broadwayworld Saturday Night Live episode this April 24 will be hosted by an Oscar-nominee Gabourey Sidibe which will feature MGMT as the musical guest. Sidibe is given the honor to host the show.  She has been nominated for a number of awards for her acclaimed turn as the title character in “Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire.” Sidibe is also a cast in the new Showtime series “The Big C” which is about a woman fighting with cancer and trying to find humor in the experience. She’ll star in the series with Oscar nominee Laura Linney and Oliver Platt. She also stars in “Yelling to the Sky,” which is due out later this year. Sidibe may have found fame in Hollywood, but the New York native’s acting skills are self-taught. In an interview with MTV News last summer, she explained, “I don’t have any formal training [on] how to be an actress.
