The man was accused of sexual assault and misconduct causing woman and allies across the country to protest his nomination. Yet, the guy still secured the judge spot….and on top of this, he’s hired all-women law clerks, according to The New York Times . Kavanaugh becomes the first Supreme Court judge to ever do this. He’s carrying out a statement he made during his second Senate Judiciary Committee hearing where he testified on allegations of sexual assault against him by Christine Blasey Ford . Kavanaugh pointed out his record of hiring female law clerks as a way to defend his respect for women. Now whether he’s providing a safe work environment for these women is a totally different story. The law clerks are made up of Shannon Grammel, Megan Lacy and one of Kavanaugh’s former clerks from the D.C. Circuit Court, Kim Jackson . The fourth clerk, Sara Nommensen , is a former student of Kavanaugh’s from Harvard Law School. She previously worked at the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Legal Counsel. According to a Guardian report, a Yale Law School professor, Amy Chua , allegedly advised female students who wanted to work with Kavanaugh to mind what they wear. She allegedly said it’s “not an accident” that Kavanaugh’s female law clerks “looked like models.” Chau later denied the report, saying in a statement to The Guardian that Kavanaugh “only hires those who are extraordinarily qualified.” Mhm. According to The National Law Journal , Kavanaugh hired 25 women and 23 men while he was an appeals court judge on the D.C. Circuit. Most of the women have supported Kavanaugh during the sexual assault allegations against him. Eighteen of them signed a letter supporting his Supreme Court confirmation.
Drake And French Montana Finally Drop A Video For “No Stylist” Fans have been patiently waiting on a video from French Montana and Drake for their track “No Stylist” ever since a snippet of the song was first leaked online so many weeks ago–and on Tuesday morning, that wish was granted. French Montana gave the people what they want by uploading a visual for his Drake-assisted track while everyone was on their morning commute to work, and the two rappers on the song are not the only ones to appear in the brand new video. Cameos from ASAP Rocky, Cam’ron, Luka Sabbat, Slick Rick, and Dapper Dan can all be found, and everyone looks like they’re having the time of their lives. When the song “No Stylist” first leaked at the top of last month, everybody was talking because of the blatant Kanye diss (“Yeah, keepin’ it G, I told her “don’t wear no 350s ’round me”), but this visual gives the track a life of it’s own beyond that one bar. You can always count on a video from French Montana and Drake to make you feel like you’re not really living life to the fullest, because they seem to be having a whole different type of fun. Different shots in the visual include: French riding around New York City with the top down and Slick Rick in his passenger seat, and when he’s not with the hip hop legend, Mr. Montana is posted up in front of the bodega with model and Grown-ish star Luka Sabbat. As for Drizzy, it looks like his number one priority is to get these bars off. They also don't all get along so well. Or so we've heard, at least. Moreover, Jacob quit the show awhile back… Molly wants no part of the show… and even Jeremy and Audrey walked away this summer . For all these reasons and more, it's rare to find all the Roloffs in one location. But that's exactly what transpired over the weekend, as relatives came from far and near for one special reason: The start of pumpkin season!!!! In case you haven’t checked in on Scott Disick in a while, and you were hoping that his cradle-robbing relationship with Sofia Richie had quietly come to an end … we have some bad news for you. While Disick and Sofia did break up over the summer in a brief burst rationality, they’ve since resumed their ill-advised romance. And as you can see, Scott reminded the world of that fact in somewhat uncomfortable fashion over the weekend It seems he and Sofia traveled to Las Vegas to attend UFC 229 on Saturday night. Sofia posted this pic on her Instagram page pre-fight. “The man in the mirror,” she captioned the image. Of course, at that point in the evening, Scott and Sofia had no idea what was in store. As you may have heard, the evening’s main event was a much-hyped bout between outspoken Irishman Connor McGregor and the undefeated Russian juggernaut Khabib Nurmagomedov. After McGregor was forced to tap out, all hell broke loose, as Khabib leaped into the crowd to fight a heckler. Several members of the Russian’s team entered the ring with the intention of attacking McGregor, and arena security was forced to rush front row attendees to safety. “So the night ended with us getting rushed out!” Richie later wrote in an Instagram story. “Of course I attend the fight that ends in a riot.” We’re sure it was an unpleasant experience, but Sofia has been with Scott for quite some time now. So by now, she must be accustomed to short, angry dudes exhibiting wild bursts of erratic behavior. Anyway, there’s been enough coverage of the fight and its totally bonkers aftermath. We’re here to discuss the fully-clothed, yet oddly-intimate photo that Scott took and Sofia posted. Now, Sofia is 20, which means she’s a consenting adult, and her relationship with Scott is perfectly legal, and yada, yada, yada. But when they started dating, she was still in her teens, and since he’s a 35-year-old father of three, there’s a considerable ick factor to this relationship. Ben Affleck is out of rehab. But is the actor out of the woods when it comes to potential dangers that could result from an ongoing drinking problem? No. However, to celebrate his release from his latest stint inside a treatment facility, Affleck just took a trip into the woods with surprisingly serious girlfriend Shauna Sexton . It’s been a whirlwind several days for Affleck. The actor has, at last, finalized his divorce from Jenner Garner; and he’s also left rehab for the third time, following an extended stay that some dumb people on the Internet attributed to Sexton herself . Free from his wife and free from the bottle, Affleck jetted off this weekend to Big Sky, Montana with Sexton. The pair clearly wanted to get away from it all, spending their time in the wilderness and the water, with Shauna chronicling a lot of the trip on social media. Affleck drove, for example: And Sexton hoped to catch dinner: And she even succeeded at one point! Affleck has a personal connection to where he vacationed with Sexton. The star has spent the past three Christmases in Big Sky with his ex-wife, Garner, and their three kids: daughters Violet, 12, and Seraphina, 9, and son Samuel, 6. That makes it sort of interesting that he chose to also go there with Shauna, perhaps signifying to the world just how serious this relationship has become. Most celebrity gossip followers assume at first that Affleck was merely banging a Playboy centerfold because, well… that seemed very on-brand for him when the two were spotted out together this summer. But then Sexton visited Affleck in rehab , signaling that this relationship was about far more than mere boot-knocking and/or hip-thrusting. Days after Affleck agreed to receive treatment for his addiction, Sexton shut down rumors that she played a role in her boyfriend’s relapse, writing on Instagram: “Ben is a grown ass man, baby. He makes his own decisions.” And he has clearly now decided to take the romantic plunge with Sexton. He’s also opened up to the public about his rehabilitation and his hopes for the future. “This week I completed a forty day stay at a treatment center for alcohol addiction and remain in outpatient care,” Affleck said in a statement last week, adding in more gracious detail: The support I have received from my family, colleagues, and fans means more to me than I can say. It’s given me the strength and support to speak about my illness with others. Battling any addiction is a lifelong and difficult struggle. Because of that, one is never really in or out of treatment. It is a full-time commitment. I am fighting for myself and my family. So many people have reached out on social media and spoken about their own journeys with addiction. To those people, I want to say thank you. Your strength is inspiring and is supporting me in ways I didn’t think was possible. It helps to know I am not alone. As I’ve had to remind myself, if you have a problem, getting help is a sign of courage, not weakness or failure. With acceptance and humility, I continue to avail myself with the help of so many people and I am grateful to all those who are there for me. Melissa Gentz , 22, posted a picture of her bruised and bloodied face on social media. Her attacker was her socialite boyfriend Erick Bretz according to New York Daily News . He allegedly attacked Gentz on September 23 in his downtown Tampa condo tower. Melissa, a University of South Florida student, posted her scars on Instagram three days later writing: “You know how we usually have a side of our face that we prefer more than the other? I like my left side. Unfortunately, it’s the side that was severely bruised by violence,” she captioned the image. “Today was the first day in which I felt like passing some mascara and blush on the right side of my face… I won’t hide the marks of my story because NO woman should feel ashamed of (sic) feel blamed for being a victim of domestic violence.” You can check out Gentz’ graphic pic for yourself here . The bruises Gentz suffered went viral in her native Brazil with over 1 million shares of her photo. Even actress and model Luiz Brunet shared Gentz’s story on her Instagram. Brazilian soap star Joao Vicente de Castro also wrote, “Courageous. Doing what you have done is important and necessary. I’m proud of people like you. We are with you.” Four days after posting her initial photo, Gentz shared another pic of her bruised face, but this time it was nestled in a basket of flowers. “Life moves on and we’re all strong enough to put ourselves first,” she wrote. You can check out that photo here . Erick Bretz’s father owns one of Brazil’s largest grocery chains and he’s also known on the Brazilailan Motocross Championship circuit. Gentz and Bretz were reportedly dating for three months before the September 23 attack. The altercation allegedly grew after Bretz mixed insomnia medication with alcohol. He allegedly kicked Gentz in the face and tried to strangle her with his legs. She also told the cops that he punched her in the face, struck her in the face with a bottle, and pulled out chunks of her hair. Bretz, 25 was arrested on charges of domestic battery by strangulation and tampering with a witness. He was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail, then was later released on a $60,000 bail. He has since pleaded not guilty.

Malcolm-Jamal Warner never stops working! From his teen days as Theo Huxtable on the Cosby Show to being the cool ladies man on shows like Malcolm & Eddie, MJW has been super consistent in his 30-plus year career. Now the Emmy nominated star is playing a Heart Surgeon on the hit FOX show The Resident. We talked to Warner about playing not only a Black doctor, but a cardiothoracic surgeon in a time when respresentation is more important than ever. He stated, “We spend so much time trying to show the gamit of African American images that I think it’s wonderful to have a Black man as not only one of the top cardiothoracic surgeons in the country, but he’s unabashedly confident about his skills.” During Maocolm’s days on the Cosby Show, one of his former costars was actor Geoffrey Owens who recently made headlines a fan photo of him bagging grocers at Trader Joe’s went viral. Malcolm said if the incident, ”I think I was more moved by the love and support that Geoffrey got and how the internet just really rallied behind him and shamed those who were at the time trying to shame him. Especially when you look at social media and see how terrible people can be, it was really heart warming to see how many people came behind him to be supportive.“ As for what fans can expect from Season 2 or The Resident, “I think what’s really exciting for all of us is that we get to pull back some layers and see what makes each person tick. And it’s fun for us because as much research and homework we’ve done on our characters, there’s still things we’re learning from the writers. “ The Resident is a cool, new medical drama that focuses on the lives and duties of staff members at Chastain Park Memorial Hospital. As they learn the ins and outs of the medical field — we learn the ins and outs and their personal lives and the lives of some of their patients. Warner plays AJ Austin aka The Raptor, a larger-than-life cardio-thoracic surgeon whose uncontrollable personality makes him a serious liability to the hospital. Malcolm-Jamal Warner, who went from recurring character in season 1 to being promoted to a series regular, describes season 2 of the FOX drama as “riveting”, which is code for “you don’t want to miss any of it”. Southern Charm is no stranger to controversy — most notably the stunning rise and fall of Thomas Ravenel . This time, it’s Cameran Eubanks who’s been put in the hotseat. Not by police, but by her own followers. When she shared her opinion about vaccines, the backlash was so intense that she deleted her tweet — and apologized. On Thursday, Southern Charm star Cameran Eubanks decided to encourage her followers to make responsible health decisions. She posted a photo of the bandage on her arm, announcing that she had just receive her flu vaccine for this year. Cameran then encouraged her fans and followers to do the same. It’s not just the right thing to do for themselves — it can help to protect others, including those with compromised immune systems. The backlash to her post was enough that she promptly deleted it. After deleting her post, she shared an undeserved apology message with her followers. “I just deleted a post that I made today about my belief in getting the flu shot,” she began. “Never did I think it would cause such a fuss,” she explains. A few years ago, it might not have. But thanks to internet algorithms, dangerous misinformation spreads like a virus. “I’m sorry to all I offended who don’t believe in vaccinating themselves and their children,” she writes. “If you do not vaccinate I do not think you are stupid or wrong,” Cameran generously claims. Not everyone would be so charitable in their assessment of people who endanger their children and others by believing falsehoods. “We just disagree,” she writes. “I have always said I will not talk about religion or politics on social media,” Cameran concludes. “And now I’m adding vaccines too.” This is not the first time that Cameran has been taken aback by an unexpected controversy. “Palmer had hers today,” Cameran shared about her 11-month-old. “I played baby shark and not even a whimper. Couldn’t believe it. God bless that annoying ass song!” Her Southern Charm costar, the incomparable Patricia Altschul, also posted on Thursday after she received her flu shot. “@caconover is right! I just had my flu shot and I can only walk backwards #southerncharm #medicine.” Craig Conover, everyone’s favorite formerly reformed playboy who talks like a frat guy, has some wild opinions about vaccines. He called them a “crazy government shot” that would force him to walk backwards for the rest of his life. Honestly, that’s not the worst thing that we’ve heard an anti-vaxxer say, but … that’s not saying much. Patricia was not the only one who leapt to Cameran’s defense. “Um your post literally reminded me to sign up for ours,” wrote one fan. “Appointments booked. Thank you for posting about it!” “It’s not a matter of belief or disbelief, nor opinion. It’s a matter of science and facts,” correctly asserted another fan. That comment continued: “Vaccines save lives and suffering and those who choose not to certainly have the right to that choice, but yeah, they are wrong.” “My family doesn’t get the flu shot,” wrote another commenter. “And I still found nothing wrong with your post!” Vaccinations aren’t just a personal decision — they help protect those with compromised immune systems through “herd immunity.” Someone whose immune system doesn’t function at full capacity cannot be vaccinated, so they are vulnerable to the flu — or something worse, like measles. But everyone with whom they come into contact is vaccinated, then they are insulated by the “herd” and less likely to be exposed to a contagion. As for the theories about vaccines being dangerous … some of that is misinformation, and some is fearmongering. (Personal note: I am one of the one-in-a-million people who had a strongly adverse reaction to a vaccination as an infant; the real virus would have been worse and I’m glad that I was vaccinated) Vaccines do not cause autism, but even if they did, we would all rather see a child be autistic than die of a preventable disease.
