Arie Luyendyk, Jr. and Sean Lowe are the two finalists for The Bachelor, according to reports, meaning Ryan Lochte won’t be rocking his Speedo on the show. The Olympic swimming champ was actually in the running, however. “We honestly briefly considered him ,” a source who works on the show revealed to E! News. “But we are going elsewhere. It’s really down to Arie and Sean.” You’ll still have a chance to see the athlete on TV this fall, as Lochte booked a gig on 30 Rock as well as 90210. But The Bachelor didn’t say #Jeah to Ryan. Arie Luyendyk, Jr. , Sean Lowe and Jef Holm all became fan favorites during the most recent Bachelorette season, comprising Emily Maynard’s final three. Producers are still finalizing their decision, and a casting announcement is expected “soon.” Roberto Martinez may or may not still be in the mix as well. Assuming it’s down to Arie and Sean, who do you think should be the next Bachelor? Vote for your favorite of the two hunks in THG’s survey below!
Despite reports to the contrary, Roberto Martinez may still be in the running to be the next star of The Bachelor, according to the best source there is. Roberto was being courted by the network several months ago, though no agreement was reached, and he was reportedly dating Kara Ramos at the time. Many thought he was out, especially given the emergence of Sean Lowe and Arie Luyendyk, Jr. But Reality Steve says Roberto is very much in the mix. Steve claims Roberto Martinez , who won The Bachelorette in 2010 but broke up with Ali Fedotowsky earlier this year, is now single and ready to mingle. The network is as interested now as it was this spring. Arie Luyendyk Jr. , for his part, is interested in being the star, but perennial Bachelor spoiler Steve says he doesn’t “chance in hell” of landing the gig: ”Yes, they [ABC execs] have met and interviewed both Sean and Arie, but I still haven’t heard anything solid enough that says it won’t be Roberto.” “This is Roberto’s gig to lose, which is why they were after him hard three months ago. If he got greedy, then I bet they give it to Sean.” Olympic champion Ryan Lochte is also rumored to be interested, though that seems like a long shot at best. The next season is set to begin filming September 15, so look for ABC to announce its star soon, probably during Bachelor Pad . Who do you think should be The Bachelor?
Pictures of like this of busty British babe Kelly Brook , out on the town in her hot tube top dress, is why I got into this business. Bikini pictures and upskirts are great and all, but there’s something about a hottie all dressed up that just works better for me. I especially like the shot of her struggling to get into a car. Hot. Tube top dresses too, I mean come on. I’m picturing her running up a flight of stairs, bouncing around until one of those things accidentally pops out. Oops.
Mitt Romney Chooses Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan As Vice Presidential Running Mate Moneymakin’ Mitt has made his choice for VP running mate and it’s 42-year-old, seven term Congressman from Wisconsin, Paul Ryan: With the political world watching, Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney misspoke while introducing his running mate. Romney mistakenly introduced Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan on Saturday as the next president of the United States. Ryan, of course, has been tapped to serve as Romney’s vice presidential nominee. A sheepish Romney puts arms around Ryan and clarified his mistake before Ryan took the microphone. Romney says that he makes a mistake every once in a while. But he says he didn’t make a mistake with his selection of Ryan The ticket made its debut at a naval museum in Norfolk, Va., the initial stop of a bus tour through four battleground states in as many days. The USS Wisconsin, berthed at the museum, was their bunting-draped backdrop, a symbol of the nation’s military strength as well as an obvious reference to Ryan’s home state. First Romney, then Ryan, a generation younger than his patron, jogged down the ship’s gangplank to the cheers of hundreds and the stirring soundtrack from the movie “Air Force One.” As his family came on stage, Ryan knelt to embrace his daughter and two sons before kissing his wife. While word of Ryan’s selection leaked late Friday night and was posted by the campaign to its phone app before the speeches, Obama’s campaign withheld its reaction until the Republicans had spoken. “The architect of the radical Republican House budget, Ryan, like Romney, proposed an additional $250,000 tax cut for millionaires, and deep cuts in education from Head Start to college aid,” Jim Messina, the president’s campaign manager, said in a written statement. “His plan would also end Medicare as we know it by turning it into a voucher system, shifting thousands of dollars in health care costs to seniors,” he said Here’s more about Ryan and his policies: At 42, Ryan is a more than two decades younger than the 65-year-old Romney. His conservative credentials are highly regarded by fellow Republican House members, while numerous polls during the primaries of winter and spring found that Romney’s credentials were suspect among the party’s core supporters. A seven-term congressman, Ryan is chairman of the House Budget Committee, and primary author of conservative tax and spending blueprints that the tea party-infused Republican majority approved over vociferous Democratic opposition in 2011 and again in 2012. They envision transforming Medicare into a program in which future seniors would receive government checks that they could use to purchase health insurance. Under the current program, the government directly pays doctors, hospitals and other health care providers. Ryan and other supporters say the change is needed to prevent the program from financial calamity. Critics argue it would impose ever-increasing costs on seniors. Other elements of the budget plan would cut projected spending for Medicaid, which provides health care for the poor, as well as food stamps, student loans and other social programs that Obama and Democrats have pledged to defend. Game show legend, known for kissing all female contestants, loses his battle with cancer. By Jason Kaufman Richard Dawson Photo: Getty Images Richard Dawson, the host of “Family Feud” who made kissing all female contestants on the show his signature, is dead at 79 after losing a battle with cancer. News of Dawson’s death came from his son Gary through a post on Facebook. “Dear Friends. It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my father passed away this evening from complications due to esophageal cancer. He was surrounded by his family. He was an amazing talent, a loving husband, a great dad, and a doting grandfather. He will be missed but always remembered…” Dawson hosted “Family Feud” for nine years from 1976 through 1985, also returning to the show for the 1994-95 season. He became known for kissing all the female contestants on the “Feud,” a signature move that earned him the nickname “The Kissing Bandit.” He would explain years later that it was something he had learned during his childhood from his mother. Dawson grew up in England and pursued a comedy career early on, eventually landing bit parts in TV shows and films, including a spot on “The Dick Van Dyke Show.” He married British sex symbol Diane Dors in 1959 and moved to California, which put him in close proximity to the entertainment industry. He eventually landed a role on “Hogan’s Heroes” as Corporal Peter Newkirk. Through the years, Dawson would spend his time between films, TV appearances (including “Laugh-In”) and even music, recording psychedelic tunes in the late ’60s. But it was his appearance as a panelist on the game show “Match Game” in 1975 that led to the “Feud” job that would make him a TV legend. Dawson made fun of his own image in the 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger action film “The Running Man,” playing diabolical game show host Damon Killian. Dawson’s kissing skills were quite potent. He met his second wife, Gretchen Johnson, when she was a contestant on “Feud” in 1981. They married a decade later. When Dawson returned to host the show in the ’90s, his wife had one rule: No more kissing any contestants. Share your condolences for Dawson’s friends and family in the comments.

If you’re like me and only watched the Bachelor because your girlfriend watches it and you don’t want to piss her off, than you know this Courtney Robertson as the winner everybody loved to hate. I thought she was an idiot too, but after seeing these shots of her running around on the beach in her sexy little bikini I’m beginning to get what the douche saw in her. Ass… That’s what he saw in her… Ass. Good choice.
We are reportedly down to three for the role of Finnick Odair. With Robert Pattinson (thankfully) out of the running for this key Catching Fire character , E! News claims producers have narrowed their choices down to the following trio: Taylor Kitsch : Beloved Friday Night Lights star who anchored two of the biggest flops in Hollywood history, John Carter and Battleship . Armie Hammer : Oscar nominee and upcoming Lone Ranger opposite Johnny Depp as Tonto. Garrett Hedlund : Starring opposite Kristen Stewart in On the Road . E! also claims The Hunger Games sequel might go with a relative nobody for Finnick, who is a former winner of the story’s annual competition and possesses both a ridiculously amazing body and a cocky personality. Which of these actors would be best suited for the part?
Actor was rumored to be in the running for ‘Hunger Games’ sequel, along with Garrett Hedlund and Armie Hammer. By Kara Warner Taylor Kitsch Photo: Getty Images And then there were two? The list of three very eligible male actors — Taylor Kitsch, Armie Hammer and Garrett Hedlund — recently speculated to be the top choices to play fan-favorite character Finnick O’Dair in the “Hunger Games” sequel “Catching Fire” has apparently been trimmed to two. Kitsch said the speculation about his possible involvement in the second film in the blockbuster franchise is just that. “Not going to happen,” the “Battleship” and “John Carter” actor wrote in an email to the Los Angeles Times this week. There has been no word from either Hammer’s or Hedlund’s camps regarding the validity of the report, but when MTV News reached out to Lionsgate for confirmation, we received this statement: “Like the first film, Lionsgate won’t be commenting on any of the rumors until we officially announce.” Finnick appears in both “Catching Fire” and the last book in the franchise, “Mockingjay,” and is memorable for his extreme attractiveness, along with the fact that 10 years before he entered the arena in “Catching Fire,” he had won the Hunger Games at age 14 using a Trident. Another actor rumored to be in the running is Robert Pattinson , who quickly put those rumors to bed. “I was kind of curious for a second,” Pattinson told USA Today about the reports. “So I called my agent. My agent was like, ‘No … no one’s going to offer you that part.’ I was like, ‘Thanks for the reassurance.’ ” This hasn’t stopped us from doing our own speculation and fan casting of the role, which provides for a fun distraction until Lionsgate makes the official announcement. There’s still time to cast your vote for “The Hunger Games” to win big at Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards , airing at 9 p.m. ET.
