No decision has been made yet, but sources report that Mel Gibson is likely to be charged with domestic violence in an alleged attack on Oksana Grigorieva. At the same time, Oksana, who Mel alleges tried to bilk him out of millions by lording his taped rants over his head, is likely to be off the hook for extortion. The question complicating an already confusing, drawn-out mess of a case is whether L.A. County District Attorney Steve Cooley should even be involved. Is the D.A. biased by a connection to Oksana’s lawyer? The D.A.’s office will soon decide the fate of Oksana and Mel, but critics are pointing to fundraisers he attended on his own behalf as questionable. Why? The lawyer who negotiated Oksana’s $15 million settlement – which she left on the table, and is at the core of the extortion investigation – is Eric George. George, a prominent Beverly Hills civil lawyer, hosted both campaign fundraisers last year, while the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department was investigating. George contributed more than $8,000 to Cooley in 2010 …

SMH…: PALMDALE — A 5-month old boy stabbed by his teenage father during a child abduction in Palmdale has died, authorities say. Palmdale Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to a report of a child abduction in Palmdale at about 11:00AM, Tuesday. An Amber Alert was issued for the child and his father, 17-year old Christopher Earl Glass, around 2:00 Tuesday afternoon. According to the alert, Glass picked up his 5-month-old son from a relative’s home earlier today and drove to the child’s mother’s home. The two argued, and Glass drove off with the boy still inside his white SUV. Glass then allegedly sent a text message to the mother, threatening to stab the boy. At about 3:30 p.m. deputies who were searching for the baby saw Glass driving in the area and began to follow him. The deputies saw the suspect motion in a manner that appeared as though he was stabbing the baby as he drove his car. Attempting to get him to stop, deputies went in pursuit of the suspect’s vehicle. During a short chase, Glass slammed his SUV into a structure at the Palmdale Metrolink station. Glass got out of the car and ran, and deputies chased him on foot. Other deputies ran to the suspect’s car, picked up the baby, and raced him to the hospital in their radio car. Unfortunately, the baby was pronounced dead at the hospital. Other deputies pursuing Glass shot and killed the teenager as he broke into a nearby home Glass died at the scene. What is going on in this world? Source

Matthew Rutler Mug Shot, Christina Aguilera Arrest Details: Released!

New details have emerged on Christina Aguilera’s recent arrest , and they don’t make the singer or boyfriend Matthew Rutler look very good. Sources tell TMZ that Christina and her man dined in a private room at posh Los Angeles restaurant Osteria Mozza until well past midnight. Deep into a couple bottles of wine, a fellow patron reportedly recognized Aguilera, asked the waiter to send her a drink and was told: “She’s already drinking a bottle of wine… or two.” Hilarious. Meanwhile, both Rutler and Aguilera have been released from jail. They are allegedly holing up in her Beverly Hills home. Pulled over by police for swerving on the road, Rutler blew a .09 on the breathalyzer, according to Radar Online. The legal limit in California is .08. He doesn’t look too broken up about it in the mug shove above, does he? As for Christina, L.A. County Sheriff Office spokesperson Steve Whitmore says Aguilera was a complete mess when she and Rutler were pulled over: “When she got out of the car, she couldn’t stand. We had to help her stand. She didn’t know where she was and she didn’t know her own address. We took her into custody for her own protection.”

Singer arrested when boyfriend was pulled over on suspicion of DUI. By Gil Kaufman Christina Aguilera Photo: Jordan Strauss/ Getty Images Christina Aguilera’s public woes continued early Tuesday morning (March 1), when the singer was arrested in Los Angeles on a misdemeanor charge of public intoxication after police pulled over her boyfriend on suspicion of driving under the influence. A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department confirmed that officers observed Aguilera’s 25-year-old boyfriend Matthew Rutler driving in a manner that made them believe he was under the influence at around 2:45 a.m. on Tuesday. Aguilera was a passenger in the vehicle, and sheriff’s department spokesperson Nicole Nishida said that the 30-year-old singer was “so intoxicated she couldn’t take care of herself” and was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of suspicion of public drunkenness. Aguilera was booked into the West Hollywood sheriff’s station and released on $250 bail. A spokesperson for the singer could not be reached for comment at press time. An arrest report stated that Rutler was also booked on a misdemeanor charge of suspicion of driving under the influence at the West Hollywood station just before 3 a.m., with bail set at $30,000. It was not known at press time if Rutler had been released on bail. An anonymous source told TMZ that if “the driver had NOT been arrested for DUI, [Christina] would have never been in trouble.” Another unnamed source allegedly close to the singer told the site that her confidants have been trying to get the performer into a rehab facility for several weeks. Aguilera’s personal life and career have been on a slide over the past year, beginning with the flop of her Bionic album, which has sold only 250,000 copies in the U.S. to date. That was followed by a hastily canceled U.S. tour , the disappointing returns for her big-screen debut in “Burlesque” and her divorce from husband Jordan Bratman . Those incidents were followed by her infamous flubbing of the national anthem at February’s Super Bowl and a stumble on the Grammys stage a week later, amid tabloid reports that her partying had gotten out of hand. When A Mother’s Fed Up: Woman Arrested For Running Over Her Son With Big A$s Yukon Tire [Video]

SMH: An Augusta mother is in jail after her son accuses her of running over him with her vehicle. According to reports, Keisha Henry and her 15 year old son got into an argument at Butler High School on January 26, 2011 around 2:30 p.m. The argument escalated and became physical when he refused to apologize to a teacher. At this point, he said she approached him while in her vehicle, telling him she wanted his phone. The report says Henry then backed up her white Yukon and drove through a parking space, up over the curb, then she ran over her son. He was struck on the left leg with the front left tire. The incident was reported when a Richmond County DFCS employee called the sheriff’s office and requested a unit at MCG. Check out the video below:
