said. “Also, I knew it was going to be challenging, so I was looking forward to that.” What did you think of the “Abduction” trailer? Christina Aguilera Promises ‘The Voice’ Judges Will Be Nice

Pop star says she will join Twitter to promote the show, which premieres in April. By Gil Kaufman Christina Aguilera Photo: Frank Micelotta/ Getty Images Is the age of the mean judge over? With the new “American Idol” panel going pretty easy on this year’s top 13 so far, it’s starting to sound like there will be more of the same back-patting on the upcoming NBC singing competition “The Voice.” “There is no good and bad,” said Christina Aguilera , one of the show’s mentors, in her first public appearance since her arrest for public intoxication earlier this month.
