Jessica Simpson Shows Off Her Fatness of the Day

Like all fat chicks, she just keeps growing and growing…If there is one thing I hate about fat people, it’s not their eating or their sleep apnea that keeps me up all night cuz the bitch is a fucking louder and gives off more heat than a broken furnace, it’s when they accept being fat, embrace being fat and parade their fat asses around like a cow at the county fair, hoping that other people will follow the fucking lead and give them the respect they feel they deserve because they have no self control and eat their loneliness away every night. It looks like there is no stop to this fat shit, and one day they’ll have to crane this pig to the hospital for gastic bypass and the whole thing is pretty sad, cuz when she was disciplined before being tired of all the work that went into being disciplined, she was pretty fucking spectacular…sure we all knew her body and tits had the capacity to become this…we just never thought the Hollywood pressure would allow her to be… It’s all very depressing, but not as depressing as it is for her mattress…. She’s still a decent target for gold diggers and I really don’t know why no one has knocked her up yet, cuz fat or not, she’s a meal ticket who loves as many meals as she can fit into her busy day of eating… I’m just happy she’s not pullin a Kim Kardashian fat chick style tip and wearing spandex….cuz that the kind of shit hell is made of.

Interpol Introduce Fans To New Music At Intimate L.A. Show

Band also breaks out favorites ‘NYC,’ ‘Evil’ in Santa Monica, California, recording studio. By Ryan J. Downey Paul Banks of Interpol performs onstage September 6 Photo: Jeremiah Garcia/ KCRW SANTA MONICA, California — They may have named a new song “Barricade,” but there was nothing of the sort separating Interpol from their fans Monday night as they performed for 150 lucky people in a small recording studio on the eve of their new album’s release. The performance will air Thursday on KCRW’s “Morning Becomes Eclectic” radio show, alongside a short interview. The band played eight songs, more than half of them from their self-titled fourth album, which was released Tuesday (September 7). Fan favorites like “NYC” were included, with the invite-only audience joining frontman Paul Banks in the “But hey, who’s on trial?” refrain during a set-closing “Evil.” In less than two weeks, the New York band will open for U2 in giant venues, but on Monday night, Berkeley Street Studios in Santa Monica was the very definition of intimate. With soft lighting and heavy drapery, producer Bob Clearmountain’s studio had a hipster living-room vibe that meshed nicely with Interpol’s dark atmospherics as the invited guests sipped free booze. Astute indie-rock fans recognized Dave Pajo from his work with Slint and Yeah Yeah Yeahs as he did a more-than-admirable job stepping in for recently departed bassist Carlos D . Brandon Curtis, from Secret Machines, is another new addition to Interpol’s live lineup, providing “keys and BVs,” as the band likes to say — “BVs” being musician shorthand, of course, for backing vocals. Vocalist/guitarist Banks, guitarist Daniel Kessler and cocktail-carrying drummer Sam Fogarino — who together comprise the “official” lineup in press photos and the like — walked casually to the small stage with Pajo and Curtis and quietly picked up their instruments shortly after 8 p.m. Kessler wore a big smile throughout the proceedings, which makes sense, as these makers of Joy Division-meets-Wall of Sound dark rock have a lot to smile about right now. The group’s new album not only marks a return to the indie label that launched them, Matador, after a stint with the majors, but a return to form as well, according to critics. Reviews were mixed for Our Love to Admire (2007), but folks are already comparing the new record favorably to Interpol’s beloved Antics (2004) and their debut, Turn on the Bright Lights (2002). On the eve of their fourth album’s release, as the band that wrote “NYC” found themselves on the other side of the country in front of an intimate private audience, they seemed relaxed and happy and certainly looked as dependably well-dressed as ever, all in black. They opened with “Success,” which also kicks off the new album, followed by another new track, “Summer Well.” Playing material that isn’t immediately familiar to an audience can be awkward, but it was received warmly, with excited cheers greeting “Narc,” from Antics. Enthusiasm was high in the room throughout, but the fans kept themselves at a politely low volume, with equal reverence for being part of such a special occasion as for the band’s moody crescendos juxtaposed with tightly wound stops, starts and often bass-led rhythms. After another new song, “Lights,” Interpol paused for an interview conducted by KCRW music director Jason Bentley. They spoke highly of the new touring lineup and fondly of both Carlos D (whose departure was amicable) and his contributions to the new album and Matador Records. The second half of the set began with a pair of two more new songs, “Try It On” and “Barricade,” before the group closed with “NYC” and “Evil,” which was met with the most raucous reception. The group, which had performed with measured composure throughout, was at its loosest during this song as well, with Banks visibly grinning about the sing-along and Kessler moving a bit more. We Call Bullshit!…Black Members of Tea Party Dispute Racist Claims

WASHINGTON (AP) – Black members of the tea party movement on Wednesday rejected charges that the group’s activists are racist, saying they oppose President Barack Obama because of his policies not his skin color. The members gathered at a Washington news conference in the wake of allegations about its rank and file, heightened by the recent split with a Tea Party Express leader who had posted a letter on his blog written from “Colored People” to Abraham Lincoln. The post suggested that black people would choose slavery over having to do real work. The black members said the racism that has been attributed to the tea party movement came from outsiders who infiltrated the groups to discredit their work and it should be rejected. “These people do not oppose Barack Obama because of his skin color. They oppose him because of his policies,” said Lloyd Marcus, a spokesman for the group. The NAACP last month approved a resolution condemning racism within the tea party movement and called on activists to “repudiate the racist element and activities” within the political movement. At the news conference, several members assailed Obama and the Democrats, often in harsh terms. “Democrats have re-enslaved America,” said Kevin Jackson, president of the Black Conservative Coalition. He said tea party activists, if successful, would reduce the size of government and set in motion another Emancipation Proclamation, the document that President Abraham Lincoln signed that effectively ended slavery. “This time, even the white folks get freed,” said Jackson, who accused Obama of viewing fellow blacks as “mongrels.” Democratic National Committee spokesman Hari Sevugan declined to respond to the tea party leaders’ criticism. The White House also declined to comment. http://biggovernment.com/publius/2010/08/04/ap-black-members-of-tea-party-disput… added by: congoboy

Liberal Radio Host Asks Christian Conservative: ‘How Many More Children Will Have to Die Before You Guys Back Off?’

Nationally syndicated liberal radio host Thom Hartmann is no Keith Olbermann — he’s not allergic to conservatives on his show. But that doesn’t mean he’s kind, or even fair. Focus on the Family has a new “True Tolerance” campaign focused on stopping school bullying — against everyone — but without programs that promote moral acceptance of homosexuality. FOTF’s Candi Cushman appeared on CNN this week to debate this, but Anderson Cooper wasn’t half as rough as Hartmann on Thursday afternoon. He mentioned that gay teens are much more likely to attempt suicide than straight teens and then just asked Cushman, point blank: “How many more children will have to die before you guys back off?” This, in itself, is a form of bullying. You must accept left-wing lesson plans formulated by Obama “safe schools” czar Kevin Jennings and his group GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network) or you favor gay teen suicide. Like a typical liberal, Hartmann wants the liberal, secular worldview on sexuality taught because it’s based on “science” and the opposing conservative view is infected by religion, which must not be allowed to inform a viewpoint anywhere in a public school. He lectured Cushman: The reason why I don’t want your viewpoints promoted in school is, a) they’re not based in science, they’re based in religion, and I believe in a separation of church and state, and b) taken to the extreme, maybe not yours but many of the people in your movement, what they do is they cause more kids to commit suicide…I think that you and the work that you’re doing and the people who you’re associated with are creating an environment that is killing our children.  Hartmann has provided yet another example of how liberal talk radio is not a reasonable or civil space to discuss and debate issues. It’s far too often a forum for mudslinging of the most vicious kind.

Mayor takes $90,000 pay cut to help struggling Mississippi city

CNN) — The city of Biloxi, Mississippi, is in a financial rut. Its sales and gaming taxes have been sliding for two years. So the mayor is voluntarily taking a $90,000 pay cut and will supplement his income with retirement money. “I just thought it was the right thing to do,” said Mayor A.J. Holloway, who will earn $27,000 a year after the cut. The nationwide economic gloom has affected Biloxi, which was a tourist hot spot before Hurricane Katrina ripped waterfront properties apart in 2005. “We lost a lot of our businesses along Highway 90,” Holloway said. Many of those businesses decided not to rebuild along the scenic “Beach Boulevard” and relocated to other cities, far from the threat of a storm surge. The moves left the town struggling economically. Holloway proposed ideas on ways to reduce the budget, including new taxes. The city pays 100 percent of its employees' health benefits, in addition to coverage for dependents. The mayor suggested having the employees foot part of the bill for dependents. City council officials voted against both ideas. The city took out a loan with a $6 million line of credit just to meet payrolls. Biloxi subsidizes a regional airport about $115,000 a year, but can no longer do that. The same goes for various health agencies and nonprofits. Holloway said he will likely have to order furloughs for city employees. Meanwhile, the mayor is willing to put his money where his mouth is with an 80 percent pay cut that will free up thousands for the city budget. The city council is reviewing the budget proposals this month. If the budget is approved, he plans to keep his old schedule despite the new pay. “Frankly, I enjoy the work,” Holloway said. “And we have a great deal more to accomplish. I could go for another six to eight years.” And, the mayor says, the pay cut is not part of a re-election strategy. “I'm in my second year of my fifth term, so I have nearly three more years before I would be running for re-election,” he said. Despite the gloomy economic outlook, there are a few bright spots for Biloxi. The city was not affected by the oil spill that left millions of barrels of crude gushing into the Gulf of Mexico. “We got some tar patties and some tar balls in spots,” Holloway said. But Biloxi never had to close its beaches. http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/09/01/mississippi.mayor.pay.cut/index.html?hpt=C2 added by: onemalefla

M. Night Shyamalan Explains Origins Of ‘Devil’

‘Night Chronicles’ trilogy is a world where the ‘worst things happen,’ director tells MTV News. By Josh Horowitz M. Night Shyamalan Photo: MTV News M. Night Shyamalan is not letting the rather mixed reviews for “The Last Airbender” darken his easygoing spirit or dampen his creative verve. Late last month, as “Airbender” continued to rake in dough overseas, Shyamalan sat down with MTV News to chat about his upcoming “Devil,” which follows five strangers trapped in an elevator — one of whom just might be the Prince of Darkness. The film is the first in his planned “Night Chronicles” trilogy, a series based on his original ideas and helmed by other directors, and Shyamalan seems to relish the idea of getting out of the director’s chair and into the role of producer, a job he likened to being the goalie on a hockey team.
