Laurence Maroney Busted on Drug, Gun Charges

Former first round pick Laurence Maroney has been a bust in the NFL. Now, the running back has been busted by the police. According to the St. Louis Police Department, Maroney was one of five people arrested in a car last night that was stopped because cops observed “several occupants” smoking what they believed to be marijuana. Three firearms (a .45-caliber handgun, a 9mm pistol and a .223 -caliber rifle) were found inside the car. While authorities acknowledge that Maroney possesses a valid “Conceal and Carry” permit, it is still unlawful to carry a weapon while under the influence. Maroney hails from St.Louis and averaged a scant 2.1 yards per attempt in 2010. Says his publicist: “He holds a permit to carry a concealed weapon. He was not arrested for any drugs nor was he involved in a high-speed chase. He was released without being charged with any offense and we do not anticipate he will be charged with any criminal offense.”

Matty B Does Britney Spears

Matty B is eight years old. Eight. Kid likes to rap/sing covers of other artists’ material, and is actually petty decent considering the number of years he’s been alive don’t exceed one digit. His latest track, a rendition of Britney Spears’ hit ” Hold It Against Me ,” serves as a homage to the pop princess and a message to Matty B’s own haters. Defiantly posting some negative comments his efforts have received online, the youngster vows, while frolicking in some freshly-fallen snow, to sing on … Matty B Does Britney Spears Don’t hold it against Matty that he’s eight years old and probably makes more money than you. Hopefully Kanye agrees and will let him be #1 someday.

NeNe Leakes: Down with Kim Zolciak!

We have bad news for fans of The Real Housewives of Atlanta : the show is totally fake and scripted. Oh, also: NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak, who went at it on this week’s episode , are still angry at each other. “I haven’t spoken to Kim in six months now,” Leakes told Zap2It. “I will never speak to her again and I will never have anything to do with her again ever, because I have come to a place in my life in my life where I am comfortable. I don’t need drama. I don’t need people in my life who don’t lift my spirits.” NeNe admits that Kim can be a “great person to go out with,” but continues to take exception to how Zolciak acts toward her assistant, Sweetie. “Kim treats her like a slave. Anybody who’ll let anybody talk to them, black, white, whatever color, talk to her like, ‘Get your Black a** up,’ or ‘Get my cigarettes, “B***h,’ you have to be a slave. Because there is nothing else in the world you can be to allow that. There’s not enough money in the world to allow someone to speak to you that way.” The Bravo writers NeNe has spoken.

We give The Bachelor a hard time for being scripted and packed with contrived nonsense on a weekly basis, but last night was legitimately emotional and warm. All thanks to Emily Maynard. Just three weeks in, she’s already proven one of the sweetest, most likable and most beautiful contestants in Bachelor history. How do you not get behind that? Emily Maynard Opens Up to Brad As we discussed in our official recap of last night’s episode, not even this group of catty, crazy chicks can find a reason to hate her. That’s saying something! Her one-on-one date with Brad Womack, which we’ve posted in its entirety above, started off awkwardly because she was afraid to open up to the guy. Unlike typical Bachelor baloney, however, she’s guarded for good reason. Her story even left a vampire in tears, and Brad was understandably moved. Will she make it far? The Bachelor kicks off Monday, January 3, and amid questions of whether he’s ready this time, Brad Womack has revealed his first major spoiler so far. Well, we actually have all The Bachelor spoilers for this season. Including who he picks. Follow the link if you want to know. Here’s what Brad reveals: “I did find love. I’m very happy to say that. I’m a happy guy. It was completely different for several reasons. I was much more open to the process.” “I just had a great time.” – Brad Womack The 38-year-old hunk says he did not feel the pressure to pick someone this time and “would not let anyone pressure [him] to make a decision.” But finding love was always important to Brad Womack , so when the show approached him, he felt “really, really honored to be asked again.” “I felt like I was given a second chance. I was definitely ready,” says Womack. “I’m so happy to be able to say there is a very happy ending .” “I did find somebody, I did fall in love. A true love story happened.” Despite the happy ending, the experience didn’t start out that way. Womack admits he was very nervous about facing the bachelorettes. “I was very anxious. I was excited, of course, but I was very anxious, which turned to nerves. I was a nervous wreck,” laughs Womack. “I thought it would be easier because I’d gone through it before, but it made it more difficult. I didn’t know what the girls would think.” “It was very overwhelming. I fielded quite a few questions that first night, where I gave each and every woman a chance to ask anything.” “I calmed their fears that I was there for the right reason.” At the beginning of the season, Brad also got to see the two women he did not choose the first time, DeAnna Pappas and Jenni Croft . “It was a complete shock because I truly had no idea they were going to be there,” says Womack. “Jenni and DeAnna are incredible women.” “They were a little bit tough on me, but after we talked for awhile, all was forgiven and the three of us moved on. I gained some closure there.”

Willow Smith might be whipping her hair across the land – and inspiring one of the funnier late night talk show videos in awhile – but the singer is still just 10 years old. In the latest issue of W Magazine, Willow says simply: “I can’t do whatever I want. Mommy has to say it’s okay.” That mommy, of course, is actress Jada Pinkett Smith. As for her musical influences and inspirations, Willow touched on those topics as well in the interview: On her musical influences : “I like the way Billy Idol sings. Mommy turned me on to him. And I like Lady Gaga’s songs.” On her parents : “Mommy and Daddy inspired me to be a performer. I get my flow from Daddy, my singing ability from Mommy, and the camera stuff from both. That’s just what happens when you hang out with the Smiths!”

Two Dudes Actually Dating Stephanie Pratt

Stephanie Pratt is somehow dating two dudes at the same time. Presumably they go out on the same date, like on The Bachelorette , but still. Play on, player! A week after her bitter Twitter breakup with Josh Hansen , The Hills star is hedging her bets going forward by pursuing more than one fella interest at a time. “I’m seeing two guys right now,” she tells People , “it’s actually way more fun than seeing one. I’ve never done something like this, but it’s really quite lovely!” The She-Pratt says it’s all about keeping her options open. “It’s not really ‘single’ life, but I’m way too young for relationships,” the 24-year-old said at Tuesday’s Nylon + Express Denim Issue Party in W. Hollywood. “I’ve decided I want to keep things light , and I’ve realized that guys are children!” Stephanie Pratt says guys are basically kids who need to be trained. Well, sure, if your brother is Spencer Pratt , that’s the obvious assumption. But the point of her new strategy is to educate, not aggravate, the opposite sex. She says her two guys, who remain anonymous for now, can take a hint. “It trains them to ask for dates a lot earlier in advance,” Stephanie says. “That’s the most amazing part is that I’ve realized they can actually be trained.” Ideally, of course, she wouldn’t need to. “My perfect man is someone that wants to read a book in Hawaii,” the female Pratt says with a laugh. “I want someone that doesn’t want to be in Hollywood. I want someone who has their own deal, and who thinks that what I do is ‘weird.'” What is it that she does exactly? Just saying. Anyone?
