New Web-Only Larry Crowne Trailer Spoils Entire Movie

It’s unofficially spoiler week here on the Internet. On Thursday, Paramount confounded J.J. Abrams fans by unveiling a Super 8 spoiler clip so huge that Movieline couldn’t even post the teaser in good conscience. Perhaps Dakota’s little (and more talented?) sister just then realized that she’s gotten to work with Crowe, J.J. Barry Levinson and Al Pacino to Tackle Erotic Philip Roth Novel The Humbling

Not to worry, Barry Levinson ‘s still hard at work hammering that Gotti: Three Generations biopic into something that’s starting to kinda-sorta resemble The Godfather , depending on how much you buy into Levinson’s hype . But first, Deadline reports, Levinson and Gotti co-star Al Pacino (who most recently teamed up on the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning You Don’t Know Jack ) will film their adaptation of Philip Roth’s 2009 erotically-tinged novel The Humbling . Cue the sexy sexagenarian shenanigans!

Friday Box Office: X-Men: First Class Earns Top Marks

On Friday, July 14, 2000 , Bryan Singer’s X-Men earned $20.7 million at the box office, on the way toward an opening weekend of $54 million. Just shy of eleven years later, Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class earned $21 million on Friday night, and should be on course for an opening frame totaling $53 million. Symmetry! Elsewhere, The Hangover Part II dropped 65 percent from Friday to Friday, but the record-breaking sequel still earned $11 million last night. That kind of scratch buys plenty of smoking monkeys .
