Pitbull, Ne-Yo Will Give ‘Everything’ As VMA Performers

By Gil Kaufman Ne-Yo and Pitbull Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images He heated up Jennifer Lopez ‘s “On the Floor” and scored his own summertime smash with “Give Me Everything.” So it just makes sense that Pitbull would be bringing the fire to Sunday’s 2011 Video Music Awards . The Latin hip-hop sensation will join an already-stellar roster of performers on the show that includes Lady Gaga, Adele, Bruno Mars, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown and Young the Giant. The VMAs will air live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday at 9 p.m. (live ET/tape delayed PT). Find out how to win a trip to the VMAs courtesy of Foursquare and MTV! Pit will perform his chart-topping hit “Give Me Everything” with R&B star Ne-Yo and upcoming singer Nayer, bringing a club vibe to the Nokia on a night when another club-friendly singer, British pop phenom Jessie J, will serve as the night’s house artist. The “Price Tag” singer — who will tour with Katy Perry this fall — will follow in the footsteps of such luminaries as deadmau5 , Wale , Mark Ronson and the late DJ AM , who have taken the house-band honors in the past. A number of other top names have also been added to the growing list of presenters at the show, including Nicki Minaj, Taylor Lautner, Drake, Joe Jonas, Jared Leto, Kevin Hart and comedian JB Smoove of HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” They join previously announced presenters Selena Gomez — who will also anchor our black-carpet VMA Pre-Show — Seth Rogen, Kim Kardashian, Rick Ross and Odd Future. Viewers can vote for general VMA categories, including Best New Artist, by visiting VMA.MTV.com online or m.mtv.com on their mobile phone. In addition, Best New Artist text voting is open to all wireless carrier subscribers by texting BNA to 66333. Voting continues through the show, live on Sunday. Dominique Strauss-Kahn recently made a confession to his wife that either proves he never has to force himself on anybody… or kills his whole “the maid is just mad I didn’t want to pay her for the poon” defense. DSK confessed to his wife he “had” a trio of lovers as he blew off steam before the French presidential race, according to an unnamed friend of spouse Anne Sinclair, who was quoted in Le Point magazine. “So, it wasn’t just one for the road before the presidential campaign,” Sinclair’s friend said. “It was three.” Sinclair, who celebrated her 63rd birthday Friday with DSK in the Berkshires, has never believed her horny husband uses anything but charm to lure the ladies. “Dominique has never been violent with anyone,” she told friends, according to the Sunday Times of London. “Even the children, he never smacked them. He’s a seducer, not a rapist.” And he was honest about his habitual tomcatting, warning her, “Don’t marry me. I’m an incorrigible skirt chaser,” the report said. When he strayed, friends said, he would tell her, “I warned you.” Strauss-Kahn, 62, is accused of assaulting the 32-year-old maid in his Midtown Sofitel hotel room on May 14. The frisky Frenchman was apparently a man on a mission when he arrived in Manhattan on May 13. After checking in, he tried to coax a hotel receptionist up to his suite for champagne, but she declined. The sexed-up Socialist had better luck with another woman hours before the alleged attack. That woman — described by Post sources as a secret girlfriend who works in banking — was seen on surveillance video at the Sofitel with Strauss-Kahn around 1:30 a.m. on May 14. Why This Red Head “Media Thug” Rebekah Brooks Was Arrested

It’s not looking good for this Rebekah Brooks character: The U.K. police investigation into alleged phone hacking took a dramatic turn Sunday with the arrest of Rebekah Brooks, the former chief of News Corp.’s U.K. newspaper unit who resigned Friday. London’s Metropolitan Police, known as Scotland Yard, arrested her around noon Sunday when she appeared by appointment at a London police station. She hadn’t been charged. It was the 10th arrest by police in a dual probe investigating allegations of voicemail interceptions and corrupt payments to police. The allegations focus on the News of the World, News Corp.’s Sunday tabloid that the company recently closed after 168 years amid an escalating scandal. By midafternoon on Sunday, Ms. Brooks remained in police custody along with her legal representation, according to a spokesman for the former News International chief executive. “She is assisting police at the moment,” the spokesman said, noting that the appointment with police was prearranged. “Until that’s completed, I can’t really say any more.” Ms. Brooks is due to come under public scrutiny this week when she appears before a parliamentary committee alongside News Corp. Chairman and Chief Executive Rupert Murdoch and his son, James Murdoch, News Corp.’s deputy chief operating officer. The trio will face questioning from U.K. politicians about the hacking and whether executives previously misled parliament. The News Corp. phone-hacking scandal involves allegations that the company’s News of the World tabloid illegally accessed mobile-phone voice mails and bribed police to get information. The scandal has been simmering for years but escalated to a new level recently with the allegation that the paper in 2002 hacked the phone of a missing 13-year-old girl who turned out to be dead. Ms. Brooks had become the public face of the scandal and for many British lawmakers their chief target. Chris Bryant, the Labour lawmaker who has pushed the issue hardest, said he was “delighted” by the news, and that Ms. Brooks should have been arrested in 2003 when she told a parliamentary committee that News International had paid police officials. Mr. Bryant thinks that police attention should now focus on James Murdoch, given he was privy to payments made to several people who had complained of phone hacking. “It feels as if the water is lapping around the feet of the Murdoch family now,” he said. Tiger Woods’ former wife Elin Nordegren has found a new boyfriend in Jamie Dingman, a New York marketing executive, according to reports. TMZ, via a Swedish photo agency, broke the story, citing photographs of him kissing and hugging Elin Nordegren at her apartment in Sweden. The photos of Elin and Jamie Dingman together have not been released … yet. But they’re definitely together , and he’s definitely not poor. Elin Nordegren is back in the dating game. Jamie’s dad, Michael Dingman, is a wealthy investor, while Jamie himself specialized in Russian private equity funds and owned an Indy car-racing team. Interestingly, he reportedly dated Bridget Moynahan, Tom Brady’s ex, before Elin, and was also romantically linked to Princess Madeleine of Sweden. He’s got quite a Swedish princess right now, it appears! Spirces say he and Elin met at a Red Cross charity event in Florida in January and “he and Elin have strong feelings for each other,” a friend said. “He’s a classic all-American guy, but very private. He’s handsome, a total gentleman and low-key. He’s never been in the press. Elin’s a very lucky girl.” The source added, “He doesn’t play golf.” As for Tiger Woods, who divorced Elin last year after his philandering with myriad VIP cocktail waitresses was exposed, his relationship status is unclear. In a preview of the wholly unscripted drama to come this Sunday, Rob visits Kourtney and Scott’s house for the first time and explodes when asked why it took him five months to do so: “The reason I don’t come over here is because of Scott. For her new single, ‘Love You Like a Love Song,’ the pop star pays homage to cheesy ’80s clips. In the new music video for her very meta love ode, “Love You Like a Love Song,” the 18-year-old pops into sets that recall that golden age of music videos. The clip takes place in a Japanese karaoke bar, where a dolled-up Gomez (big hair, golden disco-style dress) takes the stage to perform the track, off her forthcoming album When the Sun Goes Down. Soon, she’s transported into the videos on the karaoke’s TV set. And as anyone who’s frequented such a bar knows, those often look like a mash-up of every cheesy ’80s video, movie or TV show ever made. The pop star manages to appear in scenes that recall the B-52’s, “Cry-Baby,” “Amadeus,” Belinda Carlisle and the Talking Heads, to name a few. With each new set comes a dazzling new outfit: On the beach, Gomez is hippie-chic in a flowing tie-dye gown. In the “Amadeus” set-up, she’s in her finest powdered wig and gown. While driving in a convertible, she’s wearing cat-eye tortoise-shell frames and a ’50s-esque tailored halter top. And as she nods her head on the screen with her hair in a ponytail, bright silver lipstick, sunglasses and a white suit, she looks like a cross between computer-animated ’80s TV personality Max Headroom and boyfriend Justin Bieber. Then, while hanging out in a field with a mariachi band, she sports a little dress with lots of sequins and tutu. The video closes with Gomez, back in the karaoke bar, her co-stars from all the other scenes filling the seats around the stage and giving her a round of applause. “The video is the craziest video I’ve ever done,” she shared in a behind-the-scenes video about making the clip, directed by Geremy Jasper and Georgie Greville (Goldfrapp, Florence & The Machine). “Sometimes when you’re in love, there are things you can’t really explain and it doesn’t make sense.
