Anthony Mackie unintentionally created a lingering story when he shared his thoughts about the state of Black cinema. Mackie said that Blacks have not done enough to get their stories told. Speaking with NPR , the New Orleans-bred actor said his statement was “blown completely out of proportion,” but did acknowledge that it “was a bad choice of words by me.” He did, however, echo a similar sentiment, citing the late Don Cornelius , Bill Cosby , and Robert Townsend on using their own money to put their products out there. He said : ”If you look at all of these people from the analogs of African-American history in entertainment, they gave us a blueprint on how to make money, and how to make it work. And I feel like, you know, you get out in the L.A. life. You’re laying in the sun. You’re being invited to parties. You’re having a good time. You have girlfriends, boyfriends. You have expensive cars. You forget the idea of hustle. Khloe Kardashian may be feeling pressure to conceive , but she is not resorting to drugs to help with the process. At least not yet. That’s the message this reality star sent out this week, in response to rumors that she’s undergoing fertility treatment to ensure her and Lamar Odom will soon have a Mason Dash to call their own. “Because there is so much speculation here is my statement,” Kardashian Tweeted. “I am not at this time in my life considering any type of fertility treatments. If and when I do, I will shout it from the rooftops but for now its in Gods hands.” That might be the most reasonable thing a member of this family has ever said. Khloe and Lamar have never been shy about their desire to procreate. It goes all the way back to the fall of 2010, when Odom joked: “We’re on it right now. This weekend, Brad Pitt announced that he plans on retiring from acting in three years. Sure, a declaration like that should be taken with a grain of salt, especially considering the similar threats made by actors like Ryan Gosling and drunken directors like Steven Soderbergh , that turned out to be mere fantasies rather than concrete plans.
