Marlene King spoke to our friends at SheKnows and answered a few key questions about what’s on tap. On Red Coat : The audience knows Red Coat. It’s a character that each of the PLLs have had a scene with. On the future of Ezria : I disagree with Spencer’s attitude towards hope. I don’t believe it breeds eternal misery. There’s always a chance for Ezria. On Mona : I wouldn’t use the word accepted. I would say the Liars and Mona are unlikely allies. They’re all looking for Red Coat, but we can never trust Mona’s intentions. The Bachelorette’s Ben Scott is already being set up as the season’s villain. That doesn’t appear to bother the 29-year-old Dallas entrepreneur, though. Despite making enemies for interrupting another suitor’s chat with Desiree Hartsock – when he already had a rose, no less – Ben says he’ll do what he has to do. How far will he make it? The Bachelorette spoilers shed light on that, if you want to know. But it sure looks like he’s a strong contender at this stage. Scott, who also raised eyebrows by introducing his young son to Des the first night, spoke with reporters about the heat he’s taken so far this season. On introducing Brody : “It didn’t matter what everybody else thought. [I only wondered] how is this going to affect Desiree and my son’s mother?” “I confirmed that she was 100% okay with this before any of it happened.” “The main reason I brought Brody was to see how Des reacted when she [realized] I was a father. It was a big risk. It could have gone two ways.” “[Either] she’s going to love the fact that I’m a father, proud of my son, or it’s going to show me that she’s not ready to … become a mother figure.” “Des was 100 percent open to [it]. It made me extremely happy.” On barging in on Michael’s one-on-one time : “I have no regrets. This is a show to find love. I was there to see if [she’s] the one I’m going to spend life with.” “That came back to bite me with some guys. But without time, you can’t grow your relationship. Those minutes I got were great minutes that helped.” “I love talking to her. Could how I got that time been handled differently? Of course. But you’re nervous in a situation you’re not used to and I wanted to talk.” “I feel bad that I hurt somebody’s feelings but in the moment, it felt right.” On whether the guys are just jealous : “I’ve gone into this knowing that things may be said that I may not like. I’m not worrying about what other people said.” “I don’t hold anything against the other guys [or] their opinions.” “I don’t focus on negative things so I wasn’t going to let what happened with Michael affect what was happening with me and Des. My intentions were in the right place.” “Des was my main concentration throughout. Some people make judgments without truly knowing somebody. People will decide on their own.” “The only [opinions] that I would be concerned with was my family … as long as I’m being who I am and I’m doing things my mother would be okay with seeing on TV, I’m okay.” On whether Desiree Hartsock is the one : I don’t jump into things extremely fast, but there was definitely a connection. We have a lot of things in common and things are going really well.” “I’m excited. Des is an amazing kisser.”

Industry executives, analysts and press are headed to L.A. today for the Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3 2013, the #1 U.S. gaming trade show. With the imminent release of two new consoles – the Sony PlayStation 4 and the Microsoft Xbox One – this year’s E3 promises to be especially noteworthy. There are also likely to be huge innovations in games, gaming technology and accessories on display at E3. Here’s a rundown on what you can expect … Microsoft will be showing off a whopping 20 games today. The company behind XBox One released a teaser trailer for its E3 2013 showing last week. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is expected to be announced for Xbox One during Microsoft’s E3 conference, following confirmation of PS4 and PC versions. Call of Duty: Ghosts gameplay will be shown during Microsoft’s E3 conference, care of Activision; the publisher gave gamers an early glimpse of footage. EA may unveil Dragon Age information during its EA conference today; whether that means Dragon Age 3 or something else remains to be seen. Watch Dogs is to receive a new trailer during the Ubisoft conference tonight, but the footage has leaked onto the ‘net early. You can watch the footage right here. Activision is bringing Bungie’s Destiny and Skylanders: Swap Force to E3 2013. Destiny gameplay has been confirmed for Sony’s pre-E3 conference. Titanfall is the first game from Respawn Entertainment under publisher EA. It’s coming to PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, and should be unveiled today. DICE has confirmed “surprises” at E3, and as the publisher recently updated Mirror’s Edge 2 domains, odds are we could see a free-running sequel today. Sony is expected to announce PS4 pricing at under $400 over E3. Also on PS4, a new trailer for Blacklight: Retribution has prompted major speculation. Zombie Studio’s horror romp Daylight has been confirmed for PS4. Nintendo has confirmed it will unveil the first trailer for the new Super Smash Bros. game on Wii U and 3DS during its Nintendo Direct broadcast today. Its counterpart Sega has announced its E3 line-up, including Total War: Rome 2 and the remake of Mickey Mouse romp Castle of Illusion. Twisted Pixel’s LocoCycle was announced at last year’s Microsoft conference, but now it’s been confirmed as an Xbox One launch title. Check it out here. Konami has revealed its E3 2013 trailer for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. Kojima Productions has confirmed that Keifer Sutherland will play Big Boss. Namco is bringing Tekken Revolution to the E3 2013 show floor. Eve Online developer CCP Games has confirmed that its Oculus-powered dogfight game Eve VR will be playable on the E3 show floor Monday. Deep Silver has unveiled an E3 trailer for Volition Inc’s bat-shit mental Saint’s Row 4. The publisher also has Grasshopper’s Killer is Dead on the show floor. Finally, Publisher 505 Games is bringing the new Starbreeze game Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons and Payday 2 to the E3 show floor, among others.
There was no topping the Red Wedding on last night’s Game of Thrones Season 3 finale. But there was plenty for the HBO epic to set up for next season, from Arya making her first kill to Ygritte shooting arrows into Jon Snow to Jaime actually returning home. Elsewhere, Dany conquered Yunkai and received a hero’s welcome; while Joffrey challenged Tywin and Walder Frey savored his bloody victory from the Sunday before. LeAnn Rimes has come cleaner than ever before in a new interview with People . The singer – whose affair with now-husband Eddie Cibrian in 2009 colored her as the villain in a never-ending feud with Brandi Glanville – talked to the magazine from her home in Los Angeles recently and admitted: “I made some really bad choices. I caused hurt.” Why is she speaking out now? Because Rimes will release “Spitfire” out June 4 and the tracks on the album apparently document the drama that has comprised her life for the last four years. Some lyrics even include an apology to ex-husband Dean Sheremet . “I broke the sweetest heart of the only man that’s ever loved me,” she sings in “What Have I Done.” Rimes also combines non-fiction with art when crooning about being a mistress in “Borrowed” and she makes a peace offering to a woman scorned in “Just a Girl Like You.” “I’ve grown up a lot these last five years,” LeAnn tells People . “I thought my life was falling apart, but now everything is good.”
They sure do! Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young made it official yesterday: they are the First Couple of American Idol . The former contestants exchanged vows in front of 250 friends and family members the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel in Los Angeles. DeGarmo (a Season 3 runner-up) and Young (a contestant on Season 5) started dating while performing in a Broadway production of Hair in 2010. They got engaged during the Season 11 live finale last May. Said Young to People shortly after the ceremony: “Today was the best day of my life. Diana and I are in it forever. She’s my best friend.”
The Doctor will soon be out. Speaking to The Daily Telegraph this week, Matt Smith confirmed that he will soon exit Doctor Who , the iconic BBC series he joined as the titular hero in 2010. Said the star, whose final appearance will be this year’s Christmas special: “Doctor Who has been the most brilliant experience for me as an actor and a bloke, and that largely is down to the cast, crew and fans of the show. I’m incredibly grateful to all the cast and crew who work tirelessly every day, to realize all the elements of the show and deliver Doctor Who to the audience.” Smith made a point to acknowledge long-time producer Steven Moffat and then, of course, turned his focus to the show’s followers. “The fans of Doctor Who around the world are unlike any other; they dress up, shout louder, know more about the history of the show (and speculate more about the future of the show) in a way that I’ve never seen before, your dedication is truly remarkable. Thank you so very much for supporting my incarnation of the Time Lord, number Eleven, who I might add is not done yet, I’m back for the 50th anniversary and the Christmas special.” It’s unknown who will replace Smith in the lead role, but Jenna-Louise Coleman will stick around as the Doctor’s companion.
There’s no way… is there? A documentary that aired over the weekend on Discovery’s Animal Planet has raised new questions over the existence of mermaids. Aptly titled Mermaids: The New Evidence , the series examines the myth and the rumors surrounding these aquatic hominids. It is a follow-up to 2012’s Mermaids: The Body Found . The program netted record ratings for the network, despite The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration stating that “no evidence” of these creatures has ever been found.
