Wow. A Swedish man was being treated in hospital Sunday after being dug out alive from his snow-buried car in which he had survived for two months with no food, according to police and local media. The 45-year-old from southern Sweden was found on Friday, emaciated and too weak to utter more than a few words. The BBC reported the temperature in the area had recently dropped to -22F (-30C). He was found not far from the city of Umea in the north of Sweden by snowmobilers who thought they had come across a car wreck until they dug their way to a window and saw movement inside. The man, who was laying in the back seat in a sleeping bag, said he had been in the car since December 19. “Just incredible that he’s alive considering that he had no food, but also since it’s been really cold for some time after Christmas,” a rescue team member told regional daily Vasterbottens-Kuriren, which broke the news. Certainly I think there are some people who for religious reasons or personal reasons just wouldn’t want to eat that.” The menu listed the ingredients for the signature pizza as follows: swinging steak, bleu cheese, and charred onions. Although, it was the restaurant staff’s mistake in not properly informing the customer of what “swinging steak” was. “We do put on the menu that it’s swing steak. These terrorists aren’t about that life. U.S. Capitol Police and the FBI on Friday arrested a Moroccan man who was planning a suicide attack on the Capitol, authorities said. The suspect, identified as Amine Khalifi, arrived at a federal courthouse in Alexandria, Virginia, where he was expected to make an appearance in the afternoon, court officials said. In announcing Khalifi’s arrest, Justice Department spokesman Dean Boyd said the man had received what he thought was a vest with explosives, but the materials in the vest had been rendered inoperable by law enforcement. Khalifi was arrested as soon as he accepted the vest from undercover officers, according to a federal law enforcement source. He was also given a gun, which was similarly rendered inoperable, officials said. The 29-year-old suspect was living in Alexandria and was in the United States illegally, the source said. A second source, a government official, said the planned attack was meant to be carried out Friday. Khalifi has lived in the United States for 12 years, the government official said. The investigation began when the suspect began talking with an undercover agent. “The suspect was talking about blowing up military installations, and synagogues and said he wanted to blow up a restaurant,” the government official said. The man had been closely monitored as part of a lengthy and extensive undercover operation, police said, adding that U.S. Capitol Police had been “intimately” involved in the investigation. Virginia keeps getting more and more backwards. And their new abortion law is just insane. This week, the Virginia state Legislature passed a bill that would require women to have an ultrasound before they may have an abortion. Because the great majority of abortions occur during the first 12 weeks, that means most women will be forced to have a transvaginal procedure, in which a probe is inserted into the vagina, and then moved around until an ultrasound image is produced. Since a proposed amendment to the bill—a provision that would have had the patient consent to this bodily intrusion or allowed the physician to opt not to do the vaginal ultrasound—failed on 64-34 vote, the law provides that women seeking an abortion in Virginia will be forcibly penetrated for no medical reason. What’s more, a provision of the law that has received almost no media attention would ensure that a certification by the doctor that the patient either did or didn’t “avail herself of the opportunity” to view the ultrasound or listen to the fetal heartbeat will go into the woman’s medical record. Whether she wants it there or not. So if you want an abortion in Virginia, you’ll be forcibly penetrated whether you really want it or not – by an ultrasound probing device. The point is to shame women into hearing heartbeats and seeing their child before having the abortion. Then it’ll go on their records. Multiplatinum producer Timbaland , who’s looking for the New England Patriots to defeat the New York Giants on Sunday night (February 5), decided to make a song about it. “I just did it almost to be playing around, just to do it,” Timbaland told MTV News on Friday from his home in Miami. “It turned out bigger than what I thought.” The song, which is dedicated to Patriots tight end Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski was uploaded to YouTube last week with the football star’s name as its title. The track was produced by Virginia native Tim and Wizz Dumb, but it’s newcomer Brasco who rhymes on the energetic tune. “They’re yelling, ‘Touchdown, touchdown, 87, 87,” he raps, referring to Gronk’s number. Gronkowski has 90 catches and 17 touchdowns this season but after suffering a high-ankle sprain, #87 is listed as questionable and may not play in the Super Bowl, though multiple sources tell ESPN that Gronkowski is doing better and is expected to play. Whether or not Gronk plays, Timbaland is rooting for New England. “I’ve always been a Tom Brady fan,” he said of the Pats’ quarterback and biggest star. “I’ve always liked the Patriots, how they move, how the coach coaches, how the players — you don’t hear too much about their business in the media.” The last time these two teams faced off for the championship was in 2008’s Super Bowl XLII, and the Giants came out on top. So for New England and their faithful following, Sunday’s big game is a chance at redemption. “It’s like a fight. You get one up, the Giants got one up so, of course, the Patriots gotta win,” Timbaland said. “If the Patriots win, it’ll be a tie. … Hopefully, they’ll win.
