Source: Power Sport Images / Getty Lamar Odom Sued Over Unpaid AMEX Bill Even though Lamar Odom seems to be living a much healthier lifestyle than he has in the past, the ball player still has some issues to take care of. According to court documents obtained by The Blast , American Express is suing Odom for allegedly failing to pay up on his bill. The credit card company is claiming that the former Los Angeles Lakers player owes them a whopping $17,050.83. Lamar has been talking about joining Ice Cube’s BIG3 basketball league, and he might have to use his first paycheck to help pay off that big AMEX bill. Maybe this debt–or other money issues of the same nature–will be something that we hear about when Lamar releases his highly-anticipated memoir in 2019. From Odom’s Instagram page, it also looks like he’s getting into the business of vaping with some “big things coming soon!” Regardless of this alleged debt, it’s good to see Odom trying to get into some other revenue streams besides basketball.
Source: SAUL LOEB / Getty Trump Reportedly Hired Undocumented Workers Golf Clubs While Pushing Tougher Immigration Laws The math isn’t adding up, Donnie. Over the past couple days multiple immigrant women who worked at the Trump National Golf Club in New Jersey have come forward claiming that they were undocumented at the time of employment and that Trump and his golf course management knew it. In a bombshell interview from the NY Times , an undocumented Guatemalan woman named Victorina Morales claimed that she has worked without legal status as a housekeeper at the club for the past five years, which has empowered many other workers like her to speak up and tell their story as well. One of the women goes as far as to say that she was allowed to submit fraudulent documents by the employee who interviewed her for the job. Ms. Morales said she has been hurt by Mr. Trump’s public comments since he became president, including equating Latin American immigrants with “violent criminals”. This coupled with abusive comments from a supervisor at work about her intelligence and immigration status, made her feel that she could no longer keep silent.

Source: andresr / Getty Restaurant Threatens To Fire Employee For Getting Shift Covered One restaurant in New Jersey is facing some serious backlash after a manager threatened to fire an employee who wanted to attend a friend’s funeral and was looking to get their shift covered. The college student from the College of New Jersey (TCNJ) is a hostess at Café Seventy-Two. She texted her boss, Katie, to check if there was another host who could take one of her shifts. As evidenced by screenshots of this exchange, Katie hastily replied, “Are you serious? No,” before the employee had an opportunity to explain the reason she needed her shift covered. “Someone close to my just passed away, and I’m trying to find a cover for my shifts so I can attend the funeral service rather than call out and leave you guys hanging,” the student wrote, also sending a link to the announcement of Michael Sot’s death, who was killed in a car accident on Sunday. The response from her boss was anything but understanding, which reads: “Oh wow thanks. Just don’t come back to work.” Katie continued, “I like you but I’m sick of all staff not taking their job seriously and just f***ing expect me to cover all of your shifts. I have a business to run at the end of the day. And a family.” Screenshots of the exchange were soon posted to a TCNJ Facebook group, where students showed their support for the employee by saying that they would no longer bring their business to Café Seventy-Two. Students also decided to trash the restaurant on both its Facebook (which has since been deleted) and Yelp pages. The restaurant’s co-owner, and Katie’s husband, Ben, wrote an apology, ensuring that the employee was not fired, also revealing their donation to Michael Sot’s GoFundMe. Hello to all of our loyal customers. My name is Ben, the owner and operator of Café 72, a long standing family run business. I am also the husband of “Katie Café 72”. You may or may not have seen some posts on social media reflecting an interaction with a current Café 72 employee whom is also a TCNJ student affected by the recent tragic death of Michael Sot. The employee was not fired. Her last shifts were this weekend before leaving for holiday break to be with her family and friends until January 28th. This private conversation was not related in any way to the mourning of Michael. Although this interaction was displayed completely out of context by a friend of the employee and drastically misrepresents Katie and our establishment, we recognize that there is NOTHING that excuses it. We carelessly let the stresses of family and business replace the professionalism, respect and empathy that every employee and person deserves. We have received countless hate emails, bad reviews and threatening phone calls and ask that they STOP. We understand the anger and animosity that has been created by these posts, and ask for the communities’ forgiveness. On behalf of Café 72 and our family, we offer our sincerest apology. We have been residents of Ewing and operated business for many years in this township. Café 72 has gone above and beyond for Ewing Township and TCNJ through gas explosions, hurricanes, snow storms and other tragedies and will continue to do so. We recognize that it is our patrons and the community that make us special and a place to come together as one. We would like to turn the tremendous amount of negativity around and create as much positivity as possible by contributing $1000 to Michael’s GoFundMe page. We would also like to add to this donation by giving another 10% of all sales the remainder of this week in his honor. Thank you for taking the time to read this and we wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday season.
Seeing a rodent near your school’s dumpster is one thing, but finding a rat in the vending machine is another level of cringe. That was the case for students at a Delray Beach high school in Miami who said they lost their appetite after finding a rat crawling among the snacks in a vending machine. A spokesperson for the Palm Beach County School District says the principal was immediately made aware and the vending machine was locked so students couldn’t use it. The vending machine company sent out an exterminator the next day; but let’s hope they did more than remove the machine. Everyone knows that where there’s one visible rodent, there’s many more you haven’t seen.
Source: Jason Miller / Getty Tristan Thompson Gets Fined $15,000 For Inappropriate Gesture Tristan Thompson is going through it with the folks of the NBA. The Cleveland Cavaliers player ended up being fined $15,000 for “making an inappropriate gesture toward a spectator,” after flipping off a fan in the crowd, the league announced on Thursday. The incident occurred at the end of the December 3 game, when the Cavs played against the Brooklyn Nets on their home turf at the Barclays Center. In the video footage obtained by TMZ , Thompson is seen quickly giving the middle finger to members of the crowd after the Brooklyn Nets missed a final three-point shot while trying to secure a buzzer-beating win. His team won with a 99-97 victory, while Thompson celebrated with the $15K fine. Tristan just can’t catch a break lately, especially on the court. Just last month, his almost-sister-in-law Kendall Jenner had a front-row seat to a heated exchange between Thompson and her rumored boyfriend Ben Simmons. She was also seen boo-ing the ball player and laughing about it afterward during the same game, following the two and their altercation. Luckily for the ballers, there were no hard feelings on Thompson’s part. After the game, Tristan retweeted a clip of their argument writing, “Ben Simmons is my bro.” It’s good that T could make nice with Ben Simmons, but it’s not likely he’s as happy with the NBA after having to cough up thousands of dollars.
Source: Leon Bennett / Getty Tommie Lee Rearrested On Jail Release Day Love & Hip-Hop’s Tommie Lee spent her Thanksgiving behind bars after believing that she’d be free on November 7 according to TMZ. Tommie Lee was rearrested the same day she was to be released due to a violation of her DUI probation. Remember when we reported that Tommie was *allegedly* stalking her own daughter and slamming her into a locker at her middle school? Yeah. The law doesn’t allow Tommie to do that. Tommie has been a prisoner in Fulton County jail in Atlanta for 28 days now. Word is that she will get another chance at freedom sometime this month. Even when she gets out, we find it hard to believe that Tommie won’t return to her cell and baggy jumpsuit at some point in the near future. It’s just her thing.

If she hadn’t had a weapon, there’s no telling what would have happened,” he said at the press conference. “I gave her a big hug. I told her how proud I was of her.” Clark said that the woman had a concealed weapons permit and called it a “shining example” of the importance of gun ownership. “She came out on the good on this end and the other guy, the bad guy, didn’t,” he said. McLaughlin was awaiting trial for first-degree burglary and grand larceny, while Dill had been charged with criminal sexual conduct.
