Paris reveals best advice Michael gave her. By Gil Kaufman Paris Jackson appears on “Ellen” Photo: Warner Bros Paris Jackson will give her first-ever solo interview on Thursday morning (December 15) when she appears on “The Ellen DeGenres Show” to promote her upcoming acting debut. After a cloistered childhood, Paris, 13, the only daughter of late pop icon Michael Jackson , opened up to Ellen about her formerly sheltered life and how her dad’s music inspired her acting. In excerpts released before the airing, Paris explained that her dad helped her prepare for her upcoming first movie role, in which she’ll play Lundon in “Lundon’s Bridge and the Three Keys,” an adaptation of the fantasy series based on writer Dennis Christen’s novels. “When I was really little my dad was in the movie ‘Moonwalker’ and I knew he could sing really well but I didn’t know he could act,” she said. “I saw that and I said, ‘Wow, I want to be just like him.’ ” She said Michael also gave her at-home acting lessons. “We would do improv together. He would give us little scenarios. He would (say), ‘OK, in this scene you’re going to cry’ and I’d cry on the spot.” In one of the most (literally) revealing moments, Paris explained what it felt like for herself and her siblings, Prince and Blanket, to wear disguises for most of their young lives. “I’m like, ‘This is stupid. Why am I wearing a mask?’ But I kind of realized the older I got like he only tried to protect us and he’d explain that to us too,” she said. The masks, in fact, helped the three kids live as normal a life as they possibly could considering that their dad was one of the most-sought-after paparazzi targets on earth. “I do have like a regular childhood,” she said. “I mean, I’m treated the same. When I came to [my new school] they didn’t know who I was. I was like, ‘Yes, I have a chance to be normal.'” When asked if she realized how big a deal her dad was when she was a child, Paris admitted, “I just thought, ‘He’s got a few songs out,’ but I figured everyone did that.” In the action-animation hybrid “Lundon,” Paris will voice the lead character, a human, in a fantasy adventure in which “sea magic turns a dolphin into a human, a teenage boy into a dragonfly and a loving jellyfish queen into an evil fairy godmother.” Among the other voices in the movie are former CNN personality Larry King and his wife, Shawn, and ex ‘NSYNC member Joey Fatone. Paris told DeGeneres that her dad warned her before his surprise death in June 2009 that he would not be around forever. “He said, ‘If I die tomorrow always remember what I told you.’ I took his advice and I remembered everything he told me,” she said. Marvel Mania explores five things we want to see in the upcoming ‘Spider-Man’ trailer. By Josh Wigler Andrew Garfield as The Amazing Spider-Man Photo: Sony Pictures Superhero fans are hard-pressed to think about anything other than “The Dark Knight Rises” right now, what with the early screening of the prologue this week, the wider release of that six-minute sequence Friday and the impending arrival of a full-length trailer. But don’t forget to look at the other side of the comic book aisle: Marvel’s got some big moves coming your way soon with a brand-new “Amazing Spider-Man” trailer, rumored to drop as early as this week. Whether we get an extended peek at Spidey’s next adventure by end of day Friday remains to be seen, but a longer look at director Marc Webb’s upcoming reboot is definitely coming our way sooner rather than later. In anticipation of that release, here are the five things we want to see from the next “Amazing Spider-Man” trailer: Another Perspective The previous “Spider-Man” trailer made a controversial choice in showing its only action scene purely from the perspective of Peter Parker . Some people enjoyed the scene; some people didn’t. Regardless, any new “Amazing Spider-Man” trailer has to show Parker in full-on web gear hitting the New York streets and kicking criminal butt. Marc Webb is an untested quantity as an action director, so showing what he’s capable of in that department will go a long way toward winning over the fanbase. When Peter Met Gwen In terms of the women in Parker’s life, “Spider-Man” moviegoers are most familiar with Mary Jane Watson, even if Gwen Stacy did have a small part to play in “Spider-Man 3.” (Yes, despite your best efforts to forget, that movie did happen.) MJ is out this time, and Gwen is taking the spotlight courtesy of Emma Stone. We saw a little bit of her in the last teaser but not much. Getting a chance to glimpse her chemistry with co-star Andrew Garfield is something we’re very much looking forward to. Bring the Funny We don’t need any more shots of Peter gazing at a far-off sunset with longing in his eyes. We got plenty of that in the last teaser. What we do need is an amped-up laugh factor. Wisecracking is just as much a part of Spidey’s skill set as wall-crawling and web-shooting, after all, and anyone who has seen Garfield act knows that he can bring the funny. Let’s just hope he brings it in the upcoming trailer. Daddy Issues That said, if there’s one somber element we do want to see in the new trailer, it’s more information on Peter’s missing parents. Webb has teased in the past that “Amazing Spider-Man” deals with the disappearance of our hero’s mom and dad early in his childhood, something that really hasn’t been explored too frequently in the greater Spidey mythology. It’s a curious choice to bring to the movie franchise, and we’re equally curious to see how it plays out. Meet the Lizard Now, we don’t need to see the entirety of Curt Connors’ monstrous transformation, but we need to see something, even if it’s just a two-second tease at the very end of the trailer. Hearing Rhys Ifans’ admittedly menacing voice over the last trailer was cool, but now it’s time for more. Any Spider-Man action will (hopefully) be good Spider-Man action, but seeing the web-slinger go toe-to-toe against the Lizard, even if it’s only for a moment, would really make this trailer “Amazing.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Amazing Spider-Man.” For breaking news and previews of the latest comic book movies — updated around the clock — visit SplashPage.MTV.com . To be fair, there was never any possibility of me seeing Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked in theaters…however there was a possibility that I might opt to half-watch a complimentary in-flight screening of the threequel if the airborne opportunity ever arose. To determine whether there might be any reward to this risk, I bravely watched six new clips from the upcoming comedy and logged my observations. Hopefully you’ll find them helpful when determining whether to see Fox’s furry CGI trio get Chipwrecked yourself.
Pippa’s getting naughty….dressing all fetishy…maybe it is because of the upcoming holidays…when Kate is scheduled to attend all these glorious parties…like the Queen’s speech from the palace Christmas morning, while Pippa will be living the life of a pauper by comparission, in a what may have been a great plotline of a Disney movie, or Dickens novel….seriously, one sister in the palace, the other drinking on her couch watching Dancing with the Stars…or whatever the fuck Brit’s watch…. She is inadequate, her life will never be as good as her sisters, she will always be the second string, least favorite, stuck in the shadow….unless she breaks free and sacrifices her dignity to get revenge on her family for doing this to her… Sometimes it all starts with a plaid school girl skirt….
Cassie is still determined to have a flourishing music career despite her less-than-legendary voice, and taking a page straight out of fellow femme fatale Rihanna’s book, she using the “sex sells” method. Wearing what can (very loosely) be described as a halter top in her new video “King Of Hearts,” Cassie uses her history as a model to set the screen on fire – quite literally – as she plays with a lighter, struts her stuff around a house, takes a bath, and puts on a “show” for a mysterious man with a camera. “King Of Hearts” will be the first single from her upcoming sophomore album due next year.
