Oh, Mother. On last night’s How I Met Your Mother Season 8 finale, the CBS sitcom shocked a number of viewers by finally revealing the face of the titular parent. Viewers were actually treated to her identity before Ted, as we saw Tony Award nominee Cristin Milioti holding a yellow umbrella and asking for a train ticket to close out the episode. Bravo is yet to make it official, but sources confirm to Us Weekly and a couple other outlets: The Real Housewives of New York City Season 6 is a go, with all cast members having signed new contracts with the network following a round of tense negotiations. As previously reported, LuAnn de Lesseps, Carole Radziwill, Aviva Drescher, Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan and Heather Thomson had banded together in an attempt to negotiate for more money . But while it’s unclear who balked first – the ladies or Bravo – Singer signed on the dotted line early Friday. Morgan, Drescher, Radziwill, Thomson and LuAnn then fell into line. The series is coming off its lowest-rated season to date and no premiere date has been established for new episodes. Production, however, is expected to get underway this week.
Ready for Every Weeknight Update? In a move that’s been rumored for week, Seth Meyers was officially named the next host of Late Night on NBC today. He will take over for Jimmy Fallon when that comedian slides into Jay Leo’s spot at 11:35 p.m. in 2014. Said Bob Greenblatt, Chairman of NBC Entertainment, in announcing the news: “We think Seth is one of the brightest, most insightful comedy writers and performers of his generation. His years at SNL’s ‘Weekend Update’ desk, not to mention being head writer of the show for many seasons, helped him hone a topical brand of comedy that is perfect for the ‘Late Night’ franchise.” Added Meyers himself: “I only have to work for [producer Lorne Michaels] for five more years before I pay him back for the time I totaled his car. 12:30 on NBC has long been incredible real estate. As a photographer in London found out a couple months ago, and then a neighbor discovered in Calabasas soon afterward, Justin Bieber can become quite animated at times. But the superstar will literally become a cartoon this Sunday when he cameos on The Simpsons , stopping by the Fox sitcom as himself on “The Fabulous Faker Boy.” As producer Al Jean teases to Entertainment Weekly, Bieber will attempt to enter a Springfield talent show, only “they won’t admit him.” The nerve! The CW is officially taking viewers to New Orleans. Following last night’s backdoor pilot of The Originals , the network has ordered this Vampire Diaries to series for the fall. It will appear on the 2013-2014 schedule. And so will Beauty and the Beast and Hart of Dixie , both of which were also renewed by The CW. These shows join Arrow , Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries as programs that have been picked up by the network. No word yet on Nikita or The Carrie Diaries . But it’s not looking good for either.
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have broken up, according to the N.Y. Post . One source close to the celebrity couple said, “Miley and Liam are done; it’s over. She likes to party really hard and can be pretty wild.” “It became a problem for him.” Another source added, “They’ve broken up before, and are broken up now . There was big drama because she suspected he had a wandering eye.” Don’t buy her denials, either, says the insider, noting, “While Miley has insisted they are still together, right now they are very, very much apart.” The news, while not confirmed by either party, comes amid multiple reports of trouble in paradise and the pair more or less parting ways for weeks. Hemsworth, 23, returned to his native Australia because, “He needed to get away from L.A. and spend some time with his brother and friends.” Meanwhile, back in the U.S., Miley Cyrus was photographed outside an L.A. recording studio without her engagement ring, but with a mystery man . It was even reported that Liam slept with January Jones at one point this winter, “jilting” the former Hannah Montana star. It’s been a tough stretch. The Miley Cyrus split rumors reached a boiling point last week. Cyrus, 20, Tweeted: “I am so sick of La. And sick of the lies that come with it. I didn’t call off my wedding. Taking a break from social media. #draining.” She also wrote that her new album will “shut everyone up.” Cyrus and Hemsworth became engaged last May, but the evidence that they’ve been going through a rough patch in 2013 soon began to pile up. Another source added, “Miley is a fiery character. They do fight, but she is crazy about Liam. She isn’t ready to accept it but it might be over for good.” Again, Miley and Liam have not confirmed anything as far as an official split, so stay tuned. Still, it doesn’t look good for the couple of three years.

The ghost of Biggie Smalls – as well as the late rapper’s children – are set to star in a new animated TV show. Seriously. This is an actual project. The show will focus on Biggie Smalls’ offspring and how they’re running his New York recording studio, producers from Ossian Media said. House of Wallace will star T’yanna Wallace, 19, and C.J. Wallace, 16, voicing their animated likenesses. The hip-hop legend’s kids said in a statement: “It’s been 16 years since our Dad was murdered and we miss him dearly.” “It is such an honor for us to be able to carry on his legacy , not only through his music but also by channeling him through our own creativity.” ” House Of Wallace is a great opportunity to bridge the gap between our parents who loved his music and [those who were] not around to really appreciate it.” Christopher Wallace, a.k.a. Notorious B.I.G., a.k.a. Biggie Smalls, was murdered in 1997. He was only 24 years old; the crime remains unsolved. While the media group has yet to partner with a network, it has a few in mind to bring this to fruition. Another major selling point? B.I.G.’s music. The series will reportedly feature original songs, as well as re-imagined renditions of some of the many classics from the Chris Wallace catalog. It is not known who will voice Biggie Smalls’ ghost, but the rapper’s spirit is expected to be a central character on the series, mentoring the kids. The ghost will “appear in ethereal form to guide them through the adversities they face as they struggle to preserve their father’s labor of love.” It’s no Tupac hologram … but we’re intrigued.
The person(s) responsible for hacking celebrities’ finances apparently like to think of themselves as heroes as well as outlaws … a la Dexter Morgan. At the top of the hackers’ website is the line, “If you believe that God makes miracles, you have to wonder if Satan has a few up his sleeve.” This is one of the most memorable Dexter quotes : Best Dexter Quote The hackers’ love for the Showtime series/protagonist apparently runs as deep as their dislike for Michelle Obama , the most famous of their celeb targets. The website’s source code also apparently includes a link to a hidden YouTube video that doesn’t appear anywhere on the actual page. The video is the Dexter end credits theme music. TMZ noted these specifics , though their self-righteous vigilantism – a trait exhibited by Michael C. Hall’s serial killer character – is common among hacktivists. The motto on their Twitter, in Russian, also translates to “F**k the police.” Among those hacked: FLOTUS, Kim Kardashian , Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Mel Gibson, Ashton Kutcher, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Donald Trump, Al Gore, and Hulk Hogan. No one knows how or why those victims were selected. The FBI says an aggressive investigation is underway and is encouraging all high-profile celebrities and government officials to LOCK DOWN their accounts ASAP.
