People Ain’t Isht: Man Nearly Beats Girlfriend To Death At Casino, Blames Free Drinks, Sues Hotel

Man Blames Casino For The Life-Threatening Beating He Gave His Girlfriend People never cease to amaze us at how ain’t-s#!t they can be… A story in the Allentown Morning Call details how Nicholas Mullins beat his girlfriend within nearly an inch of her life at an area casino hotel. Mullins assault on Caitlin Shields was so bruthal that he was charged with attempted murder when her brain swelled to massive proportions. Well, if you thought THAT was the part that made Nicholas “ain’t-s#!t”, there’s more…he is now suing the casino and blaming THEM for his violent attack. How can it possibly be the casino’s fault, you ask? According to Nicholas, they should have never served him 15 free drinks. That’s right, the open bar is the cause of a woman nearly dying. Oh, and after beating her unconscious, good ol’ Nic also tried to smother her with a pillow. Mullins served 4 years in the bing for his crime, but he’s suing because the felony on his record is preventing him from finding a job. Let’s all say it together: Awwwwwwwwww! Nic and his scumbag lawyer are suing under the “Dram Shop Act” which holds businesses liable for overserving alchol to clearly intoxicated patrons. We hope both of these bastards burn in Hell. “Black-ish” Creator Kenya Barris Sued By Man Claiming He Helped Create The Hit Show

Kenya Barris Sued Over Taking Full Credit For “Black-ish” When success comes knocking and the glow-up is real…people inevitably start emerging looking for a cut of the action. Things are no different with “Black-ish” creator Kenya Barris. Just days after it was announced that he was granted a multi-million dollar movie deal after the success of the ABC show…a man claiming to have helped Barris conceptualize the show concept has come from the woodwork looking for cash and credit. Via TMZ : The hugely successful creator of “Black-ish” forgot someone on his way to the top … namely the guy who says the show is based on his life. Kenya Barris is the credited creator of the huge ABC hit, starring Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross, and Bryan Barber says he and Kenya go way back to their college days in 1996. In a lawsuit Barber just filed — obtained by TMZ — he says he and Kenya both became writers and both had agents at William Morris. He says they formed a partnership in 2006, and came up with a script focusing on the “black experience” … through the eyes of a “successful, creative and affluent black man” working in the mostly white entertainment industry. That’s Anderson’s character to a T, except he works at an ad agency. In the the suit, Barber says the script was based on HIS life experiences, and he and Kenya agreed to exploit it for their benefit. Problem is … he says they parted ways before 2014, when “Black-ish” debuted. Barber says “Black-ish” has tons of similarities to the OG show idea — such as the lead character driving a luxury car, wearing high-end clothes, and marrying a bi-racial doctor named “Rainbow.” He’s suing Barris and the show’s production company for at least $1 million. Plus, he wants writer and creator credits which would net him even more dough. We’ve reached out to Kenya’s rep … no word back. Yikes. Well time will tell if this guy truly has a case. It certainly seems to have taken him a long time to get upset enough to look for his just due… ABC Continue reading

Kardashians: Deceiving Fans With Illegal Instagrams?

The Kardashians are famous for being paid oodles of cash to promote a product, but are they playing by the rules (or rather, the law) when it comes to sponsored posts? According to Page Six , a letter from watchdog group Truth In Advertising reportedly sent a letter to momager Kris Jenner’s legal team, warning her that they “have found that members of the Kardashian/Jenner family are engaged in deceptive marketing campaigns .” The group has been meticulously following the Instagram accounts of Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian, as well as their younger sisters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, and gathered 27 companies – incluing Puma, Calvin Klein, JetSmarter, Fit Tea, Estée Lauder and Karl Lagerfeld – they were working with. What the group found was “a plethora of posts that do not clearly or conspicuously disclose their relationships with the companies being promoted in the posts as is required by federal law.” The group has informed Jenner that if the issues aren’t “fully corrected” by Wednesday, the family will be reported to the Federal Trade Commission. It’s no secret that the Kardashians have been hawking products since Keeping Up With The Kardashians became wildly popular in 2007, but federal law requires that a company and its participants clearly state that the post is sponsored.  “The law is clear and people are not following it, and it’s not being enforced very often,” TINA spokeswoman Bonnie Patten told Page Si x. Social media is becoming the new medium for advertising, and this law is making it even more difficult for a celebrity or person of influence to share a product with followers without being asked, “is this sponsored? Are you being paid to promote this?” The Fashion Law website broke it down for readers, clarifying what constitutes a sponsored post . “Is posting a photo an endorsement? The FTC says yes!” The Fashion Law explains. “A photo is enough to trigger the need to disclose: Simply posting a picture of a product on social media, such as on Pinterest or Instagram, or a video of you using it, could convey that you like and approve of the product. If it does, it’s an endorsement and must be disclosed.” View Slideshow: 14 Times Celebrities Totally Failed on Social Media

The Voice Coaches Team Up for Epic "Dream On" Rendition

When The Voice Season 11 premieres on September 19, Miley Cyrus, Alicia Keys, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine will be in competition with each other. They'll be jostling and arguing over which prospective contestants will be a part of their team. But the singers put all (jovial) animosity aside on Sunday night, teaming up for a special 30-minute preview of The Voice. The preview aired after NBC's coverage of the Summer Olympics, which ended up being extremely appropriate. Because Miley, Blake, Adam and Alicia put on a Gold Medal-worthy performance to conclude the special. It features all four artists on stage, belting out a version of the Aerosmith classic, “Dream On.” At one point, Levine even made Steven Tyler proud with his very impression rendition of Tyler's famous high-pitched vocals. It was pretty astounding, actually. We're not sure if anyone else in the music business could have pulled it off. Earlier in the episode, we were treated to a sneak peek at two of this season’s Blind Auditions, with the talent level threatening to reach its highest point to date. We couldn't believe a couple of the aspiring singers were just 17 years old. But that's all for a few weeks from now. You'll get to know the contestants a lot better on September 19 when The Voice returns. For now, we strongly recommend that readers give these coaches a few minutes of their time in order to check out their “Dream On” rendition. It's fantastic.
